As bad as the anime has been since 98. And as bad as the S/M games too. I'm just happy they obviously cut the budget.*inhale* Okay, the anime isn't that great at times, but there are some good parts to it. I can't speak for S/M since I haven't played it. I haven't seen much of the S/M anime, but I enjoy the style change. It's more bouncy and lively.
It is literally the worst written anime (even worse than JoJo) I have ever seen. But it has an excuse, it's for babies. Hell, it was on TV when I was a kid, and STILL is. That's fine, but I don't understand why it never seems to end. I can think of so many better uses of an animator's time in bringing something to life than Pokemon. Sun and Moon's obviously downgrade budget is a welcome change for that anime. They're starting to realize they were spending too much money on it. If it has to go on, might as well cut the budget to maybe use elsewhere. As bad as the anime has been since 98. And as bad as the S/M games too. Yep, I sure did. Anyone who has watched or read "Phantom Blood" and can still defend that trash has my pity. And yes, before you go all fanboy, I know it gets 'better', but it's still horrendous. And besides, I can't name anything I truly love that has a 'fucking horrible first quarter'. JoJo is overrated trash. If you have anything more to say to me past that, take it to PM and don't clutter up this topic. It is literally the worst written anime (even worse than JoJo) I have ever seen.Did you just fucking say that JoJo has bad writing? I feel truly blessed. The day has come where I finally find someone else who dislikes the trainwreck that is JoJo. You have my admiration. Anyways, on the topic of the Pokemon anime. It's alright, I suppose. I enjoy the animation change but in the end it's just Pokemon. Something we've seen before in all the other Pokemon anime. They can doll it up as much as they like and maybe even do it slightly better- but until they do something about the repetition it will remain bland and forgettable. It's just the same old stuff we've been seeing for years. I mean come on, Team Rocket is still in like every episode, right? They gotta be. It's always just those three show up, try to get pikachu, fail, then TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAAAAAIN! *ding*I seem to recall a manga adaption of it that would routinely change protagonists, and yet had every story converage into a bigger story arc, with all of them. I didn't think it was that great, but if you had to do a Pokemon adaptation (of a game series that essentially reuses the same plot every time anyway), that's how you would go about it, ideally. The fact we still have the R/B/G inspired protagonist from 20+ years ago, and STILL two baffoons from Team Rocket, which even in the cartoon, disbanded eons ago kind of proves how uninspired it is. It's called the status quo; and in Pokemon it never changes. If it does, it's superficial. Yeah, he changes traveling partners, but each one is just a replacement for the next. There's always another girl and boy; there's no real impact on anything by changing them out. Pure status quo. That's how you'd describe the Pokemon anime.
It is literally the worst written anime (even worse than JoJo) I have ever seen.Yeah no. Either that or you don't watch that much anime.
That's fine, but I don't understand why it never seems to end.
Because it makes money.
Sun and Moon's obviously downgrade budgetis a welcome change for that anime.
