Obscure games you enjoy?
One game that nobody I've met knows is Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. The premise, to put it bluntly, is that cat and dog furries live on floating islands. With airships and robots. The story and world are very interesting, and the cast is quite colorful. The combat's also fun because while your robot is a glorified forklift, you can throw enemies, spike them, and even toss them into other enemies! And keep in mind, you do this with stuff like freaking TANKS. But overall, it's an enjoyable game that doesn't get the attention it deserves.
I somehow enjoyed Sonic '06.
Oh, it's obscure games so nvm.
Was Neverdead obscure? Cause I liked that one. Buggy mess that it was...
YOU FOOL, THIS IF THE STUFF I LIVE FOR *DEEP BREATH*
Two little gems from steam. 1. Rimworld: basically what happens if Prison Architect meets Minecraft Villages with Permadeath and some of the funniest stories made yet. 2. Star Wars Empire At War Gold Pack: its Star Wars strategy games at its finest and the expansion is the best part. And those aren't counting the games that are retro and would be considered obscure now
BlazBlue!
Let's see.... Obscure games I enjoyed 1. Aqua Aqua, a childish puzzle game where you terraform an area to form lakes and evaporate them for massive point bonuses 2. The Lost Dimension, turn-based RPG where you lead a squad of psychics up a tower and be wary of traitors 3. Medabots AX, a fighting game of sorts where you mix and match robots for combat.
Medabots even gives you an AI partner that you can modify the actions of, for example, telling them to fight from s range, telling them to protect you, avoid combat, etc.
As I read obscure games, I actually thought of Obscure, a horror game series my sister played. I Thank it's not that. I think mine I don't play much obscure games... Maybe the Ooze or Flicky or Comic zone counts. With my Sega and sonic collections, I think space harrier was the weirdest and it made it to Yakuza zero. So yeah Sega had lots a strange game. Most fun was Alex kidd though. Rock paper scissors with Platforming and well I am playing Ristar at the moment.
I'm with Aincrad when it comes Empire At War. This shit was my childhood, and it still kind of holds up today, and the Consortium is pretty fun. Still going Empire all day & night though. I also enjoyed The Bouncer on PS2, it was clunky and not that good but it was pretty fun, and the branching story gives surprising replayability. Oh, and Lego Rock Raiders. I never got past the Ice stages because I was quite a dumb kid, but I still remember it as being good.
Some say Hibiki is still typing to this day.... Anyway my go-to for obscure is always Skies of Arcadia.
I feel the fossil fighters series is pretty underrated and obscure. To this day, beating the OG fossil fighters is my greatest achievement, that was hard as heck.

My friends say I only play obscure games. Though I don't think Kingdom Hearts or Dynasty Warriors count as obscure games. That being said, I like the Spectrobes series. For some reason
While we're on the topic of Spectrobes, I also liked those f*ckers. Never finished either of the DS games and I didn't ever play the one on the Wii either, but they're fun.
I actually did finish the two DS spectrobes and the Wii one, not sure what happened after that though
The series died. Basically.
@BonafideMonafide04 ...DID SOMEONE SAY F O S S I L F I G H T E R S ? But seriously, Fossil Fighters was one of my favorite games as a kid. Dinosaurs? Turn-based combat? Those two things are what I loved (especially the former, because I was a dinosaur-obsessed kid). But the fossil-cleaning minigame was awesome, and the combat was rather interesting due to stuff like Support Zone bonuses and penalties, FP/energy management, that range mechanic in Champions... The story and characters were certainly not its strong points, but that didn't really matter due to the main point of the game: just have childish fun with dinos. Of course, I have my complaints (I could rant on Frontier for a solid few paragraphs), but I enjoy the series as a whole.
Honestly I actually liked frontier. *waits for hate comments*
There were some parts I liked about Frontier as well, but it's arguably the worst game of the series.
Yeah I'll admit it wasn't my favorite especially because of one boss..... *cringes at memory of final boss* 800 HP IN A FOSSIL FIGHTERS GAME WHO THE HECK DOES THAT
