Games that were surprisingly emotional for you?
I'm just gonna flat-out say it: Game Freak is probably trying to cultivate our tears with the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games. For example, I picked up Explorers of Time expecting a simple dungeon crawler, but soon became attached to the interesting story and characters. I remember wanting to punch Team Skull in the face and was honestly blown away by the game's plot twist. And... the ending, well... my poor heart
You know what was emotional for me? When Mona didn't get his fatty tuna. Jk, that was a funny scene. Tbh, I felt like the emotional game for me waaaassss...I dunno because I laughed at all of the moments that were supposed to be tear-jerking. Like Mufasa's death!
For me, It's not so much the game's story as much as it is my memories and the stories I personally made with the game that made me emotional. That being said, Free Realms is by far one of my favorite games and has made me the most emotional I've been while playing a video game. I just loved exploring the big (for smol me) world around me, rapidly switching between jobs for no apparent reason and just jumping on those spring pads in the beach area just to see the different jobs' flipping animations. I used to play this game religiously with my cousin and I got a huge surge of energy ever since the Free Realms Sunrise announcement earlier this year.
This is gonna sound memey but honestly I was not prepared for Hatoful Boyfriend's hidden ending.
(Same with Asagao Academy's hidden Jacques route)
Plz don't remind me of the Jaques route. Hmm I think it's kingdom Hearts. I thought hey it's from Disney, it'll be happy. As a kid I saw a friend playing it and was scared of the Nobodies. And I started with 358/6 Days so jep it got emotional for me.
P4. Sure, watching the anime beforehand told me I'd be in for feels, but I didn't cry for the anime, but once I heard NEVER MO-ORE SASUGA MAI NICHIIIIII, I cried like a bitch.
^ never more makes me emotional too. It's not a game, but I cried at a bunch of Jojo deaths. Being so memed and funny, I didn't expect the kind of drama that it has. SHIIIIIIIIIIZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Mario Kart when I got hit by a blue shell.
The last chapters of Gravity Rush 2 combined with what they did for the end credits hit me much harder than I ever expected. I almost shed a tear. P5 got to me more than the other Persona games too. Something about it resonated with me more than the others.
