You don't really need a character sheet if you don't plan on doing any battle threads. Try starting off with casual RP, and then once you get comfortable you can do some other stuff. That's how I go with RP. And being late isn't a problem much here.

Character sheets are nice to give you an idea of what your character can do, but aren't necessary. Its mostly just deciding a character you want to roleplay, and reacting with them. Though one-liners are generally frowned upon, well, length isn't mandatory. As a general rule I like to type out everything that would be visible that the character does.

Don't worry about it! Even if you're a beginner, you'll pick things up as you go along! Character sheets are optional. Heck, I just have a joke for my description! But if you wanna have it on hand or for others to see, go ahead. Free country or whatever! Phansite rp is usually in a format where actions are indicated by *this*, (this), [this], etc. Normal text is speech. However, feel free to write more "novel-like", aka the common style in most off-site rps.

Ah, I see. Most people define their actions with astericks and speak without quotes. Others, like Hazel, define their actions without asterisks and mark speaking with quotes. There are some more styles of RP, which you will see when you go around the RP threads here. Sorry if my explanation is slightly confusing.

If you wanna rp the best way is to just hop in, I would recommend having a character with a defined backstory and personality, it doesn't have to be complex but knowing these things in advance can help, For combat because this is a persona site most people have personas, you can either already have one or awaken one on site A good tip is to try to be as descriptive as possible, well written posts are better than short ones so take your time! Lastly if you have questions OOC (out of character) most people are friendly and will help you out

We'll answer all your questions ^^ Also, if you plan on doing a character and you're not sure how to make it balanced, you can always come to me. As for how to rp, practice makes perfect I say. Just fling yourself into a plot ( though there isn't much going on right now I think) and do stuff. And a couple of things to look out for as they can be considered annoying by some are things like OOC knowledge, godmoding and general out of character things that you shouldn't actually be capable of doing.

Oh and, don't be afraid to bring in things that aren't quite persona-ish. None of the characters I play are even remotely close to persona. I got FF, Okami, touhou, BlazBlue, etc...
