GYM Echoes: Shadows of Fitness
*Gym stands as study as ever, most likely newly refurbished by the Kirijo group after previous combats. Emerson, still not having his own key, breaks down the front door, knowing Kalib basically expects it from him at this point. Breathing in the fresh air, he turns on the lights and begins repairing the door.* Man, this place sure is quiet today... Maybe some good noise will bring some people in.
*GYM not Gym fuck
*A young woman catches sight of Em as he kicks down the door. She hesitates, before walking in after him* Excuse me little lamb. Is this your business? It seems like a bad idea to break in somewhere, you could be mistaken for a thief.
*Where there is GYM there is Kool Aid! The pitcher crashes through the door and this time not spilling a drop, instead it behind to put equipment into its juice as it begins to disintegrate, eventually it's a empty building, as it runs away happily
*Em jolts at the word of the woman, before awkwardly standing and placing his right hand on the back of his neck.* O-oh, sorry. My friend owns this place, actually. He just hasn't given me a key yet, so... Yeah, I definitely see how someone could think I'm a thief. Granted, there isn't much of monetary value in here. Maybe those protein things..?
*The young woman chuckles and finds a spot to sit down* You know, its rude to just enter someone else's home without permission. Perhaps you should think these things through a little better. As long as you meant no harm I'm sure he'll forgive you. Just be sure to ask when you next see him. Can you do that for me?
*Emerson laughs along with her, before leaning on a nearby wall, gazing at the main lobby of GYM.* Yeah, although he'll still probably kill me for the door. I'm sure he's used to it, but I guess I should just ask him for a key at this point, rather than busting more of his doors. *He finally settles down, before looking over the woman he's been talking to.* Pardon me if this is a little presumptuous, but you don't seem like the type of person to visit a sparring hall under regular circumstances. I'm going to assume you happened to see me perform that little act while passing by.
*The young woman nods and smiles at Em* You made quite a bit of noise doing so. I take it you're burdened somewhat. If you like you can always talk to me. I consider it my duty to help little lambs like yourself.
*He thinks on it for a bit, before returning his attention to her.* I guess I'm just missing the front lines of combat right now. I've been busy with my work, and even when I do join combat, I don't exactly have the most firepower compared to everyone else. Maybe I just need a pick-me-up? A little boost to get me back in the game..? *His voice trails off and his head turns downward. His left hand instinctively begins creating a ball of light, shifting it between different objects.*
*The woman looks down at her staff, gingerly taking a small amulet off one of the corners, she holds it to her chest* You're saying you enjoy fighting? I've never really been able to stand it myself... So much suffering is found on a battlefield.... But... I suppose its better to get these sorts of things over with somewhere safe, isn't it?
(A cloaked man steps over the knocked down door with a small laugh. Meanwhile his face is obscured by the hood.) Brute force may be able to break down a locked door, but knowledge is a skeleton key. (The young man would stand and watch the pair in silence after speaking.)
*The young woman stands and turns to the newcomer, before bowing with a smile* Force may be able to get you much, and knowledge even more, but faith is the key to the impossible. That is to say, miracles happen all the time, and come most often to those who believe.
*Em turns his head back up, still playing with light in his hand.* That's... a difficult question... I'm not sure if I enjoy fighting generally. On one hand, being able to test my strength against a friend is enjoyable, since we both come out understanding each other a little more. And it can help us be more prepared for when an eventual threat comes along that we can't fight against with negotiation. But otherwise... I... *Emerson hesitates, before turning his head away and continuing.* I don't really enjoy fighting too much. It's stressful, it's tough, and it's not fun for either side.
Miracles huh? I'd have to disagree. (The man shakes his head.) Miracles are nothing more than the work of deities vying for the praise and worship of the masses. (He'd ball his hands into fists.) Gods are nothing more than over inflated egos given shape. They all treat mortals as though they are merely pieces to use and abuse as they see fit. (With a deep breath he'd compose himself once more as his fists open up.) Real miracles come from the acts of mortals achieving their own goals. Not from a God playing at being benevolent.
*The young woman looks back at Em with concern* Surely there's nothing much to fear. After all, everyone I've met has been kind. Some of them are lost and confused, yes, but no one seems to bear any ill will. Really, its quite a bit nicer than back home. *The young woman then turns back to Jace, nodding sorrowfully* It is true that many gods are little better than us mortals, always fighting and bickering amongst themselves. However, I believe in something greater. A God who's loving and righteous. A kind Lord who defends his flock in their hour of need. *The woman smiles at him and closes her eyes* One who cares not for one's past, only for one's future.
Thank goodness. (The young man lets out a sigh of relief as he takes off his hood.) I was really hoping you weren't some zealot, but you seem to acknowledge the flaws of the "higher powers". And for your sake, I hope this God of yours is just as righteous as you claim. (He'd grin before looking around the interior of the building.) If I may, what is this place? I've never seen anything like this back in Vryn.
*Em's eyes widen after hearing Eris' words.* Oh, so I guess you haven't been told much about this place then? Well, I don't know if I need to go in detail, but this place has some pretty nasty evils. embodiments of Sins, an embodiment of pure evil, other things... There's actually a lot of bad things if you look hard enough. And if you don't look for them, they'll eventually catch up to you...
*The young woman shakes her head* As the delinquent has said, I'm quite new around here. This seems to be some sort of place where people can exercise their bodies. At least, that's my understanding. *She then takes out another amulet, one depicting a kneeling angel* It seems that evil lurks in every world, just as I had feared. *She stands up and holds the amulet tightly* While I hope to never have any need for it, a shepherd must always be prepared to defend their flock. If any evil truly does appear, then I must do anything I can to stop it.
(Jace holds out his hand as a blue light surrounds it.) Likewise. I made an agreement to protect all Planes of existence. This Nexus is no exception. (He closes his hand into a fist and the light fades.) Though I should see what types of warriors we have in this world. So a facility like this is perfect for my research!
H-hey! Who're you calling a delinquent! *Emerson calms down a bit, before following up on her assessment of GYM.* This place does function as a regular gym, but we also use the sparring hall out back for practice matches. Honestly, very few people actually use this place as a gym anymore. I've done so once or twice, but that was ages ago. Anyways, miss... y'know, I actually don't think I've caught your name. Anyways, I'm honestly curious how you fight. The foes we face are pretty... tough. If you're not up to the task, I'd recommend you try to stay near our main fighters as much as you can.
*Eris giggles and puts the angel amulet back, instead pulling out one of a bird* My name is Eris, Eris Anthule. I don't like to fight, but well. *She looks closely at the amulet, before smiling and holding it close* I hoped never to use these again, but if such a need comes... It would be best if I were used to it. *Eris closes her eyes and chants* Wings of white, hear my plea and descend among the people once more. *The amulet flashes brightly for a moment, when the light clears, a large. white falcon with an armored beak and claw is perched on her shoulder*
*he enters in with his Sweet Business minigun slung over his back* Hey there Eme. Long time isn't it?
Huh. So, you summon other beings to fight for you? I suppose that kind of explains the distaste in fighting... If you don't choose to risk yourself in combat, then having to put others at risk to fight for you would be... disheartening. Once you start to fight with your own power, you start to realize the reason why people fight in the first place, I guess.
A bit extravagant but perhaps that's how you simply channel your own power. (The young man would raise his right hand above his head. The same blue light from before rising to his hand once more as the head of an eel-like creature takes form as a blue phantasm.) This, however, is my power. (The eel would float above Jace as he goes to speak.) I too would like to assess your abilities. However, I've no qualms with being the one to spectate. Research is research at the end of the day.
*The falcon nuzzles its beak against Eris's face, letting out a bit of a squeak* Nothing is at risk here. After all, the Lord would never allow true harm to befall his messengers. No, my problem is with the reasons people fight. While they may be well-intentioned, such as fighting to see a loved one, to protect those you hold dear, to rescue a friend, ultimately no conflict should be unavoidable. It is sad to see how few share my opinion though. *The falcon leaps off of Eris's shoulder, and flaps its wings to hover in the air as she brings out another amulet* Now, perhaps it would be best to simply show, rather than tell? Not everything can be understood through words alone.
Well, and this is just a quick summary of a fight from the other day, but when you see a guy literally steal the essence of a friend of yours directly infront of your face, then immediately shouts, "I'm going to make some new friends," I'm pretty sure it's better to not lose any more people and take him down. *Em sighs, before looking back at her with a smile.* I totally agree we should try to end conflicts with negotiation, but unfortunately not many people here tend to be so kind. Most are pretty far set in their path of evil, and don't listen to what we say...
(The young man would sigh.) Agreed there, my friend. Some people are just too selfish for their own good. Or something to that end, causing them to go way off the deep end.
Aincrad walks in stretching and looking around at everyone. "Hey how are you peoples?" With that he walks around and sits down looking at Eris. "That seems to be a pretty nice bird, how did you armour them?"
*Breaks down door and walks in*
OOC: The door was already broken.
OOC: Well shoot...
(Basically just assume it's always broken.)
*Eris smiles and looks at Aincrad as the bird glances around the crowd, as though waiting for something* Its a long story, but the bird isn't really mine. I'm simply calling on a little help from above.... It might not be proper for something so arbitrary as training, but if I can help this little lamb then so much the better.
He smiles and gets up and walks around. "Interesting indeed. So from above is probably from celestial beings correct? So that makes him... what a spirit?" He looks around at the others and smiles. "I take it that makes you a nun? And who's the little lamb?" He shakes his head and looks back at Eris. "Anyways my name is Aincrad. Nice to meet you."
Er, are you referring to me? Are you... asking to spar with me? Well, I'd be glad to, honestly.
*Walks in* Heyyy nerdzzz... Whatchu doinnn? *Totally not drunk*
*he walks up to Eris and taps her on the shoulder* You must be the priest how helped my member of my fire team member Zarvon the Nightstalker. Then if so, thank you. *he bows to her in deep respect*
(Jace stifles a laugh.) For someone with so much potential...you really don't pick up on cues. Your mind is an interesting one, friend.
*Eris smiles and gestures towards Em. The falcon seems to take this as its cue and dives towards him, claws outstretched* He was wanting some help with practice, so I figu.... *Eris catches sight of her eager pet and smiles at it* Well, at least I hope that's what he intended. Regardless. *Eris clears her throat and clutches an amulet depicting a fox tightly, she focuses on the trinket* Oh incandescent guardian, hear my pleas once more......
*Pulls out deagle thinking it's an evoker and shoots himself* Perzonaa- *Blood drips from his skull as he's on the berge of death, but is stilla live apparantly.
OOC: Fucking mobile I swear. *verge*
*Em puts up his arms to guard, a small layer of hard light forming on them to protect his skin from the bird's talons.* H-hey, we should move over to the battlefield! It's not nice to do this in the lobby... *He begins to slowly move himself over to the battlefield, keeping an eye on the falcon.*
Aincrad walks forward and casts Salvation on Pika. "Come on, you're drunk. Probably shouldn't carry guns with you." He then turns to Jace. "Well Jace, care to go a round? If those two are training, we might as well join in. It helps moving around and let's me learn new tactics. Sound good?"
*Follows Aincrad* Ima watch dis.. cuz I'm pretttttyyy surree i cannnott fighhhht in thiss stattteee...
*The bird's talons glance off the light before it returns to Eris and nuzzles against her, she giggles at the display of affection* Now now, settle down little one. Allow us to move over first. *Eris walks to the far side of the battle area before the falcon leaves her arm and begins to hover in the air around her, glaring at Emerson*
(The eel-like phantasm would fade as Jace shakes his head.) Unfortunately I'd have to decline. I have my suspicions about these two and I need to remain focused to research their skirmish. I apologize!
He shrugs and sits on the edge of the battlefield. "Alrighty bud no problem. It'll be fun to watch as well. I'm interested in the woman with the falcon, it's new to see a summons that isn't a Persona."
(He'd turn back to Aincrad.) Persona? What's that?
*Emerson takes some deep breaths as they square up, before he widens his stance and creates some orbs of light between his hands.* Alright, let's get started! *Two orbs turn into small hard light daggers, which he tosses towards the falcon, one in front of it's direct path and another a bit to the right, trying to catch it's dodge.*
*Being a bird, the first thing the falcon does when endangered is dive straight down, dodging beneath the daggers with a screech. It rushes towards Em using the speed from its dive and attempts to scratch at his eyes.* Do be careful not to hurt him too badly. I'm sure you can sense he has no ill will. *Eris clutches her fox amulet and begins to chant* Oh incandescent guardian, hear my pleas once more......
He raises his eyebrow. "You don't know?" He shakes his head. "That's right you're new after all. Think of them as embodiments of our personalities that can fight on our behalf. It's how most people here fight. Some people use evokers, which are like guns, or masks that bring out their Persona to fight for them." He points at Em. "I know he has one so watch and learn."
*A certain Migrant wanders in....* Ah, GYM, the safe exercise of outrageous power.
An avatar comprised of one's will, hmm... (A twinkle comes to his eyes as he smiles wide.) This experiment will truly be something to enjoy! I can't wait!
*Em smashes a card in his hand once he sees the falcon dive, causing Saul to form around him. The Persona, having no eyes, is only mildly affected by the falcon's strike.* Okay, let's get this party goin'! Kougaon! *Saul builds on some light in it's hands, before releasing it in a dense beam towards the falcon.*
Aincrad smirks. "Yeah it's pretty fun. I think you'll love it." He then turns and waves at Mig. "Heya Mig, wanna watch with us?"
*he looks back to Eris* I wish people at the Tower be like you. Inspiring hope to all who are with you.
*The falcon is briefly knocked back by the light, its flying seems somewhat labored, but the creature has no marks on it. It flies a short ways into the air before diving at Saul with determination. Meanwhile Eris continues chanting* Descend upon this earthly realm and bring light to our lord's flock. *The amulet shines brightly before Eris drops it, another great flash of light and in the amulet's place stands a nine-tailed fox with pure white fur. It looks at the fight, and remains a short ways away from Eris.*
*Saul once again takes the hit, and quickly fades. From beneath, Em unsheathes a longsword and slashes at the falcon. He quickly takes note of the new combatant, attempting to keep his focus on both at once.*
[Hazama rifts into the building, on the opposite end of the arena of everyone else and leans against the wall. He watches the fight intently, smiling.] Oooh, scary scary. We seem to get new people here often enough, makes me think that eventually I might get outclassed.
Hey Hazama. How are you?
*The bird attempts to rise but one wing is caught by the sudden slash. It attempts to remain airborne, but soon glides off to the side and collapses.... A brief flash of golden light and the falcon is gone, a small amulet in its place. Meanwhile Eris takes out another amulet, one depicting a kneeling angel, and crouches to pray* The prayers of the people become a light to call forth the righteous. *The fox steps forward a little bit, before igniting a small flame on each end of its nine tails. It growls and launches each flame at Emerson individually, forming a bit of a spiral as they approach him.*
[Hazama perks up at the question, and turns to look at the Sunbreaker.] Oh, me? I'm doing fine, thank you. My my, it has been some time since we've last chatted, hm? How've you been holding up?
Sure, I'll watch. *Heads over to the stands/railing/what have you* Honestly these are the best kinds of fights.
Cabal, new minigun, meeting your employer Relius. You know the usual.
*Emerson puts his right hand to his face, a mask forming on it. He then begins to run towards the flames, ending with him ripping the mask as he plows into them. Samson appears before him shielding him from the flames, although he still takes some damage due to Samson's weak defenses.* You know what they say, fight fire with fire! Blazing Hell! *Em crosses his arms, before outstretching them to his sides. At that moment, Samson roars, sending a sea of flames towards the fox.*
"I know right? It's interesting to see how combatants using two different styles try to counter each other, especially when one seems to mainly be a pacifist. If they keep this up, I'm willing to bet that Em is going to fall first. That's if the priest has an infinite amount of summons." He grins and looks towards the action, noticing a small splash of green but ignoring it and looks at Eris and her summons.
To control so many types of magic at once?! This is truly amazing! And with such skill! (The young man pulls out a leather journal and begins writing notes in it at a mile a minute.)
*A shield seems to form behind the fox, preventing the flames from going beyond it. The fox steps forward through the fire, and all of its tails raise into the air over its head, forming into a point. From this point a bright flash can be seen before a beam of holy energy is fired directly at Samson Eris's amulet begins to glow as she continues her chant* The light of prayer becomes a sword and shield for the righteous.
Hmm, yeah miniguns are pretty cool in all hones- Wait. You met Relius? My my, that's a surprise. I assumed he had died in the boundary. How curious.
*Samson is able to dodge, but only partially. Part of his torso gets hit directly, causing both him and Em to wince a little. Em then places his hand back on his face, causing Samson to return to it's mask.* Well, I'll admit that was... a dumb idea. Anyways, have some of this! *Em waves his hand infront of him, 10 small weapons float before him. He snaps his fingers, and they begin to rush towards the fox at multiple angles, inclusing behind, attempting to converge upon it.*
But still... *he shudders of him remembering entering the lab* A man blinded by ambition. He deserved living in that wretched place.
*The fox is able to form a barrier in front of it, blocking roughly half of the weapons. However, the others strike it in the rear and sides, leaving it in poor shape as it stands defensively near Eris Eris's amulet's glow continues to brighten, becoming bright enough to light up the night as she continues to chant* The blessed sword swings true and strikes down the wicked.
*Em grits his teeth as he hears Eris continuing to chant.* I've got to take this canine down before she gets that off... Alright, let's boost ahead! God's Hand! *Em once again calls on Samson by ripping off his mask, dashing forward alongside his Persona, before the both of them attempt to land a simultaneous punch upon the fox creature.*
[Hazama shrugs, and leans on the railing.] Yes, the colonel is certainly...difficult to understand at points. Regardless, knowing he didn't rot in there is enough proof that scraps of my world still exist, sadly. First Raggy, now him. What a pain.
And the Vanguard are handling about Relius'... family...
*The creature forms a barrier, not around itself, but behind it and around its summoner. Saul's blow sends it flying into the barrier, causing it to crack as the fox lies at its feet. The amulet's glow becomes almost blinding as Eris chants the final line* And so our prayers become Victory. *The light fills up the area and a wooshing sound can be heard. Soon the light fades, leaving an armor-clad woman wielding a broadsword, she gives off a comforting glow to the good of heart, and a cold, vengeful aura to the wicked. Her light shines upon the fox, healing its wounds and allowing it to struggle to its feet once more*
A light to rival Heliod? Gideon would be intrigued to say the least! (The young man continues writing a plethora of notes.)
His family? Oh, that kid. Carl, was it? Last I checked he was about as unhinged as dear old dad.
*Gritting his teeth even harder, Em puts a hand up towards the new opponent.* Alright, I'm gonna try and nip this in the bud. CHARGE!! *Samson roars, causing a yellow aura to begin swirling around him. Em holds his longsword in a defensive position between Samson and Eris' summons.*
Aincrad smirks. "Interesting to say the least. Broadsword... wings... hmm... maybe Nike? Or Bellona?" He shakes his head and leans back, not feeling a thing either way. "Alright let's see what this being can do. It's a nice change of pace."
Crazy? Not since I transported him to the City. Maybe the Traveler's light calmed him down. And I have this giant doll thing following me. *he points to it behind him*
*Eris, overhearing Aincrad's remark, smiles and turns to him* Her name is Lapis, Seraph of Hope. Its quite an interesting story behind her, and of course, the miracles conjured here are nothing compared to her true glory, but that's a story for another time. *The fox stands back, rubbing its head against Eris affectionately. Eris scratches its head and points to Lapis, which causes the fox to step away from Eris and howl. The moonlight shines upon Lapis, and seems to form a cloak around her (rakukaja equivalent)* *Meanwhile, Lapis focuses energy into her blade, causing it to glow a bright white. She points the sword at Sampson, and speaks in an eerily calm voice* Heaven's Judgement. *From the tip of the angel's blade, a beam of almighty energy streaks forth towards the Persona, aiming to strike and pierce its chest*
Hm, reminds me of Nirvana a bit. Interesting. Welp, it's been nice chatting but I really should be going. Tell the colonel I said hello why don't you? Toodles. [Hazama stands up, and strides out of the building with his hands stashed in his pockets.]
Alright then Hazama. *he and the doll teleports out*
"Good to know and wow. Certainly powerful isn't she? You'll have to regal me with her stories. Lapis definitely seems to be your ace in the hole though huh?" He grins and leans towards Eris. "I take it all these beings are... what's the word... pieces of the beings in the stories and all have their own name? What's the fox's name then if they have one?"
*As Samson is unable to move, Em quickly attempts to block the beam with his sword. However, it ends up cutting directly through to sword, although deflected. As the broken half of the blade hits the floor, Samson roars once more as the yellow energy enters his body.* Alright, let's put on the pressure! Gigantomachia! *Samson pounds the ground with his fist, and a wave of pure pressure rolls across the ground, leaving cracks in it's wake as it travels towards Eris and her summons.*
*Eris is absorbed in talking to Aincrad, as she continues to smile* The fox is simply one of many guardian beasts. They don't have specific names themselves. More like descriptions of them and their duties. The fox tends the sacred fires and warns intruders to stay away from sacred places. Of course, it must be able to defend these spots as well. *The fox, however, catches notice of the wave and moves in front of it, forming one last barrier to protect Eris as it is launched against the opposing wall.... Once again dissolving and leaving the amulet behind. Finally, Lapis herself takes to the air, flying over the wave of pressure as she looks down upon the battlefield. Once again, she points her blade at Em's persona, this time swooping down to meet it in combat. She opens by swinging her blade vertically towards the persona's right shoulder*
"Hmm I see what you mean. The fox does seem to reflect this being a mix of fire and holy elements. But then again it is now an amulet so it must be a somewhat weaker guardian then Lapis, but then again I imagine she isn't even the strongest. But it feels weird not having a name for the fox nonetheless. What do you call her when you have multiple spirits out?"
*Em quickly jumps atop Samson's back, and meets Lapis' blade with the remainder of his own. Samson quickly follows up, moving to get Em out of a possible bladelock and attempting to land a punch on Lapis.* Jeez, she can fly too..? What's with everyone these days and having that ability!
*Eris turns to pet the fox, finally seeing its poor condition, she walks over to pick the amulet up off of the wall* I don't need to call them anything. In fact, if I had to speak to command these great beasts it would be difficult for me to pray for further guidance. No, they know what is needed and what to do, and that is enough. *Lapis quickly withdraws her blade, and is only glanced by Samson's fist as she dodges backwards. Meanwhile Eris turns back to Lapis, the tip of her staff glowing* Oh sacred one, bring forth an end to this conflict, let us conclude. *Lapis is once more covered in a white light, as her armor is given a bulkier, golden sheen. Lapis's blade seems heavier and glows with a heavenly light.(think really flashy, permanent Heat Riser) From within the light a silhouette of the angel's golden, brilliant wings can be seen. After the light clears the images of Lapis's wings remain a short ways ahead of her, before flying out towards Emerson* Hope's Wings. (Megidolaon equivalent)
Aincrad looks at Em. "Not everyone bud! I'm still permanently glued to the ground. Though I wish I could." He then turns back to Eris. "Fair enough. And nice touch buffing her armour. You are certainly full of surprises. Sad as it is though I must go. I have some work to do." With that he gets up and waves at everyone. "See y'all." (Night everyone.)
*Em has no choice but to return Samson to it's mask, taking the damage of the attack himself. Now panting, Em crushes the card in his hand, forming Saul around himself again.* Saul, use Marakukaja. *Saul releases a blue light which falls over itself and Em.* Alright, I need a way to turn this around...
*Eris shakes her head upon seeing Em's condition* That's enough Lapis. The lamb has fought hard enough. You may go. *The seraph looks back to Eris, before flying over her and dissipating, leaving her amulet behind. Eris smiles at the amulet and walks over to where the falcon's amulet fell to collect it as well* I trust that was enough exercise for now. You can never be too careful after all.
*Em continues to grit his teeth as he holds his position. Clenching his fists hard, he yells out to Eris.* Call her back!
*Eris shakes her head as she stands back up, dutifully hanging each amulet onto a corner of its headpiece* You're tired. I had hoped you wanted to be prepared to protect something, not fight for your life. I cannot command her to do much of anything. Merely send my wishes and trust they will respond. I don't want to hurt anyone, so I hope you can forgive me.
(The young man gets up with a twirl, putting his journal into his cloak before clapping.) Amazing! Simply amazing! What a splendid experiment to behold!
*Em tenses up further, before finally releasing it and desummoning Saul. He sheathes the remainder of his sword, and begins to exit the arena.* How the hell am I even suppose to protect something if I can't even hold my own against you..! There are things far, far more powerful than the two of us combined. It IS a fight for our lives, unfortunately, and I don't even have the strength to protect myself, let alone someone else...
(Jace would approach Emerson and place a hand on his shoulder, stopping him.) Then perhaps it isn't a battle of brawn that you should be fighting. It appears to me as if there is something shaking your resolve. I can't let someone with your potential be left untapped...for your sake, my sake....and the sake of the Multiverse. (He'd look Em dead in the eyes.) If you wish to test your resolve, I would be more than happy to be your opponent.
*Eris seems saddened by Em's reply and looks through the four amulets attached to her staff* Tell me this, child. Is fighting and despair all you know? Is that really what this new world has become?
*Em sighs, and looks back to Jace.* Maybe another time. Two fights back to back isn't something I tend to be able to take, especially coming from a loss... *He then turns back to Eris, still looking serious.* It's not every moment. Sometimes I run my shop, or hang out with friends, just have good times. But every time you think it'll be all sunshine and rainbows, a thunderstorm strikes and we're back to fighting unspeakable evils once more. And I'm a bit sick of being stuck behind a barrier while everyone else fights to their fullest.
*Eris blinks for a moment and glances at the floor before walking towards the broken door* I knew a world like that. The people's fighting caused nothing but kissers for everyone around..... I wish there was some way for me to stop it. *Eris hesitates for a moment, and steps out into the night*
OOC: I have no idea why "miserry" becomes "kissers" but apparently it does. Ok then.
(Jace grins at Em.) I trust you'll be ready next time. I'll help you get past whatever is blocking your ability to fight to the fullest. (With a wave of his hand, a blue let covers Jace before he disappears in a flash. Seemingly fading out of existence.)
*Em stands alone in the now empty GYM.* Well... *He holds the handle to the sheathed broken sword.* I guess this baby needs a replacement... assuming I ever fight again. *Em finishes fixing the door, before leaving for home.*
*Mig, who had been wandering around bored most of the night, wanders into the empty GYM* Hmm.... usually walking in here is enough to make people show up.... let's see.
Huh.... I thought for sure that would work.... *looks awkwardly at the clock* Maybe if I destroy the door?
Ina
*breaks down the door* Hello~!
You are... not who I expected.
Ina
I know, but I'm bored! I wanted to fight someone!
OOC: *internal inarticulate screaming*
Walks in and whistles. "Why can't this building ever sustain an actual door?" He looks over at Mig and Ina. "Heya you guys, what's up?"
Ina
*inas fox ears wiggle as she plays with a small ball of fire* You seem like a good challenge! Up for a quick round?
Ina
*waves at aincrad* Henlo top hat guy!
(-Currently trying to make Migs head explode-) "Hi person I know not. Who might you be?"
Ina
My name's Ina! Nice to meet ya! *cute smile, tail wiggle*
OOC: Trust me I'm alraedy very well exploded tonight. Try to get any RP after a major plot thread and of course this is all I get.
Ina
Ooc: oh no. In the immortal words of sonic: "THATS NO GOOD".
(Oh damn, alright well I'm up for a little spar then. I'll try not to blow you up any more.) He smiles and pats her head. "Nice to meet ya Ina, I take it this your first time here? First rule is that all doors are public enemy one, and have fun." He looks up at Mig and smirks. "Am I missing anything?" He grins and stretches. "Honestly we mostly hold spar battles here, outside of any other form of fitness."
Ina
*blushes when pet* U-um could you just n-not pet me? *her face returns to normal* Oh, so it's good that I destroyed the door?
Saeko walks into the GYM, looking at the ones inside, her eye visibly twitching. She gazes down at the broken door as she steps over it, towards the group. She speaks, the annoyance in her voice is obvious. "If you would, please, refrain from causing loud property damage, especially so loudly. Some of us rather enjoy the silence of the night, the peaceful atmosphere that comes with it. Have you no respect for others?"
Nope. The night is my most open time, so if you don't like me treating it like the afternoon, well.... *she sticks her tongue out at Saeko*
Ina
But that door is always broken. It was fixed, so I felt it was my duty to break it! *smiles heroically* You're welcome!
Aincrad nods and smiles. "Sure and it isn't necessarily good it's just the norm. And the norm isn't necessarily fun to follow." He then turns to Saeko. "Well I mean yeah I do, and while I didn't destroy it, there's almost never any peace here. Though I wish there was. But then I would be bored to death." He stretches his hands over his head and yawns. "Though if you could show me where I could get this silence of the night, I would love it."
Ina
Oh. Well anyways, I wanna fight someone!
Saeko crosses her arms while addressing Migrant and Ina. "Hmph, so I see. You two kids truly have no respect. This may be your 'afternoon' but for most it is still night. As for you, just because the door always seems to be broken does not give you the right to destroy it when it is not. You are creating more work for those who have to fix it, and those who own the place." Turning to Aincrad, her arms return to her side. "Perhaps peace is boring, but a change of pace rarely is. You can say that it would bore you, but you could say the same if there is never peace here. Eventually you would grow numb to the happenings here, would you not?" She sighs, scratching her head. "What are you kids even doing in a place like this at this time of night?"
Ina
Hey! I ain't no kid! *pouts and crosses her arms*
In a few words. Bored. Out of. My skull.
"Well considering that half the time I end up breaking something like a rib or my jaw and usually have to spend a while to rest up, I might not find it boring. Pain rarely is. Annoying? Yes probably, actually definitely. I quite like not being broken. Besides its batshit crazy here so no worries of the same thing happening over and over." He shrugs and grins. "As for why I'm here, I thought it would be interesting if I did some actual fighting. Without my weapons or Persona to help out. I can't rely on them all the time."
She sighs. "You are bored... so you came here to fight?" She scratches the back of her head. "I will never understand those from other worlds. Training I can understand, but to stave off boredom?"
Ina
Fighting can be fun! *spins a ball of fire on her finger*
I mean it beats hanging out at Shibuya again. Even that gets old after long enough. Besides, everyone seems to have run off on some giant fun mission again leaving me alone.
Ina
*yawn* Great, now I'm sleepy. *leaves with a sad face cuz she never got to fight anyone but she's tired*
"I do not really understand... Fighting and fun..." She sighs, glancing outside the open door of the GYM. "I suppose I should be going as well. Farewell." Saeko walks out into the night with a wave over her shoulder.
OOC: I am so mad right now you would not even.... *Sighs* Well I guess I have to leave as well then.... so much for being less bored....
Kazuya briefly looks into the GYM wondering if any multi-dimensional enigmas would want to have a practice fight. Seeing as no one seems to be in though he simply walks away from the GYM with his same passive gaze. It seems that he simply must keep looking around this strange city.
