I'm surprised....
For once, the top topic ISNT AN RP!
Well, duh. You're not used to seeing something like Leblanc at the top?
Memesite again when?
Hate to inform you but it's been like that basically all week. I don't actually hate to inform you.

Gin
You can fix that, if you want. Probably only last a few seconds, but you can try.
but for some reason whenever an RP topic is made like, half a dozen pop up at once. Its kinda weird. Perhaps people are simply too nervous to make one, but feel it is fine when someone else started it?
I'm just too lazy to make one. Plus, I'm still planning the plot thing
Hold my beer.
Nevermind, I'm too lazy to make an RP thread.
I'm rather baffling some members see RPing as their only source of entertainment here. Can't say I agree.

It's rather enjoyable, and sometimes it's nice to flex out your writing skills and create stories. It's not our only source of entertainment per se; it's just a major part of the community. Although there's certainly memes as well.
I'd like it more if we were making actual stories than just every post is that member's introduction to every RP thread. I write all the time and I can't really see that producing any real stories, nor do I like the concept that everyone has to join in physically with themselves or an alt, whatever, rather than just making their own character that might fit that particular narrative. I think that's what puts me off most of all.

Yeah, Phansite rp is weird, but it's fun once you get into it. But it's not for everyone, so to each their own.
There are actual stories being written as well, its just that there's a weird thing, related to the origin of RP here, where its (for the most part) set in one universe. The main thing of this is that characters carry over between threads, and as such, they usually post some reason for the character to be in whatever thread. That kinda wastes time at the start, but overall hasn't been an issue. Similarly, many storylines unfold over multiple threads, with each appropriate thread being an "event" of some sort. Then there are some "casual" threads which are basically for character interaction without fighting or whatever, like that Crossroads you probably noticed. However, threads of the more typical kind, like Temper's "Lets be Persona Users" thread pop up as well, only difference is that you typically have to specify that its self-contained otherwise people will get confused.
I'm still confused. And it sounds like it's even harder for new members to get into it, since you need all that backstory.
Mommy?
Backstory isn't usually needed as the main thing that carries over between threads are the characters. Its kinda like going into a pool, where its easier if you jump in rather than trying to slowly get used to it. At least in my experience. I haven't been on PMs in a while, but I'd be glad to go on to answer any questions you may have more easily.
Nah, I'm still not that interested. Maybe once I really get to know everyone (and can gauge them or their writing style), perhaps, but right now it's not for me.

perfectly understandable, its definitely not for everyone. Still, I hope you'll take the time to read some of the threads, and if you ever need anything explained don't hesitate to ask me. Seems like I'm the only one who can be bothered to do it at times.
