A spirited family's haunting.
Having been sent to get rid of the source of the dangerous mist by the village elder, you arrive at the giant tree from which the mist hails. Around you, corpses of the previous adventurers who came here before lay strewn around. Some of them even seem familiar, but they're too disfigured to put a name on.
On the tree is a door handle. Around you, there's nothing but trees. having promised to get rid of the mist, you have no choice but to enter.
[Alright, time for some rules. So, there are two challenges to this story:
1) no magic. This is lowkey a no fighting story. You'll be up against ghosts. the best you can hope to do is hide from them. The other for no magic rule is so you have to do the puzzles the way they are intended. I don't think they'll give you any trouble though, so don't worry.
2) You'll loose your sanity if you stay too long. You have 18 sanity points. Each turn spent in in the tree house (this includes the tree itself) will drain you of one sanity point. special events inside the house may drain more points. It'd be nice if your character acted more and more insane as they slowly loose their sanity, but you don't have to force yourself to do it.
"What happens if loose all my sanity?" Once your sanity hits zero, you'll be insane. You get one turn to act like it. Once that turn is over, you'll be sent outside the house and you'll have to either wait for the completion of the plot or wait for the rest of your group to be thrown outside. If everyone is expelled, I'll probably take a break or even postpone the story to the next day. If you have any questions, ask away]
[I'll wait a bit to get some players. players from the previous session keep their items. The items will respawn in the house, so even if an ancient player isn't here, you can still get key items. Max player count is 5. I won't accept players past a certain point in the game. feel free to ask for joining though.]
