Still can't get into competitive battling tho Too much workThose are the only reasons to play the game, I think. Once you get IVs and EVs (especially since S/M made them even easier), you'll get why it's the best part. It's not difficult to get into it anymore.
The thing is I rock at Pokemon so Cyrus and ghettos were easy for me Still can't get into competitive battling tho Too much workThey were rather difficult, but Fairy types are the devil for Ghetsis right now (unless he makes Hydregion have poison and steel type moves). Yeah competitive pokemon is too difficult, but I breed a perfect Cincinno tho.
I mean yeah I've are now The thing is I shiny hunt at the same timeHeckin same, but in Pokemon Platinum, the Poke radar is amazing

Doesn't matter how hard they are, I'm excited to see them back. I really like Cyrus as a character, so I'm excited for his return especially. 4th gen was my favourite generation, Cynthia is my favourite (as well as probably the hardest) champion and Cyrus is my favouritw team leader. Still, Courtney is my favourite admin after Omega Ruby. Shame she's not back. Guess old design Maxie will have to do.Same, I'm excited to see my younger self's enemy again (Ghetsis, Pokemon White was my first Pokemon game ever)
I think it's lame, just like the original Sun and Moon. There's little more boring to me in Pokemon than the Legendaries.You.. do realize that part of it wasn't even the main part of the video, right? They just stuck that there to show that, like ORAS, you'll be able to catch Legends from across the series, whoop-dee-doo. Honestly, the only "exciting" part about that is that Shiny Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde will most likely end up being legitimately available outside events. The main part of the trailer is the returning evil leaders and Rainbow Rocket which is, as I expressed earlier, hopefully post-game content like the Delta Episode and not tying into the main story. Heck, the title and thumbnail didn't even show anything about the returning Legendaries, they were just slapped onto the trailer.
Pokemon should add a difficulty option, like Fire Emblem. If you play competitively, the storyline is way too easy. The only parts of it that ever get hard are post-game, but only due to hax and not skill. That's why Black 2 has Challenge Mode. Things can go up to either level 110 or 120, can't remember.

Fanservice and more yawnfest Legendaries. Boy, really making me want to play it now... [/sarcasm] I really want nothing to do with this Pokemon generation, same way I skipped Gen V. Maybe when it gets to the Switch, it'll be worth playing again.

All jokes aside, yeah Sun and Moon were way to easy, and this is from someone who doesn't play competitively. Gen 4 was a nice challenge, especially during the endgame with Cyrus and Cynthia. Kind of hope thy bring that back in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. That being said, they somehow made Sun and Moon easier than X and Y, so I doubt a hard pokemon game will be coming anytime soon. Oh well. Theres always the fan games.
Yeah, and that just goes to show you how little I cared about the rest of it. Fanservice and more yawnfest Legendaries. Boy, really making me want to play it now... [/sarcasm]Hey, I've got no issue with that, I was just curious why you didn't even bring it up, considering that was the only thing we had talked about so far (No legendary talk probably since the Legendary thing is actually old news). Why DO you dislike Sun and Moon anyways? It's not that different from other Pokemon games structurally, so unless you just dislike all Pokemon games (In that case why the hell are you even in this thread), I feel like it's just a weird single out.
>And to add the cherry to my cup of disappointment ice cream, despite being on the exact same system, now suddenly had to pay a yearly fee just to bring over past Pokemon. >suddenly had to pay a yearly fee just to bring over past Pokemon. >suddenly had to pay a yearly fee I guess gen. 6 didn't existEveryone says this. Yes, the Pokemon Bank has existed for awhile, but it was optional. I could transfer between games myself using the GTS and or just having someone online trade with me. Now you HAVE TO use the Pokemon Bank to bring in past generations, despite it all being the same system. This was obviously intentional to rake in $$$$. And I want no part in it. Edit: He asked why I disliked it. There you go. It doesn't matter if it's a kid's game; it's still shady business practices.
But... but that's how the system works. Think about it this way. If I want to transfer photos from my phone to my computer, I have to get a cord or something to get the photos there in a timely fashion. Therefore, by your logic, the fact that I have to buy a cord to transfer stuff between two different systems makes this a shady business practice.Every PC has a USB input and every phone also shares a compatible USB cable in its charger (that comes with it). They can communicate rather easily. Imagine the PC is your Pokemon game and the phone is your console. Until now, they can communicate no problem, but now a 'new' PC comes out and they exclude the USB port because now to transfer with your phone, you gotta pay to use their online data drop service. So, why remove what's worked until now? Because they want you to go through them; they have forced you to use them as a middle man. That's the proper analogy of how I see it.
"Repent for the end is nigh! Pokemon Bank marks the doom of our race! The only way to survive is to never purchase any Pokemon things ever again! Lest thee be cast into the Poke flames with the rest!"-Togo System.Who's taking it too seriously now? Honestly, Pokemon has become quite boring to me now in general, especially since I've begun branching out to other games. As stated, it's a kid's game and literally the only reason anyone over 10 even buys them is for the competitive side, myself included. Apart from that, it's the same game it's always been, 20+ years ago. It probably would've happened before now, but the new model just accelerated it quicker. I couldn't care less if I ever played Pokemon again, to be honest. But just stating how greedy I think GameFreak has become.
Fair point. Although... a yearly cost of 5 dollars? Even a high schooler like me can afford that. That's only a fraction of what I spend on games in a year. Tatsu said it best tbhIt's not the price; it's the principle. And mostly, I don't care enough either.
R.I.P. thread, amiright? The only thread that hasn't died from Togo intoxication is the Last Post War tbh
Personally, I enjoyed the tropical feel of Gen 7. They still managed to put different themes of areas in the game as well, so the main theme of the islands didn't really get old to me as quickly as it might have for other people. The controls I found were alright. It didn't put me off the game, at the very least, which is a positive in my eyes. Controls aren't that important to me, as long as they synergize well with the gameplay, which it did to me. As for the business practises of Game Freak, your acting like you HAVE to pay an annual fee, which you don't. It's easy enough to play the game from the ground up without relying on any pokemon from X and Y. As for the game itself, I thought it was a good game, but it took a while to get going properly. Like Fire Emblem Echoes, you should give it a chance for more than an hour.Yeah, I don't know; just something about it was not enjoyable to me. And for Echoes; same thing. Both games I honestly gave a fair shot, and for FE, I played for over an hour, trying to get into it and I just could not. Just a fact of life, I suppose, that there are some games that simply don't resonate with you.
Sodium, atomic number 11, was first isolated by Humphry Davy in 1807. A chemical component of salt, he named it Na in honor of the saltiest region on earth, North America. Anyway, back on topic, I hope we get Shaymin around. Love the lil guy.Okay, same, I'm trying to Glitch Pokemon Pearl to get one with out the event.
I actually have no idea how I'm still in love with Pokemon tbh. The fandom suck, same format for everything, and etc. But for some reason, I love it. Is it the story? Characters? Difficulty? Graphics? No one knows, but I'm addicted. Those games have their own charm that isn't ever equalled. The only reason I haven't bought Sun is because Echoes distracted me.

Graphics? No one knows, but I'm addicted. It has an adventurous feel to it. The start of a journey. While I only played it for online battles, I still never rushed through the story and took my time with it. I never care what's happening in said story, but it's just fun to explore and go on a journey inside the region, at least. Like that long vacation you want to remember, where you went and saw everything.
it's the same game it's always been, 20+ years ago.Oh hey. A Gen Wunner argument. Again, jokes aside, I play a game once to get a good feel for it. If I initially don't like it, I keep playing. Sometimes, the game picks up and sometimes it doesn't. Another fact of life is that you shouldn't just give up on something part way through. Then again, I can't judge you without being a hypocrite. I did the exact same thing to "Time and Eternity" a month ago. And, I really want Uxie. My favourite pixie right there.
And, I really want Uxie. My favourite pixie right there. Most likely, they are a legendary after all.

I did the exact same thing to "Time and Eternity" a month ago. And, I really want Uxie. My favourite pixie right there. There was no hope for me to like S/M, but with FE, I bought Echoes the moment I saw a new one was out, unaware it was even a remake of an older game. I was a little worried, but thought "Oh, it must be updated like Fates, just with the old story" (in the vein of Pokemon, this is how their remakes have usually been). But after starting with Awakening and then finally mastering Fates, to see that almost nothing from these later games was included, and it was essentially only a graphical enhance, it stopped being the FE I wanted to play. IE, no pairing up, support, etc. By the time I got to my first town and the fact it was very awkward first person controls, that's when I knew "No, I can't play this." Nothing about the story was drawing me in to it as well, so I quit. That's kinda the downside with starting with the newer games first; if you've never seen the old ones, they're hugely difficult to get into. I've seen clips of every old FE game on past consoles and none of them look appealing to me at all. If I started with Generation 6 of Pokemon, I never, ever could've played 1-4.
Echoes is genuinely good though. It actually incorporates supports, for one, instead of that shitpile Shadow Dragon. Inb4 all remakes of old FE games get called "Fire Emblem Echoes: [Insert subtitle about the game]".If I had only played Awakening and not Fates, perhaps I could've gotten more into it, but alas.
