Yomi-no-Kuni: Land of Fear Part 3
OOC: Starting from the thread onward joining will be limited. If you want to join then please ask in thread as I want this to be the last part with shadow fights and too many people would cause this too go on far too long. Anyway, time to continue...
IC: The ship continues to sail through the dark sea. The other part of the city can be seen off in the distant, along with a dark spire putruding out of the ground off in the distance. The seas themself are dark and lack any signs of life.
Until this point the entity known as Rage had been shouting occasionally from time to time from the drivers seat but he's become oddly silent.
The boat is starting to aproach the island.
Gamma spent most of the trip simply looking at the waters and reflecting. He was polite of course, whenever anyone talked to him, but made no efforts himself. Soon, he catches sight of the shore and sighs, looking to Rage
I take it that's our stop? Almost to the last spot I hope
It appears that PK was left on the Island back where they started! Nobody remembered the Pancake Knight!
PK then awakes in the boat, it appears that he had fallen asleep and shakes himself awake as they approach the island
Okay! Im ready to go! Where to next?
Man, this boat is way too slow....
*she's been staring at the sea this whole time*
Well at least this place isn't an oven. Say, what happened to Rage up there?
Kalib is roused from sleep from sleep as the shouting ends.
He lets out a yawn before standing up.
"Hmm? What's going on?"
He glances out to the sea and notices the island.
"Showtime already?"
Senri sits contently in the boat, looking out into the seeming nothingness. It was fascinating. Despite all the pain that went into this worlds creation, she appreciated the dark astetics. She looks out at the island, wondering what comes next...
How much longer must we travel until we meet the man of the hour himself, I wonder.

As Gamma looks towards the driver seat nobody is there. Nobody is driving the boat yet it still seems to be moving forward.
The boat suddenly picks up speed as it approaches the other island. The island is only a moderate distance away now.
Gamma walks up to the driver's seat where Rage used to be and glances out at the shore before turning to those behind him
Alright, looks like in moments we'll be at the next little part. Land of who cares what. *yawn*
So, if anyone has any questions they'd like to ask or whatnot, now's probably the best time.
*Stares out at the island*
Why do I feel like we're not supposed to leave this island?
PK then jumps up and stands on his seat, trying to get a better view on the island as he jumps up and down, possibly causing the boat to rock as he jumps
Oooh! Oooh! I wanna see it!
Kalib glances at the seat and then back to Gamma.
"Question. You gonna sit there? We seem to be going a lot faster now, I'd rather not crash is all. I don't trust auto pilot."
The boat continues increasing in speed as the party draws closer and closer to the island. It shows no clear signs of stopping as it approaches the island faster and faster.
The once still water seems to grow violent as well. The boat tilts back and fourth wildly as it continues to accelerate. At times it even ends up in the air as the motor continues to roar violently.
*Suddenly grabs tight to her seat!*
I think we've been betrayed here! You gonna slow this thing down? Anyone!?
Woah! Woah!
PK then faceplants onto the boat floor as the boat speeds up, tripping on his own feet as he flips in the air, hitting the ground with his face
Gah!
Gamma promptly sits down in order to remain on the boat, before looking back to address his companions
Ok, first, new kid. Its a magical location. Don't expect anything to make any sense. That's not what its for.
Second, Kalib. Its a magical boat. Don't expect its controls to make sense. Also I don't know how to drive a normal boat. So we're definitely gonna crash.
After flying into the air one more time, a thin layer of ice begins to coat Gamma's legs in an attempt to keep him frozen to the seat
I would suggest holding onto something. Preferably not me.
Senri nearly tips over her seating, but holds firmly onto the side of the boat.
I can't swim, so this thing better not flip...
Kalib shakily makes his way to the captain's seat and sits down.
"It can't be too hard...I think I remember how to drive a boat."
He begins looking over the controls in an attempt to find the throttle.
"Come on....come on...!"
The boat surprisingly has a pretty standard control layout. On the left most upper corner is a GPS that appears to be broken with the only words displayed as "Hell". There's a wheel for steering in the center of the control panel. To the left of the wheel is a clutches and above the wheel are gauges and a depth finder. There's also a radio below the wheel but it only seems to display static on its current setting. Finally, to the right of the wheel is the throttle set to the max speed for some reason.
The boat continues gaining momentum as it draws close to the land. There's only a short distant left before impact!
Senri draws her katana, ready for anything as she braces for impact. She was smirking, enjoying this in some weird way.
Here it comes...
Kalib throws the throttle all the way into reverse before looking for any sign of a drop anchor button.
"Destination: Hell, huh? Cute. Too bad it ain't happening."
He prepares to crank the wheel to the left if it doesn't slow down fast enough.
"HANG ON TIGHT!"
*Looks less likely to hold on tight and more likely to dive off the boat if it doesn't slow down soon!*
With more and more speed PK gets blown into the air and gets planted onto a wall, being stuck there as the boats get faster and faster
Oh boy! This is just like one of those cartoons!
Gamma meanwhile, is calmly looking back while sitting beside Kalib, beginning to frost the seat.
He looks at Senri
Why do you have your sword out? Its just a crash. No need to defend your honor or anything. Just sit back and hope for the best. Its magic, it'll be fine.
Kalib sets the throttle fully to reverse as he tries to turn the wheel but it doesn't seem to budge. On closer inspection the wheel seems to be stuck in place by a strange hardened black substance. Just as the boat begins slowing down it starts to speed up again. The throttle in now at full speed once more as a small black humanoid figure with large eyes sits on top of the throttle laying back on it into full speed. The boat is now about 10 feet from the shore.
10 feet. Might as well go for it!
Senri sprang up and ran to the head of the boat, jumping up and using Kalibs shoulder as leverage to jump to shore and avoiding the potential crash impact.
Kotori wakes, her sea sickness making her woozy
Ugh..... a few more.... urp!
PK then slowly inches towards the door, pulling himself over as he flies towards the controls, slamming on buttons and trying to grab onto something as he takes ahold of the throttle in attempt to stay standing
Good thing someone left this stick here!
Kalib's mind is firing on all cylinders as he gets used as a stepping stone. He looks down at the creature before a horn appears in his hand with a flash of blue flame.
"HERO'S RALLY!"
He blows into the horn and a prismatic light covers him and his allies, boosting their abilities.
"GET OFF NOW!"
*Instead of diving toward land, Haruko dives into the water!*
Good thing we're in my element at least! Good luck not crashing!
*She starts swimming to shore. Hey, 10 feet isn't that far.*
Huh? Wha- OH SHIT!
Kotori suddenly realizes the situation and infuses herself with wind, easily leaping to the shore
Gamma looks forward onto the beach, catching sight of the road
Alright, lets go for it. Shiranui, Eigaon.
Gamma leaps with the boat the next time it hops into the air, meanwhile three tendrils of darkness whip out of his sleeve towards the nearby shore, a little off to the side to remain out of the boat's way as Gamma swings himself in
The boat rushes towards the land at a blinding speed!
5 feet...
There's no sign of it stopping as it moves faster and faster!
3 feet...
Almost there! Almost!
1 foot...
Suddenly, the boat stops all at once as it reaches the beach. It goes dead still losing all momentum it had before instantly. The small shadow on the control panels seems to smirk before yawning and falling asleep.
???: Looks like you're all here. I was getting worried you wouldn't show up. I don't know what I'd have done if that was the case.
A figure whom you swore wasn't there before sits on the beach in front of the boat. He appears to also look a lot like Chaos but with blonde hair and vibrant orange eyes. He seems to be smiling nervously as it he sits and stares at the boat almost as if he's avoiding eye contact.
Upon stopping violently PK gets flung into the air, screaming as he hits the beach and his head gets stuck into the ground like an ostrich, trying to pull it out but to no effect
Gak! Help! I'm stuck in the ground!
Kotori is barfing in the sea
*Swims out of the sea, staring at the boat*
Why am I no longer surprised? This is like some weird dreamscape at this point.
So, I take it you're our next guide?
Senri seemed... Almost disappointed. The boat didn't even explode. She enjoyed that regardless, though.
She put her katana away and approached the boat once again, looking at the Chaos lookalike.
So you're another part of Chaos? Which part, I wonder? I'm sure you know who I am... "Comrade".
Gamma rolls onto the beach with a sigh. Figures he shouldn't have listened
Oh, hello new part of Chaos... Nice to meet you. Now then, care to lead the way? Sounds like you have some idea why we're here.
Come to think of it, why do you think we're here?
Gamma works his way to his feet before making a show of shrugging, both arms out to his sides
Just curious is all
Kalib hops from the boat dizzily. Once again he put others before himself, thankfully it didn't hurt him this time. He lands and takes a knee.
"You could at least sound a bit more concerned, erm...what's your name?"
Kalib dusts himself off as he stands and then proceeds to walk over to this new aspect of Chaos.
The new aspect gets up and begins nervously backing away from the group looking a bit intimidated by the groups sudden questions. He looks around for a moment before he starts to sweat with anxious eyes.
???: Uh...I...uh...do we really have to get to the guide part so fast...uhm...I...your questions...I don't quite know...
....
Wow. So after depression and anger we have.... shyness? Really?
Kalib smiles warmly at the figure.
"Hey hey. No need to worry about that stuff. That's our bad for overwhelming you! Sorry!"
Senri is surprised by this ones nervous disposition. She felt like a bully.
Um... Sorry... All of your other selves were a lot more aggressive, so I was expecting a confrontation.
Gamma looks between the figure and Haruko
It’s not quite shy. He’s more nervous... Anxious... Wait... No...
Gamma gets much closer than he should and looks the figure in the eyes before quickly stepping back
Are you scared of us? No need to be ashamed if that’s the case. It... Well, new people are scary. Especially if you’ve been alone for a while.
Hnnng! Arrrg!
PK pushes up and up against the ground as he eventually pops out of the sand, walking over to the figure and yelling out
Hello everybody! Who is this! It's great to meet you! I am Pancake_Knight! Vanquisher of Evil! Protector of Good! How can I be of service to you!
The figure backs away from Gamma surprised.
???: "I...please...I'm sorry. I just don't want to be alone anymore. This place..."
The figure begins having a hard time breathing as he begins shaking slightly.
???: "I've...I've already freaked you all out I bet. You all probably think I'm some kind of freak. You'll leave me here all alone just like everyone else..."

Kalib beams at the figure.
"Please. People tolerate me for some reason, so nobody is going to leave you for being frightened."
Kalib holds out a hand, keeping a fair distance away.
"I know I won't. I don't want to leave anyone alone."
Gamma takes the opportunity to step a little closer to the figure and tried to grab their arm
We’re here now. That’s what matters. You’re going to be fine. Just take a deep breath, and calm down. No one’s going to hurt you. And we’re here to help everyone. At least, I am

No, we're not gonna leave you alone.
Honestly we're going to "save you." Since it seems none of the... you's really wanted any of this to happen.
PK nods and shouts out
That's right! We are going to change Chaos once and for all! Even if it looks grim we'll push forward to the end! That's what it means to be a hero after all!
As Gamma grabs the figure's wrist the palm of their hand begins glowing brightly with an orange energy.
???: Please...I don't want any of you to be hurt...if you continue onward you'll grow to hate me. Everyone already does. I don't want anymore people to hate me because I caused them pain...The sins are too much to bare...The sins I've committed toward all of you...
Kalib shakes his head.
"I know for a fact that I'll never be able to forgive you...but I can't hate you. Or rather, I won't hate you. So I will push forward and do whatever I can."
He once again smiles at the man, stepping forward.
"Plus, getting hurt comes with the job description. Friends don't let each other suffer alone."

We've already seen the sins you've done, don't worry. And clearly none of us here hate you for it.
You're just worrying for nothing.
If you say those sins are too hard to carry, then you should let us help! Better to spread the weight right! We don't want to see you get hurt either! Come on!
PK then smiles brightly at the figure, waving for then to move

Gamma’s Persona weaves it’s way through the air around the two, performing one quick loop before vanishing again

Senri shook her head.
My case, I do not harbor a grudge. I wish to take your heart, if possible. I believe you are not beyond salvation, in spite of things as are.
The figure pulls from Gamma's grip before backing up to the cliff that separates the beach from the road. He seems to let out a breath while trying to calm himself. He stands up straight before looking forward with a indifferent gaze.
???: Here goes...I hope I'm doing this right...Step forward one who wishes to seek out the cause of my fear. Those who wish to see the terrible acts I've committed against you...The reason for my eternal isolation.
The figure holds out their hand as it glows with a orange energy. Only one may step forward.
PK then draws his blade as he crouches down, looking out for the incoming battle
Don't worry about it! Just give it all you got! We will do the same! I'm ready for the next one!
*Sighs*
Oh is that what you want? To test us again? Well, I won't say no to getting my power back.
*She steps on forward*
Though honestly after this long you'd think you guys would know we're not gonna run away.
???: Y-your not the one I'm worried will run away...
The figure takes Haruko's hand as his eyes begin glowing with an orange light.
OOC: Time to write some more depressing deaths.
Kotori finishes getting sick and walks back to the others
W-whaddid I miss?
Zero, who has been recovering from a shadow attack a few moments ago, finished recovering and arrived where everyone else is.
"What did I miss?"
Tatsuya steps in from the shadows, for some reason the man's blade is drawn and he looks a bit winded. Scratches cover his clothing. And he glances around the area with a curious look on his face.
"Ya know... I was kinda hoping you guys might have gotten something done without me around, but here we are. Anyways good news and bad! The bad news is I have no idea what this shadow will be. The good news is at least we won't attacked from behind by any shadows now!"
And with that he'd eye the meeting of figure and Haruko, the girl uses water so... He simply observes for now, not entirely sure how to approach given how little info there is.
Kalib takes a knee and looks over his wounds from the previous fight. Nothing drastic, but he's suffered quite an array of bruises. Potentially internal damage but this wasn't the time to worry about that. He turns his attention to Haruko.
"Hang in there. Both of you."
An orange light explodes from the figure's eyes before filling Haruko's mind.
A vision begins to fade in within their head. It shows a battle between two familiar faces. Chaos stands surrounded by a deep shadowy force. The shadowy force swirls around him with vigor and hatred alike. Tatsuya stands away from him sword drawn as his red coat floats in the breeze. Tatsuya is covered in scratches as he faces Chaos with dead eyes.
Tatsuya rushes in as he slashes wildly at Chaos. Chaos blocks all his strike with ease as Tatsuya is beyond caring anymore and already worn out. Finally Chaos slashes with a decisive strike as Tatsuya's blade goes flying into a cliff side. The scene...it's the same as the beach they're all standing on back in reality.
Chaos: "You know, I'm genuinely disappointed. Did the death of your friend really make you that desperate? You should know that his death was meant for you..."
Chaos rushes in and aims for Tatsuya's throat with a final strike. Tatsuya prepares to counter when suddenly a chakram comes flying at Chaos. He turns and jumps out of the way. Haruko stands as the chakram comes flying back to hand. She stands next to Tatsuya and faces Chaos as well.
Suddenly Chaos' eyes gleam with a yellow light as he approaches the two faster than before. With a swift strike he swings at both of them with a cut to the neck. Tatsuya shouts to the girl as he dodges back but the girl is too slow.
She back up enough for her throat to get cut open. Blood begins pouring from the wound. She falls to the ground chocking on her own blood. A look of rage overtakes Chaos as he walks up to the girl.
Chaos: "This is why maggots shouldn't even crawl out of the ground. Their bound to get crushed...Now I'll end your suffering..."
Chaos slashes once more as Tatsuya looks on, anger filling his eyes. Tatsuya knew that the girl would have only suffered more if left alone but still he felt a bitter hatred for Chaos. Grabbing his sword Tatsuya rushes towards Chaos once more but before he can reach them they already have begun falling into the ground. All Tatsuya is left with is the corpse of the girl who he didn't even know the name of.
The image fades to static before Chaos stands over the corpse. The sky is noticeably darker and he looks down at her with a blank expression. He walks away as the transformation begins. A doll like woman with black hair appears over Haruko as she seems to melt into a vicious black fluid.
The fluid begins being absorbed into the doll as it begins shifting and changing. It increases in size and strange growths form on its arms. A gurgling shout can be heard as the image fades away and Haruko snaps back to reality.
The waves of the ocean begin growing larger.
*Haruko snaps back with a gasp! Her hand drifting up to feel at her neck for a moment.*
That's right... just a vision... of a different me. I, um.... I see what you mean by fear. You were like some totally different person there....
*She hears a wave roll ashore and turns to look at the ocean*
Um.... is it just me or are those getting... bigger?
You've outdone us all again, Tatsuya.
Senri chuckles as she then looks at Haruko with concern. She could only imagine what she saw. Her attitude aside, Senri hoped she would be okay.
She looks to the sudden rush of the waves in alarm, drawing her katana.
I know this pattern by now... Something is coming again...
Kalib turns to the sea as blue flames begin forming in his hands.
"Come Hell or high water...everyone loves an underdog story!"
The flames in his hands erupt in a flash. They begin to harden as they wrap up Kalib's forearm. As the light fades he is left with two blue steel gauntlets adorned with obsidian inlays.
PK then looks around, keeping his blade ready as he sparks every once in a while, hyped for the next fight
Where is it! Come out foul beast! The Pancake Knight shall vanquish you!
PK then notices the waves getting larger and larger, backing up as he prepares his crossbow
The waves grow larger and larger as they reach the parties knees. Suddenly a wave bigger then the rest slams into the beach and sends a torrent of water up to everyone's wastes.
Gurgling can be heard from all around as the water slowly begins turning red.
Ahh, is it red tide already? How fitting. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Senri remained still for the time being, not yet phased by the water that reached her waist. Though it would be troubling if it got any higher...
*Haruko gets in a fighting stance*
Whatever it is.... I think it wants to fight in its own element. Almost miss the fire already.
PK looks around the sea as he gets a little panicked, forgetting if he knows how to swim as he strings an firey tipped arrow onto his crossbow, scanning for targets
Hopefully I remember how to swim!
"Ho boy we're really getting soaked here eh? Well, I can't do shit to get rid of this from our current position so come out Hyperion!"
With that the giant bursts forth, and waves its hands as a platform made of hardlight appears about 5 feet above the water. Being big enough for all of them to stand on with room to move. Tatsu would then quickly leap onto the platform and begin scanning the water below.
"I'd suggest moving up quickly, best not to stay in places I'm planning to try and turn into a boiling pot after all."
Oh.... oh no.....Bad water.....
Kotori freezes her blade and jumps high into the air, Swinging her blade below her and unleashing the ice, making a frozen platform for her to land on.... before actually landing on the hard light platform

Kalib looks to his comrades, wincing at the water.
"Grotesque to be sure...yeesh..."
He gets into a ready stance as he looks to the sea for the foe.
Suddenly the water seems to swirl around before completely flooding the area. It starts raising high into the air and submerging everyone into it. Oddly enough though, the water seems to have a strange property of being breathable like air but there's a slight iron taste to it. Gurgling can be heard from nearby as something can be felt moving around the group quickly.
Being in water everyone's movements are slowed and their physical attacks are weakened. Not to mention that fire will be much harder to use while other elements might be boosted.
Upon learning she's not drowning, Kotori IMMEDIATELY infuses her blade with lightning, sending electricity throughout the entire area
*Tries to hold her breath as long as she can! Before seeing Kotori not drown, when she proceeds to take a big old deep breath... of water. Hey, this is new and different.*
*Then comes the something moving, Haruko spinning about awkwardly as she tries to pinpoint where the.... well, her monster is.*
PK starts to gasp for air as he's gets submerged, looking around wildly before heturning realises he's not drowning! Seeing Kotori use electricity PK does the same, crouching down onto the floor and generating electricity by shuffling on the floor
Here we go! Careful everyone! Don't get shocked!
Kalib is prepared to surface but realizes that he can breathe. Though the iron is somewhat unsettling. Kalib summons the horn once more as he scans the area. However,
he has to put up his guard as his allies unleash electricity.
"Careful now! We don't have anywhere to really go!"
Tatsuya upon seeing the dumbfucks toss out electric attacks in the water instantly switches gears, Odin bursting forth and holding his spear out towards... Well, for now, he simply watches and stands ready. As the Persona stands ready, Tatsu himself shouts at Kotori and PK... Before dropping into a fighting stance as well.
"STOP USING ELEC ATTACKS PLEASE! WATER CONDUCTS IT PRETTY WELL AND NOT EVERYONE CAN EASILY PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM IT!"
The electricity lights up the water in a brilliant flash of pulsing light that would definitely not be safe for a kid's TV show. The energy fills every inch of the water as it's super conducted and shocks everyone with a serious amount of damage.
Even the shadow itself seems to scream in pain as the gurgling grows louder. In a fit of rage suddenly something swims at a high speed past Kotori and slashes directly at her before swimming back into the shadows of the sea.

*Convulses a bit from the shock, before trying to swim after the dashing monster. Water likely wouldn't do too much good underwater, but maybe she can catch up and hit the monster? Hah, yeah right.*

As she's hit, Kotori undoes her enchantment and floats in the direction she was hit
The sudden wave of electricity forces Kalib to let out a sharp gasp in pain. However he grins as he looks towards the darkness of the ocean.
"So that's your game huh? Well as angler, I must ask..."
A blue card forms before Kalib's eyes and crushes it with his right hand. A beautiful eruption of light is the cue for Roland's appearance. He stands stoically behind Kalib.
"...mind if I reel you in?"
Kalib focuses on the sounds in the water trying to guide his aim.
"We're going to cast our net wide, Roland! MAEAGION!"
Tendrils of darkness shoot out from Roland's hands. The strands weaving and splitting repeatedly until many thick tendrils reach into the abyss. Hopefully it connects.
PK hears Tats and gives him a thumbs up preparing to turn on his laser blade when he realizes that he can't use it
Got it Tatsuya! Still! That limits my options! Lets see here! Um...! I've never tried this before but here you go! Heat Riser!
PK then closes his hands together as light gathers within in a sphere, swirling with colors as he throws it towards Haruko to help her out a bit, it's definitely not going to last as long as if Waffles did it, but it's the thought that counts
Tatsuya simply shrugs as the shock hits him, it's a shame this water works like that. But at least Odin protected him... Regardless the Persona can't stay, given the fact that his attacks would just harm the others. Instead, Sarasvati takes the place of Odin. Casually raising her hand up as spikes jut out from the seafloor towards... The general area their foe went towards, the jagged rocks covering about a 20-foot circle in that direction. Of course, if he's wrong about its location this is just a waste.
The sound of gurgling seems to spiral around the group almost as if it's coming from all directions. Uninterested in any of the groups attempts to hit it the sea monster rushes toward Haruko who had been trying to follow it at high speeds to try and latch onto her and drag her into the black abyss beyond the parties view.
The dark net remains and may be able to catch it yet and the rocks seemed to scare it away from the area where Tatsuya threw them.
*Is abruptly grabbed and swims as hard as she can against the monster's pull! Even trying to water jet away from it!*
Hey, guys! A little help!? I think I can slow it down a bit but not for long!
After flailing around a bit, Kotori manages to stabilize herself in the water, remembering she's still enchanted with wind, she uses it to fire herself after the monster, holding her blade in front of herself to cut through the water in front of herself, hoping to jet her blade directly into the shadow like a human torpedo
Wind: 1
Tatsuya looks over to Kalib's net and nods to himself, dramatics put aside? The idea is in fact sound, and scaring it isn't quite what he's aiming for at the moment. Instead, Lucifer rushes forth and darkness bursts out of the Persona's claws.
"Fishing is usually a one-man job, but I believe a catch this big might take some extra help. don't ya think pal?"
With that Tatsuya would grin at Kalib, black tendrils spiraling from his Persona, unlike Roland, however, his seem to be more offensively minded. Blades forming upon the ends as it lashes out at the beast, aiming so that the best escape routes would be... Kalib's net, or the remaining spikes of rock. Either option is workable assuming it goes for one.
PK seeing one of his friends in danget he gets a spark of brilliance, yelling out to Haruko
Don't worry! The great Pancake Knight shall help you! Here w go!
PK then prepares to jump from the ground as he rockets upwards, jumping into the air as he pulls out an ice crystal out of his laser blade, cracking it in half as he sticks it into his shoes, making a pair of ice skates as he glides over the top of the water, creating a small pathway of ice whenever he steps, quickly evaporating however as he tries to chase down the beast
Alright! Here goes! PANCAKE KICK!
PK then jumps into the air off the ice as he spins in the air, making himself a drill as he tries to drill into the beast, even if he misses the ice on shoes grow inert and powerless
Kalib nods at the offer for assistance.
"Let's do it! I haven't had this much difficulty with a catch in some time. I'll follow your lead partner!"
Watching the assault fade into the darkness, Kalib prepares the signal for Roland. Three. Two. Not just yet....and ONE!
"BRING IT IN ROLAND! THEN WE'LL TAKE IT IN CLOSE QUARTERS!"
The paladin crosses his arms and closes his fists. The tendrils tying themselves up before he pulled back uis arms with a jerk, yanking the net back to the group.

Senri clicked her tongue, electricity still running through her body. She couldn't help but be annoyed. The nature of this enemy left her own sneak attacks completely off the menu... Unless, she had the terrain adca again.
Senri sucked in the pain and nodded her head.
Mania... Let's reclaim!
Senri, for the first time since getting her back, summons Mania, who then casts a Bufuladyne... Not at the enemy she cannot see, but on the water next to her, creating an icy platform that she then boards.

Anyway for the people who are in this I suppose we should resume where we last left off. As for you Gamma I could imagine that maybe Gamma wakes up submerged in the water near the others. That's the best I could come up with tbh. This is a bit of a different fight this time around.
The large aquatic monster continues dragging Haruko along, however, PK's drill hits the creature hard as it moves away. Its jaw opens as it releases Haruko to let her get away.
Tatsuya's blades draw near it as it moves away in an attempt to escape the blades. It swims directly into Kalib's net as it doesn't bother paying attention to its route of escape.
Since the net is in the darker part of the sea the face of the creature can't be directly seen but a furious gurgling can be heard as it tries to break free. The net slowly approaches the group to bring the trapped creature into the light.
The creature seems to be some twisted and decaying doll like construct. A large jaw in the place where its neck should be and with two soulless eyes. It have multiple arms that seem to have fused together to create the "fins".
The jaw opens and a gurgling can be heard growing louder and louder as the flow of the water seems to drive around it in a fierce cycle. A vortex begins to form in the water before a whirlpool begins dragging everyone around.
OOC: I checked back on it, the water is breathable, so this should work out fine

Gamma looks around at the water, he starts to panic a little, breathing heavily and.... Wait, breathing? Gamma breathes a sigh of relief, and attempts to stand his ground against the whirlpool

In spite of his best efforts, he begins to get caught up in the current, so Gamma takes a deep breath and does the obvious

Gamma holds up one arm against the current and brings forth his persona

Around the point Gamma is finally swept off his feet by the vortex, his persona roars, causing the formation of a massive block of ice, he holds it for a moment, focusing his energy on trying to freeze the nearby water into a block nearly as large as he is, before tossing the ice further into the whirlpool, towards the jaw

*Haruko quickly tries swimming away from the monster, when she's suddenly picked up by the spinning whirlpool!*
What the hellllll!?
*She tries her best to navigate around the spinning to fire off a jet of water into the center. Or at least fire it in the opposite direction of rotation, to maybe slow it down even a fraction.*
"Hey, it worked! Wait a second, you can't reel me in! That's not how this is supposed to go!"
Kalib begins to get drawn in by the vortex, however he quickly grabs Durendal off of Roland.
"Hold on tight buddy! Hyah!"
Kalib would then stab the mighty blade into the ground before reaching out to Roland and holding him tight. The persona's grip seemingly unwavering as he continues to hold the net, but Kalib's knuckles are already going white at the force of the vortex.
"Alright everyone! Do your thing!"
Senri ducks down and grabs the side of the icey platform she created, she is able to resist the strength of the whirlpool for a little bit before falling into the water. Senri's heart sinks along with her body. She cannot swim... Was this the end...?
She looked up aimlessly, thinking back on her life, ready to accept death before she finally touches the bottom and... Realizes she isn't drowning.
Huh. Well atleast she wasn't dead. Is this breathable water right out of Fatal Fantasy X?
She rises and eyes the boss, now seeing it's full form.
Ah, look. Deep fried halibut tonight.
Senri smiled, feeling oddly empowered by being able to stand on the ocean floor.
Mania, come!
Mania appears behind Senri and casts a Bufudyne, aiming directly for the fin like arms of the boss.
Tatsuya grins over at Kalib, looks like their plan is working... But it needs something else. Either way, the man stabs his blade down into the ground an attempt to keep from being moved.
"Oy Kalib, looks like we better reel this one in pretty quick eh? Lucifer help out some!"
At that the King of Hell raises his claws up and smirks at the shadow, tendrils of Darkness shooting out and rushing behind the beast. Before quickly forming themselves into another net and attempting to help pull it closer, the net rushing forwards to get onto the thing's back and hopefully yank it over without too much struggle.
"Alright everyone let's end this fishing trip fast!"
As everyone swirls closer to the creature Gamma's ice chunk fires off and lands into its jaw. The flow is stopped for a moment before it chomps down on the ice to break it into tiny peices before devouring it entirely.
In the moment the ice created Haruko fires off a compressed stream of water to knock the fish off-balance. Another moment is bought where the stream is delayed.
The net is secured further by Kalib's persona as he has a chance to completely overwhelm the beast. It's brought in close by the sudden shift of weight.
Senri attempt to freeze the monster's fins. The ice forms around them almost immediately with the flow interrupted. The creature's ability to swim has been interrupted as it falls limp within the net.
Tatsuya forms a second net to pull it closer but just as the first net begins inching close the ice suddenly breaks and the creature breaks through it to be trapped by Tatsuya's net. It begins to struggle against Lucifer's pull as its body glows with a strange blue light. Suddenly the amount of force it pushes back with increases tenfold.
It's recovering... Don't let it escape!
Senri runs forward, a little by the water, drawing her katana and attempting to drive it into the jaw of the shadow.
Having been brought closer by the stream, Gamma lets the momentum he has leftover bring him within a few feet of the struggling monster. He looks up to Tatsuya and Kalib fishing above and gives a thumbs up
Thanks for the help restraining it, fortunately its in my element now.
Gamma puts both arms between him and the creature as his persona swirls through the water around them
Shiranui, Diamond Dust.
The dragon roars and swirls more rapidly around his arms, freezing the nearby water into a single, large icicle, this one roughly five inches in diameter and ten inches long, before kicking the heavily-compacted ice towards the creature in order to launch the icicle at high speeds into its side. He sees Senri rush in towards it and shouts
Hey, maybe try being a little more careful with the tentacled death-mass? Doesn't look like the thing you want to get right next to.
It looks desperate! Now's our chance to reel it in!
*Sends some water to beef up the Diamond Dust further!*
Tatsuya smirks at the thing as Lucifer struggles to hold on, seems like it's fighting back pretty hard.
"Okay everyone, don't let this overgrown seafood dinner fight back!"
With that Tatsu draws his gun, PSI energy glowing upon the bullets as 3 of them fly straight towards his foe's head. Lucifer, on the other hand, roars as the net in its hands begins forming small blades upon the surface, from there they'd move back and forth along the beast's skin in an attempt to distract it by inflicting horrible pain. Combine with the headshots and hopefully, it'll be too stunned to fight back, if he hit anyways.
"Gamma has a point, although our plan does hinge on bringing it closer... I wasn't really thinking about actual melee!"
PK seems surprised his Pancake Kick works out as well as it did, standing stunned for a while before kicking back into gear

PK then brings the laser blade to his side as he warps it into a mallet, attempting to donk the shadow on the head with it as he tries to swim above, playing whack-a-shadow
I trained with a machine for this! Take this!

With Roland holding fast, Kalib would reach for Roland's olifant.
"HERO'S RALLY!"
He shouts out the name of the skill before blowing into the horn. A cover of prismatic light coats the party as it enhances their attack, speed and defense. However, it's only good for this turn due to the method the skill was used.
Senri rushes the creature as she jabs the blade directly into its jaw. The creature tries to shrug of the hit as it flails about but focuses more on struggling to push back against the netand thus doesn't retaliate against Senri. Senri however, would not be away from the creature if something were to go wrong.
Tide of Despair:
Gamma sends the icicle forward with the help of Haruko's boost in water causing it to fly much faster and farther. The icicle however due to this increased speed flies of course as it nearly misses Senri. It would scrape against her face as it travels directly into the net. The icicle bounces off the net tearing it in the process as it flies straight back towards Gamma's chest.
Tide of Hope:
Just as the net is about to break from the creature's struggling Tatsuya hits it directly in the head. The creature is immediately stunned by this strike as it stops pushing against the net and begins reeling back in pain. The net begins rebuilding itself as spike for from all sides. The net closes in on the beast as its wrapped up in the spiky tendrils. A blueish goop can be seen clearly through the blood red water as it leaks from the monster.
Pancake knight rushes in with his hammer...light saber...thing...He manages to land a strike on the monster but for lackluster damage as the net impedes the hammer's strike. A small bruise is left on the monster's head which will hopefully keep it stunned longer.
Kalib buffs the party to hopefully allow them to hit hard, faster, and not die as much for the next turn.
(Suddenly, a snake centipede hybrid comes outta nowhere)
Seeing the epic failure there, Gamma immediately reacts, keeping his arms in front of him
Shiranui, Ice Age
Gamma's persona attempts to build a small wall of ice in front of him to block off the icicle, it manages to get several inches thick before the rebounded icicle reaches him. The icicle sticks into his shield, failing to go all the way through, as it continues on its path. So rather than being impaled its like getting hit by a small vehicle, pushing Gamma back several feet and knocking him on his back with a faint cracking noise
T.... That could have went better... Come on....
Gamma turns over to Haruko, the only other person he could possibly blame in this situation
Hey..... Crap, I don't even know your name.... NEW KID, did you really think I needed MORE water right now?
Gamma coughs for a moment as he struggles to get his own ice off him... He's moving a bit slower now

Senri feels the buff rush through her, making her smile more confidently as she grips her katana.
Much abliged, comrade! Now...
Senri, confident in her new stats provided by Kalib, leaps on top of the boss with her enhanced agility and attempts to thrust her katana downward into the bosses head.
OOC: If you could not Rep, this thread has a very specific setting that isn't just the walk in freely kinda thing.
Tatsuya sighs as he looks over at Gamma, at least his own aim was good... But Christ Gamma really?
"Gamma, I suggest you don't try to blame this on someone else. That was simple poor aim on your part, these things happen but she's got nothing to do with it. Well, that and poor interaction with my net as well."
With that Tatsuya draws his Evoker and quickly slams it to his head, Hyperion appearing in a burst of light and waving his hands at their foe. The dark glow of Debilitate covering the shadow as Tatsu smirks at it.
"Now with that done, let's finish this before I have to dispell my Personas shall we?"
Lucifer roars at the beast and rushes towards it, his claws gleaming with darkness as he attempts to stab them towards the thing's head. Hopefully, it being weakened and Lucifer's own buffs will help out a bit. As the claws rush toward at it, the darkness upon them leaps forward forming into small spikes that attempt to leap into its eyes. If brute force doesn't work, perhaps he can blind the thing?
Seeing as the net is impeding his strike, PK decides to try to squeeze through it, going for another few strikes with his hammer as he concentrates on being protected, casting a small pale barrier on himself to protect from physical strikes
Don't worry about me! Keep going!
Alright time to de-scale this fish!
*Haruko laughs a bit at Gamma*
Hey, it did its job at least.
*And then she swims in close to the monster. Slashing at it with a pair of Chakrams, at high... swimming speed!*
Kalib stands back as the others continue their assault.
"Alright Roland. Let's back them up!"
A blue ring of fire appears around the pair even under the water.
"I am thou, thou art I. Amidst this sea of death we will stand in the face of adversity. Our comrades require every ounce of strength we can muster in order to finish our foe. That is our oath! PALADIN'S OATH!"
The flame roars as he speaks the final words. A blue light coating his body as he attempts to have the beast's full attention.
"Eyes on me pal! The show is just starting!"
Senri stabs at the creature from above but the blade doesn't seem to cut too deep as the creature flails around to get her off. The fins begin moving around violently as suddenly the hands begin to unfuse from one another. The creature attempt to grab Senri with its many doll like arms.
Tatsuya's attack rips into the creature allowing for the arms to be torn away from Senri as well. The spikes from Lucifer's claws of darkness also extend into the creature's lifeless eyes. However, it seem to have effects as its lifeless eyes never seemed to serve a purpose in the first place.
The net somewhat restricts PK's movements but he manages to slam the hammer down onto the creature with a solid strike. It's doll like arms shatter to pieces as they float into the bloody sea.
Haruko approaches the creature with her Chakrams and slashes at it. The slash seemed to deal decent impact to its side as it bleeds a little more.
The monster seems to begin struggling a bit more against the net in response to Kalib's oath but is unable to move to much. The net tears a tiny bit but it seems as though this fish is cooked. Time to finish this...
Gamma gets the ice off of him, muttering something under his breath before looking back at the creature
Yeah yeah, whatever Tatsu. Sure its always been so easy for you. Anyways, it looks to be about done.
Gamma coughs for a moment before continuing, this time his persona weaves through the water surrounding him
Shiranui, Diamond Dust.
A dozen dagger-sized shards of ice form in the water around Gamma before arcing outwards,
headed around the others to strike out at the shadow
There, surely some of them will hit.
"Alright team let's end this one quickly... And no need to waste a ton of power here."
At that Lucifer vanishes from sight, rather than doing some over the top attack Hyperion simply forms a large blade of hardlight and rushes towards the Shadow, the Persona hefts its blade up over its head and quickly brings the thing downwards after reaching the target. Aiming to slam into the shadow's skull and finish the job. Tatsu, on the other hand, looks over towards Gamma and smirks.
"Always been easy? No, not quite, once upon a time I had barely any clue what I was doing... People make mistakes, that's fine. Just don't try to pin those mistakes on others and I don't really care."
At that he'd absently draw his blade, watching the Shadow and preparing to block any attempts at attack, it seems unlikely, but he's not going to risk getting blindsided.
*Haruko stays in close and delivers another slash at the monster's... well whatever part looks most head-like!*
Alright, it's time to finish this.
Kotori, Who was totally here this whole time, uses her wind enchantment to fire herself after the monster, holding her blade in front of herself to cut through the water in front of herself, hoping to jet her blade directly into the shadow like a human torpedo
Alright! Now for the finale! Here we go! PK is blasting off!
PK then takes the laser blade and sets it to wind, blasting away all of its energy towards the ground to propel himself into the air, as PK puts his arms into the air, electricity builds around them, overcharging his laser blade.
Alrighty! Here goes! PK! GRAVITY HAMMER STRIKE!
PK then sets the mode to gravity as he swings the laser hammer towards the shadow, sending shockwaves from the force into the water from the amplified strike
Kalib forms a smaller version of Durendal in his right hand as he tosses the original blade to Roland. The light that surrounded him then began to coat his arm and form a gauntlet made of blue metal as the blade glows.
"This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you!"
The pair leap leap towards the creature as their swords glow with a brilliant blue light. Their target is the underbelly of the beast.
"TAKE THIS! MY LOVE, MY ANGER, AND ALL OF MY SORROW! BRAVE BLADE XROSS!"
Kalib and Roland cross paths as they run their blades across the beast's underside, leaving a massive blue X shape. Kalib would then halt and look back before speaking.
"X marks the spot."
The icy needles surround the beast as it's pierced by them one by one. A cloud of blue floating up as each makes its impact.
Hyperion stabs through the creature with its blade of light. As the blade clashes with its head a cloud of solid blue forms.
Kotori's blade cuts into it as well with striking results. A cloud of blue forms where she cut the creature.
The shock waves from PK strike the shadow hard as the net breaks. The shadow is sent flying into the ground as it sits there barely still able to move.
Kalib and Roland strike through the creature to form and X. The X is covered in the blue cloud that's made up of the creature's blood.
Finally Haruko herself rushes in for a final strike with her blades. Her chakrams cut through the monsters head as the creature begins flailing around wildly before it bursts into a blue cloud. The blue cloud begins forming over the area as the water seems to retake on a blue coloration.
Sudden;y, the water feels very much real again as the party begins having trouble breathing. The water begins to drain from the area at a rapid pace as everyone is returned to the beach.
The last thing that can be seen of the monster is a image that looks exactly like Haruko. It smiles at her briefly as if to thank her before bursting into a pile of seawater that soaks into the sand.
Haruko can feel a familiar power coursing through her as her will is restored. Her persona has awoken once more as the power seems to fade.
*Haruko breathes the.... AIR! Actual air!*
That... was FUN!
*She fist punches the air!*
And I got Chiyome out of the deal, easier than the first time.
So, with that taken care of, where to next, Fear?
Gamma wasn't expecting the water to go back to water so quickly and ends up breathing a little in, leaving him to cough and sputter for a moment before he could speak again
Yeah, whatever Tatsu... *cough cough* Anyways, I take it that's it? *sigh* One step closer to ending the whole thing. Just gotta see what's next and all that.

Haaaaa....... Land..... Sweet sweet land.....
Kotori hugs the ground beneath her
Tatsuya holds his breath for a moment and shakes his head at Gamma, gah. Dealing with this isn't something he wants.
"Indeed, let's just keep going, for now, shall we? That wasn't exactly a tough one, so we should keep moving forward."
At that he'd stow the blade on his back once more and begin walking forward.
Kalib dizzily walks up the beach and falls on his back.
"That...was gross...I can't get the taste out of my mouth."
His breathing is slightly labored as he tries to get accustomed to air once more.
"I think I need a break. You guys take care, 'kay?"
He tends to his wounds and begins recovering his stamina.
PK jumps and does a fistbump to celebrate this occasion, however,
when he realizes that he's still in the air, with an empty laser blade he screams as he falls onto the ground, yelping when he hits the ground
Oof!
*PK then shakes himself up and gets up, noticing the water had disappeared
Is that all! Well then lets continue! No stopping now!

A being wrapped in a yellow mist appears. It's Fear who has re-submerged once more but they aren't showing their face. A voice echoes out like a cry almost.
Fear: I...I'm sorry...you should just stay away from me...you're all hurt because of what I did. I'm...nothing but a monster who makes other monsters...
The yellow figure seems to float up into the residential area above the beach. It slowly begins to float away.
Seeing fear again, PK begins to chase after the figure, trying to get its attention as PK runs over
Hey! Hold on! Your not all bad! The fact that you feel that way proves it! Your a good person! You just need help to change your ways!
Hey! You get back here! I'm not done telling you how you're not a monster yet!
*Haruko, now with her Persona back, foolhardily charges upward toward the residential area!*

She begins using the wind to leap upwards to the figure
"Yare yare daze, more of this game of tag huh? Well, let's get this crap over with so we can get to the end boss soon."
That having been said he'd stick his hands in his pockets and walk after the thing, moving casually in contrast to PK's blind rush.
Gamma watches the others go after Fear and sighs, he briefly looks after PK and Kotori, reckless as they are, before walking off along the beach on his own
I'm sure they can handle it, may as well see what's out here, before I go of course.
Kalib eyes Gamma curiously as he walks down the beach on his own.
"What's he up to?"
After making note of where the group went, he'd stand and tail behind Gamma. Not really hiding the fact, but not announcing his presence.
As the others go after Fear Gamma lags behind staying on the beach, Kalib would watch him from a distance.
The others chase after Fear. It seems to be moving through the neighborhood much faster than the others had in the past as if running away.
Fear: I...I don't want to hurt you...if you continue, you'll only know the pain of death just as many of you had before...please...stop...
Meanwhile, as Gamma walks along the beach the mist around him seems to grow slightly as a familiar presence approach. It would almost seem as if the figure was Chaos himself but he noticeable lacks the yellow glow within his eyes. Instead it's replaced by a subtle red.
???: Weird, you got away from everyone else. Gotta hand it to ya. That takes some guts in a place like this but kinda begs the question...why?

Tatsuya looks over at the young girl and sighs to himself, a fool who wants to die. How wonderful. In spite of that however, he keeps moving along calmly, there's no sense getting worked up at the moment after all.

PK tries to keep up with Fear, but is having a bit of trouble, after all he's quite exhausted, and he doesn't have a speed boost to boot
Gamma of course didn't notice Kalib trailing behind him, too much else to worry about, he brings out Shiranui, the dragon coiling around his arms, prepared
Honestly, I've never been too much of a people person. They obviously don't need me, so I figured it would be fine to go let off some steam on my own. *chuckle* Besides, not dying is apparently my only skill, if I remember how the other me went, so I'm honestly not too worried.
Gamma sighs and glances around the beach, before looking Chaos? in the eye
Speaking of which, who are you supposed to be anyways? Are you the real Chaos, or just another aspect like we've been seeing?
Kalib stands silently behind Gamma. He was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Shiranui more than the appearance of Chaos. A blue card floats above his right hand in case of emergency.
The figure begins to slow down and stop momentarily out of breath. It almost seems to bend down as if out of breath until it notices Kotori darting for it directly. It begins running again almost as if trying to escape her directly.
Fear: No...just...go home already! Just stop this...there's no point...you''ll just get yourself hurt...
The figure looks back directly at Gamma. For a moment he has no reaction to his question. He suddenly is having trouble breathing as he bend down and covers his mouth.
Laughter begins bursting out of him uncontrollably but it isn't a sinister laughter, it's one of genuine amusement. He finally calms down after a minute of laughter before replying to Gamma.
???: I'm sorry, it's just that you called me Chaos. Really that's funny! This freaky world is so messed up though I can't blame you. Do you really think someone would call themselves Chaos though? What a stupid name...
The figure almost breaks out into more laughter at the thought.
Hurt? Pfft! Tha-Ahh!
Kotori gets so caught up in the chase and responding to the figure that she doesn't realize her enchantment has run out, causing her to trip over herself as her speed immediately plummets
Gamma simply shrugs, all things considered, he's fine with dumb-sounding fake names, meanwhile his persona weaves through the air around him, settling for looking over Gamma's shoulder
Chaos is the only name he ever gave me, so that's the name I use. Kinda rude to use something else after all.
Gamma takes a deep breath and forms a small crystal of ice in his palm in order to toss and catch it while he thinks for a moment
Based on your response I'd think its safe to say you're not him, so... Care to give me a name? Or would you just like to laugh some more.
"Geez really? Calm down an stop running would ya? I'm in no hurry to fight... But even so it has to be dealt with..."
He stares towards Fear for a moment, looking down as he spots Kotori tripping over her own feet. Christ, learn some situational awareness.
"Keep watch better yeah? I just told ya not to be so hasty, and look how it went. It'd be best to take things a bit safer if you don't have reason to rush."
*PK stops immediately upon seeing Kotori fall, almost tripping over himself, offering her a hand and a smile as he watches Fear

Fear suddenly comes to a stop upon seeing Kotori fall down. His eyes clear up as he almost looks sorry.

Fear walks up to Kotori ignoring PK. He offers her his hand as it glows with a yellow light.
Fear: Let me show you how you stand up. How you will stand up time and time again.
Meanwhile, the figure finally done laughing gives Gamma a more serious look as if he was expecting something else.
???: I get it already. You're not gonna take me seriously if I'm just laughing about stuff like that, right? I think you put too much faith in names.
So I'll ask you more seriously this time. Just what do you think the name Chaos means? Where's the drive behind calling yourself something like that? Can you give me a serious answer to that question?

She almost takes the hands offered to her, then stands up on her own

Hearing Tatsuya scold her again, Kotori clenches her fist

The figure's words do cause Kalib to ponder to himself as he continues to listen in.
Gamma sighs and looks across his shoulder at Shiranui, he nods at the image, not like it would do anything in return of course
Chaos... Most people are repulsed by the very word, of course, not everyone's that way, but it has a negative connotation.
Gamma casually tosses the shard of ice over his shoulder, it melts shortly after hitting the beach
If I were to guess, I'd say he called himself Chaos to distance himself from people and perhaps even chase them away. Its much easier than actually trying after all. Reaching out is mostly a pain.
PK bows as he brings Kotori back to his feet, then returning to his regular self
No worries! I always knew you weren't such a person! You just needed a hand! Now then! Fear! Show me the next opponent! I'm ready!
PK then grips onto his laser blade in the off mode, as it crackles to life a beam shoots out
Tatsuya stares blankly at the girl before him, how in the hell someone can miss the hints in front of them this badly he has no clue.
"Just take the hand already, we gotta get this show moving after all."
He'd smirk at her slight after saying those words, heh. Almost seems like she's annoyed or something from the way she's acting.
"Oh, and don't be sorry either. I'm not saying this shit to be a pain in the ass or something, just trying to help out ya know? I... Well, I've learned a lotta lessons about this stuff the hard way, I'd prefer if others don't have to do the same."
Kotori takes the hand without a word
Whatever..... Just hurry up and give me a fight....
Fear seems to try to smile as the yellow light begins shining brightly. Its a smile of apology and terror. The lights fills her mind as an image of Chaos walking through the streets of a crowded city takes hold. The people in the city begin collapsing before their forms turn dark. Chaos seems to smile as this happens. Suddenly, Kotori appears behind him with her sword ready. She seems to be shouting at him but what she's saying is unclear.
Chaos turns around and 3 simple words can be heard.
Chaos: Go home, kid.
I don't have time for worms like you so go enjoy what time you have left before I destroy this world.
With that Chaos would attempt to walk away. Kotori would grow a frustrated look on her face as she runs forth to try and strike at Chaos. He seem to turn back right as she approaches and pulls his sword out to counter her. With one swift slash against her blade she's knocked back to the ground.
Chaos: Did you not hear me? Go away...just stop. You'll only get hurt.
Kotori didn't stop. Time and time again she would get up and attempt to fight Chaos only to be knocked down again. Chaos showed signs of almost fear in his eyes as the girl continues to get back up.
Chaos: Would you just quit it already!?! What does this prove exactly? I don't get it...do you really want to die so badly!
Kotori continues to get back up again and again. Eventually she struggled to even move as she would try to run towards Chaos again only for the same result to ensue. Countless times this continued until finally she could no longer even move. Chaos would approach her with malice in his eyes.
Chaos: Do I really need to show you just how much of a bad gu-
Upon seeing Kotori's frustrated look as she runs out of energy something shifts in Chaos' eyes.
Chaos: Fine...you win.
With one final swing Chaos' blade would slash right through Kotori. The vision would begin to fade out as Kotori's body seemed to rise once more. Kotori's vision would begin to clear as the creaking of metal being dragged against the ground could be heard nearby.
Meanwhile, the figure continues looking at Gamma with a serious expression. He almost looks tired with Gamma's response.
???: You'll defend Chaos until the very end, won't you? Are you so sure that they're the person you should be saving though. Did this world really become corrupted by one who wanted people to stop rejecting them's will?
Seems rather strange doesn't it. If he so longed to be accepted then why...well, why all this?
Gamma chuckles faintly as his persona moves forward, settling around his right arm
People do stupid things when they're scared, or frustrated. When someone's really done with living, they very well might try anything. Though, in my experience, its always a bit more than destruction they're after.
Usually someone gives them the idea, and in some way tries to make them feel needed, or at the very least empower them through such actions.
A small spike of ice begins to grow in Gamma's right hand as he raises it towards the figure
You're obviously not.... Whatever his actual name is. So, tell me, are you the one who gave him the idea?
Tatsuya would attempt to listen to the sounds of metal, making an effort to hone in on its source as Hyperion appears behind him.
"Whelp, I'm not totally sure this is gonna work but I'll take a shot anyways!"
The sound of his fingers snapping rings out across the field as Hyperion forms a glowing orb of light and flame in its hands, the small sun construct flying through the air to where Tatsuya presumes his foe is based on the sound. Of course, there's no way he can be sure of it hitting at the moment.

Kotori just stands still, her eyes wide in a mix of fear and a bit of understanding, different emotions welling up inside her

She tries to laugh off the vision, but is still obviously disturbed by it

The figure sighs before looking towards Gamma dead on. His eyes seem to almost show a certain anticipation as he stares at the ice.
???: I kinda wanted things to turn out like this...This is the best way to get someone to understand.

In a burst of flames a shining blade appears in the figures hand. The flames soon die out as they swing the blade in front of them.
???: The weapon for the father to slaughter his own child. An act of pure nonsense but a weapon like this was finally able to quell the flames of hell that burned away even creation itself.
I've been eager for this so I want you to attack first.
Meanwhile, as Tatsuya has Hyperion send out its construct of light and fire towards the sound of metal scraping against the ground the sound would begun to grow faster as the attack missed.
The sound would come out directly and attempt to attack Tatsuya with two swift strike to the chest. Both strike would come one after another and strike at him diagonally.
The figure that attacked him would be a large humanoid figure roughly the size of a car with two swords in and. The figure was faceless but it's desire to strike Tatsuya down could be felt clearly.
Tatsuya wasn't really expecting that shot to hit... The counter was almost faster then he figured though, one of the blows slams into his chest as the man leaps backwards, by the time the second comes he's already gone.
"Oh, so you wanna pick a fight with me huh? That suits me just fine then, not like I'm scared of getting up close after all!"
With that his Persona waves it's hands, the same dark light that had weakened their prior foe covering this shadow as well. Tatsuya himself, however, reaches up to his back and draws Gram.
The flames of the holy blade lighting up as he moves towards the thing, making an attempt to dart in and stab towards its own chest. The flames growing larger for a moment before the jump forward. Regardless of if his stab hit, the fire would rush out in a beam that moves right for it. Hopefully, it can't dodge at such close range?
Really? You've been eager?
The icicle grows in Gamma's hand until it reaches roughly three inches in diameter

Gamma's persona uncoils around his arm as he rapidly moves his right, launching the icicle, not at the figure itself, but at the ground before them
If you want a fight so badly, why insist I strike first? It wouldn't make any sense if you were planning on actually winning. Do you think you're not justified otherwise? The mere fact you'll wait indicates you're not hopeless, though I was hoping you'd answer me.
OOC: I believe that we'll pauses here for now as we've lost most of the party to the depths of sleep and I'm sure others would like rest as well. I'll probably try to do this again Friday but of course I'll check to see if everyone's available. Well, that's all for now, I guess.

The figure would attempt to raise it's own blade in an attempt to block Tatsuya's strike. The strike would be sucessfully blocked by the creature's blade but the fire was another story. It would be unable to avoid the flames as they surround the creature but rather than burning it right awa the flames seem to begin melding with it instead. All at once they go out as the creature's body glows with a red light.
Kotori's blade with clank against the creature's metal skin while the fire seemed to simply sink into it as well. The creature would turn its attention away from Tatsuya and turn to Kotori instead. It's own blades would ignite with flames as it uses one to strike down at Kotori with a powerful downward slash. The other blade would be thrusted in Tatsuya's direction to keep him away.
Meanwhile, back where Gamma stands the strange figure would almost look suprised with Gamma's question. It seemed he had anticipated a fight but he quickly regains a smile as he looks at Gamma.
???: "So, you don't want a fight, after all? If you want to know why I didn't attack first then I guess I should make myself clear. I'm not your enemy. In fact, I think it'd be more accurate to say I'm quite the opposite but I won't get into that anymore.
Spoilers are bad and if I overstep my bounds then this world will notice my presence. Trust me when I say that, that would be bad for everyone."
Geh! Y-you!
Kotori takes the slash and stumbles back a bit before infusing her blade with ice and swinging at the monsters own blade

Gamma sighs and relaxes a bit, allowing his persona to fade, mo need to try intimidation anymore
Oh boy, I love riddles. For example, why you felt the need to just show up out of nowhere and laugh at me, especially if you can’t afford to be noticed. I assume you wanted to talk to me for some reason, yes? Otherwise why risk it?
*Haruko runs up to the rest of the group, taking stock of what's going on....*
Oh, another one of these things, huh? And metalic.... hmm...
PK sees the beast burst into flames and presses a few buttons on his sword, turning the blade's laser from a white glow to a red flame, as cinders spark off the weapon
Alright! Let's fight fire with fire! Have at thee!
PK then presses a button again as he runs up to the figure, slashing at the armour with the fiery sword
"Tch trying to keep me back? Big mistake when I'm already good at range."
Tatsuya darts backward as he speaks, the blade scraping against his skin as he moves, but given the fact that it was trying to force him back... He'll grant that wish.
"Now then... Looks like this thing is absorbing the fire somehow eh? Well, let's see what happens when I shift up elements a bit. COME DAGDA!"
As soon as he speaks the bearded old man takes Hyperion's place. Water flowing around behind the Persona before a rushing tidal wave bursts forth. The water shooting at their foe with blinding speed. If he isn't wrong then this might work.
"Let's just cool things off over here, shall we? I don't see any reason to get so heated after all."
With that Tatsuya darts further back as a silver revolver forms in his hands, icy energy flowing through the gun before 2 frost covered bullets fly towards the thing's head.
"I guess this should be an interesting test, if nothing else."
As the ice from Kotori's blade makes contact with the figure's blade a strange reaction takes place. It's body immediately seems to be coated in a silvery substances as it remains completely motionless. PK attempts to slash at the creature with his fire-infused saber but it stops at the strange silver coat seemingly unable to deal any damage.
The water Tatsuya summons seems to have a similar affect as it simply washes over it. Even the bullets fail to make even a dent as they simply bounce off. The silvery coat begins to crack before completely breaking. As the coat breaks off the creature seems to fall to a knew as a thick steam surround the area. It's hard to see anything from the steam making aiming for the creature much harder.
The figure Gamma confronts seems to look up towards the sky. The smile once again disappears off his face and is replaced with a somber expression. It almost seems as if the figure is trying to figure out exactly how to put his thoughts into words.
???: "Honestly, I don't know why I took the risk. It'll be difficult for me to explain properly but...I suppose I felt I needed to make sure you all knew what was involved before you decided anything. There's a lot more here then what you may believe is going on."
The figure looks Gamma dead serious in the eyes before continuing.
???: "I'm not just talking about Yomi or your lives. There's a lot more on the line here and no matter how strong you might all think you are you'll be powerless to stop it unless you know what you're getting yourselves into.
I genuinely wish I could tell you more but I've already said as much as I can. There's a lot on the line for me personally as well and I'd really prefer it if you didn't end up messing it up for me too. Not you specifically of course, I refer to everyone in your little group."
Hmm...... steam? It wants to not be hit suddenly?
*Haruko would then grin, summoning up her Persona.*

*The figure appears within the steam, before dashing forward with a hidden blade, trying to hit the Shadow-Thing at the last spot it had been seen.*
Here's hoping this thing doesn't teleport.
Kotori's sword vibrates hard in her hand as her strike hit the figure, making her almost drop it
T-that actually worked?.... Now.....
She infuses her blade with Lightning and redoubles her strike at where she thought she saw it kneel

PK seems surprised his sword strike is deflected, jumping back when the steam appears to avoid burns as
Woah! This doesn't look good! Have no fear though! PK shall clear the way! Hiyah!
PK the raises his sword into the air, pressing the wind mode on it to summon forth a small hurricane on the blade, slowly building higher and higher with more and more spinning, PK then slashes and sends the gust of wind towards the steam, hopefully gathering it and whisking it away
"Tch steam, what a pain in the ass to not be able to see anything... Either way, let's just hit everything all at once shall we Lucifer?"
Tatsuya sighs to himself as Dagda vanishes and the horned demon lord takes shape. He'd wait for a moment and try to let Chiyome get clear, but he can't be sure in these conditions.
"And now people are trying to get close... Grr, a lot harder to cause widespread damage when people are in melee."
Instead of using his original plan. A glowing spear of Almighty magic forms in Lucifer's hands.
The Persona taking flight as it rushes into the fog, it'd flyby the area of their foe and toss the construct in its direction. That having been done, Lucifer quickly rushes upward and attempts to get out of the fog. Tatsuya isn't exactly a fan of it, but his poorly placed allies aren't making better options useable.
Haruko summons her Persona to launch an attack directly into the mist but it seemed the creature was anticipating her movements and was no longer in its previous spot.
The creature having moves means that Kotori misses as well and furthermore is now wandering in the cloud of steam as well.
PK summons forth a torrent of wind to blow the steam away. The steam cloud is successfully blown off by the hurricane. With the fog cleared the creature can be seen clearly as it somehow has gotten behind Kotori. It get's ready to slash but just as it's about to attack Lucifer's almighty magic strikes at it. For a second it seems stunned but then suddenly the light of the almighty magic surrounds it.
The faceless creature grabs at its face for a moment before a ear-piercing screech can be heard all around the area emanating from it. It suddenly rushes towards Kotori with a blind rage as it wildly begins slashing at her three times. It's blades are infused with the almighty power as it attacks.
Having seen the almighty blast hit behind her, Kotori figures out where it is and uses the wind to push herself out of its range, then turns around and swings her blade at the faceless and unleashing her flame enchantment in a wave of fire as it swings where she once was
T-that could have been dangerous.....

Seeing the beast once again, PK kneels onto the floor and draws a crossbow off his back, slinging an arrow into place as he aims the weapon, however the screech throws him off balance
W-woah! Careful everyone! This thing is dangerous!
Soon PK regains balance and aims once again, firing an arrow at its "face"* in hopes to hit something vital, even if he can't see anything there
Come on!
W-what the hell!? Does this thing absorb magic!?
*she turns to yell at Tatsu*

*Deciding not to risk setting it off any further, Haruko instead spins a Chakram at the monster's location while it's finishing the attack!*
Tatsuya smirks to himself and draws his Evoker, a bit of a shock the thing is still aiming for the kid. But either way, he slams back the trigger after pulling the gun to his head.
"Come, Hyperion, Apollo, and lay waste to all that stands before us!"
A grin crosses his face as the sound of glass shattering rings out through the air. His Personas bursting to life and rushing towards the now visible foe. Apollo stands on one side of the thing, Hyperion hovering behind it.
"Let's put an end to this foe before things get too dangerous!"
The giant of light raises its hands and a spiked wall of hardlight rushes toward the Shadow. Aiming to stab them right into the thing's back. Apollo on the other hand simply rushes the thing down. Aiming to send it flying backwards into the spikes with a heavy punch aimed towards its head, followed by lifting his left leg up and slamming it towards the Shadows chest. The man turns towards her upon hearing Haruko's question and shrugs.
"Hmm... Well, I was aware it did something with magic yes, but not of how much an impact that would have. Either way, other elements didn't do as much and it doesn't seem to be able to use more than one. So let's just see how things go, shall we?"

The creature block Kotori's blade with one blade. It pushes against her own with an immense amount of strength that it didn't display before. With its other blade it swing at her with a fast and ferocious strike. The blade it swings still being imbued with the almighty power.
PK fires a bolt at the creature's head. Though it doesn't hit anything vital the bolt does seem to daze it for a moment as it clang's against the creature's metal face.
Haruko's chakram hits the creature dead on but seems to leave no lasting effect as it simply bounces of its metal skin.
Tatsuya has Hyperiorn summon a wall of spiky light while Apollo would try to punch the creature into it as well. However rather than simply taking the punch the shadow would grab onto Apollo's fist while standing it's ground. With its free hand it would attempt to grab onto Apollo further and throw it into the wall of light instead.
Gah!
Kotori panics and kicks away from the Faceless with a gust of wind as soon as it blocks her, then immediately into the air with another gust, Infusing her body with earth and using the enchantment to increase the weight of her blade as she comes down on the Faceless while it grabs Apollo
C'mon! DO SOMETHING DAMMIT!

Apollo does indeed slam into the spikes... And takes no damage whatsoever thanks to it's nulling of the element... The man sighs to himself as both Personas vanish for a moment, the wall of light going away as new shapes begin to form in their place.
"Okay enough toying around with this thing, we have yet to do any real damage so how about trying to change that, shall we?"
Lucifer and Satan appear in place of the prior Personas, vast waves of Almighty magic flowing between them as the dart next to each other.
"Rend the world asunder and tear my foes to nothing!"
The magic finally takes shape into a massive glowing blade that both Personas grab hold of, they'd then fly straight at the thing while spinning their weapon around wildly across the area, it's rather hard to miss with an attack like that. But either way, they dart up into the sky.
"Turn all in our path to dust, and bring about the end of times!"
Finally Lucifer and Satan hurl the glowing blade down at their foe, aiming to impale the thing upon it with that attack...Regardless of their success however, the energy blade finally goes up in a massive burst of light covering the whole shadow, and about 20 feet around it. In spite of the vast blast, however, for some reason allies nearby would be unharmed by this attack. As per usual.
"ARMAGEDDON V2.0: END OF ALL THINGS!"
Gamma listens to the sort of explanation intently and sighs, looks like he really isn’t getting much more
I mean, there’s not really that much for me to add, but well, I’m not really one of the better ones here. I’ll try not to screw it up for ya, but well, sounds like your situation is too complicated for me. Sorry, I guess

PK then rubs his hands together as he shuffles his feet in place, his shoes sparking with electricity, building up more and more static charge
Alright! Let's hope this works! Pancake Kick!
PK then begins to run towards the beast, leaving sparks with every step before jumping into the air and trying to deliver a kick to the area where the bolt hit, trying to drive the dent even further in and electrifying it
We need to pop that armor off if we're going to have any hope here!
*hmphs and reluctantly summons up Chiyome yet again.*
Chiyome, Aquadyne!
*A sudden wave of water rises up in front of the Persona, barreling toward the shadow. Unlike normal water, though, this water tries its absolute hardest to get into every little nook and crack the Shadow might have. Trying to force the armor off of it.*
The creature yet still somehow anticipates Kotori's movements. Now done with Apollo it turns her attention to her. It would raise both blades as she comes down using one to block her blade and the other to try and let her come down onto it with her own force.
At that moment, Tatsuya throws his Armeggedon 2.0 at the creature. Busy with Kotori it would be unable to avoid the attack as the massive burst of power erupt right besides it. The power would seem to absorb into its body but rather then infusing with it it would seem to cause a unstable reaction. The creature's body would begin to rust as it dropped to a single knee.
With the creature down PK would kick at it with an electrifying force. However the kick wouldn't leave as much of an impact as he would want.
Haruko attempts to strip the armor off of the shadow using highly condensed water but right as the water is about to make impact the creature forms its silver shell once more. The shell immediately begins to crack as the water passes over it. From within the cracks the armor would burst off followed by a giant burst of almighty magic. The blast would surely hit anyone within the area under most circumstances.
Meanwhile, while Gamma is having a calm chat with some random figure. The figure would smile sadly as he began to walk away.
"It doesn't matter. Just try to keep what I said in mind and...uh...one final favor to ask. Don't forget about me. I'm the true one got it. I better leave now otherwise Chaos might overhear that I said that. Later..."
The figure would vanish into the dark haze as he spoke his final word. No sign of them was left as if they had simply vanished leaving Gamma on the beach on his own. He might hear the light sound of screeching in the distance followed by Tatsuya shouting something and a explosion.
GAH!
Kotori is hit with the blast of the Almighty, but due to the Earth Enchantment, isn't pushed away as she's locked to the earth, however, she does fall to a knee and drop her sword as the massive amount of Mana is taken point blank and overwhelms her.
Gh....... C-c'mon...... Don't.... be useless......
She attempts to stand back up, only barely managing to lift her blade again as she looses the wind enchantment out around her to clear the steam

PK delivers the kick and is quickly blown back by the explosion of almighty, as he recovers from the blast he shakes himself
Alright! Come on! Its close to going down! Let's finish this quickly! We've still got alot of ground to cover!
PK seeing an opening in the armour, decides to run up and deliver a thrust of the laser blade, trying to stab into it before releashing the electricity
*Haruko is safe at range from the blast, but there were people in trouble. But the best way to make sure they're safe is to make sure this shadow stops existing.*
The armor's off! Now's our chance!
*She summons up Chiyome one more time, the Persona dashing into melee range and trying to strike again.*
Tatsuya's Personas vanish into thin air, they're not going to work for a bit given how much power he just tossed out. Instead, the man pulls a frag grenade from his coat and quickly shouts out.
"Please get clear of our foe, it would be very bad if this grenade actually hit anyone else after all!"
His warning delivered the man would then toss it right at the thing's back, aiming to send concussive force and bits of shrapnel flying at the backside of their hopefully not moving target.
The creature beaten and with weakened armor would attempt to get up slowly. It's movements seem to be slowing as if it's running out of energy. It would slowly try to move towards Kotori with still one blade in its hand.
It would be interrupted by PK's attack however as the laser blade would stab into it's armor actually leaving a mark this time. However as PK dispenses the electricity the creature seem to try and absorb the attack. It's only semi-successful but the absorption works well enough for it to start moving more again. It would try and push PK away as it runs towards Kotori.
Once again while almost reaching her Haruko's persona would slash at it knocking it down. Finally Tatsuya's grenade would land right by the shadow before exploding in a burst of shrapnel and fire. Not being magic the creature can not null or absorb the flames and thus begins burning up on the ground. Smoke rises from the spot as the creature remains motionless as a charred mix of metal and flesh.
Wave of Despair:
However. the creature was rather close to Kotori at that time and thus she would no doubt be hit with almost the full force of shrapnel and fire as well. The explosion would only be lightly shielded by the monster's body as it too wasn't able to resist such an effect with much success.

In a panic, Kotori unconsciously channels the leftover Lightning charge into her earth enchantment, then expels all of her Earth enchantment in a desperate attempt to save herself by fortifying her body with her remaining Mana.
Now, completely drained of all her magic, Kotori drops to the ground, her body completely useless as she lays there, breathing heavy, and an expression of complete and absolute shame on her face.
Whew! That was a close one! Hehe!
PK then plops himself on the ground, breathing deeply to recover from the fight, slowly but surely regaining his strength
Tatsuya curses to himself and rushes over towards the fallen girl, he'd been hoping that nothing would happen but oh well. Might as well keep her alive.
"Fucking wonderful, this is not exactly what I had in mind... But if nothing else at least it hurt the dammed thing this time so go us."
Tatsuya stands between their foe and the person its based off of, his gun gleaming with no energy whatsoever as 3 utterly normal bullets fly from the barrel and toward the Shadow's chest. He's more aiming to keep it busy till his Personas are back than actually get anything done as of right now...
The shadow would twitch slightly as it begins to try and move around. It's barely able to move at all though as it tries to move past Tatsuya and towards Kotori once more. It crawls on the ground no longer able to stand. Almost all the energy drained from its burnt and beaten body. It's surprising it even continues moving. Most shadows in its place would have given up with that last attack.
It seems like no matter what this shadow doesn't want to give up.
"Oh, would you just fucking die already. Jesus such an inconsiderate Shadow, tear everything to shreds Lucifer!"
Blue flame bursts around Tatsuya as an angry Demon Lord appears in front of the man, claws thrashing all around the Persona as it rushes toward its foe.
"And just for good measure, I might as well do something myself too!"
At that, the Persona's attacks shift to a more closely aimed stab, one claw rushing right for its target's chest. Tatsuya, on the other hand, has banished his gun once more, a pair of gleaming gauntlets now resting upon them as he darts forward with a smirk on his face and attempts to slam his metal covered fists into its face.
"I think it's about time we ended this damm fight, I've got injuries to tend to and you aren't really helping matters any asshole!"
Gh....... Stupid....... Useless..... Weak......
Kotori tears up as she tries with all her strength to move, but only barely manages to move her fingers before her body completely gives out, regardless of her determination
The shadow's limbs would become broken and torn. The once faceless metal armor would begin to break to reveal it's eyes. They only appear as simple glowing orbs but the light would feel familiar to Kotori. With that Lucifer's claws would stab through the shadow's chest tearing it's body apart.
The shadow would begin to slowly close its eyes still trying to reach out to Kotori. Finally its body would disperse into pieces as the small debris would travel towards her. The pieces would dance around her for a moment before disappearing. Somehow, she would feel a familiar light trying to reassure her. A pulse of energy would flow through her. How she would take this would be left to her though.
"Phew battle done! And uh hey..."
Tatsuya looks over to the fallen girl as Lucifer's place is taken by Hyperion, he sighs and rubs the back of his neck while walking a bit closer.
"Sorry about that Kotori, should maybe be more careful with those things sometimes, I know it's a flaw of mine... Anyways, this should get ya back on your feet. And uh I guess that magic keeps ya from moving or something yeah?"
A healing light bursts forth from Hyperion and flows into the girl, presumably Salvation should do something right? Either way, Tatsu walks over and offers her a hand up with an uncertain expression on his face. He's not really sure how to feel about this one anymore.
"Well either way, hopefully, we can work together a bit better next time yeah... And uh if you don't mind my saying? You really need something that isn't getting in close, it's uh not always a good idea. Even more so when working with an explosives expert... Though, that's really more my fault."
Kotori simply lies on the ground, tears in her eyes, the reassurance nothing compared to the shame, humiliation, and self-loathing in her heart as the returned energy gives her enough energy to clench her fists, but not enough to reach up to Tatsuya
Hahaha...... Even there..... even here..... I'm completely worthless...... too weak to even make a scratch....... to weak to even move now.....
Another weapon wouldn't help..... It's obvious where my limit is... and no amount of weapons will expand that limit.....
Tatsuya sighs and smirks down at her, geez this kid's just a bundle of issues ain't she? Wonder what kinda Shadow the TV would make from this one? Either way, his voice suddenly takes its usual sure tone.
"Too weak to make a scratch? Looked like ya did something to it from where I was standing, and no, nothing will make you stronger..."
The man takes hold of her arm and pulls her up, helping her balance on his shoulder as he begins searching for some kind of shelter. A grin showing as
"Or at least you won't if you just mope around like that! Seriously what the hell!? One fight goes a little wrong and you're all doom and gloom? Please, anyone can get stronger if they give it all they've got. 20 years ago I couldn't do a damned thing beyond any other person, now..."
The man gestures around them with his free hand, pointing to the scorched crater left behind by his most powerful attack with a smirk on his face.
"Well, you've seen what I can do now. Everyone starts out weak Kotori, it's sticking with getting stronger long enough to get beyond it that marks true power."
With that the man would set off for some kind of shelter, assuming his search found anything anyways.

How do you go beyond a limit that's literally written into your lifeforce?
Tatsuya wanders over towards a building, finally finding a dammed place to rest... Assuming it's safe.
"Tch, there's a way around everything. If that body doesn't work then just find a better one, I've seen people who could change em out in an instant ya know? It might not come naturally, but I'm sure there's some way around your limits... No potential? That's an absurd idea if you ask me, everyone can find something in themselves if they look enough, or at least find something somehow."
The man searches through the building as he speaks, and comes to realize that it is fact a very rundown old cafe or something, either way, it looks safe enough and he places the girl in a seat before continuing.
"So sure maybe it doesn't seem possible now, but don't write yourself off so damm easy got that! If there's anything that pisses me of it's quitting before you've even gotten started, so-called limits or not, just gotta figure something out, even if it means spitting in the face of every god out there and nature itself!"
At that he raises his voice and girns at her, sounding pretty dammed determined to find a way to break these limits. He really isn't one to give up after all.

Kotori closes her eyes and ponders the things she hears, but she doesn't open them.
Seems she fell asleep thinking..... But seeing as she's no longer completely resigned, perhaps his words got through to her

Senri sat by herself in the ruined cafe. Funny, it reminded her of LeBlanc... But then, most cafes do.

Senri grasped the hand of... Nothing as she sat, smiling.
She probably looked mad to anyone watching.
As the group recovers from the last shadow fight the sky begins to light up a bit. The current area is devastated from the last fight causing most buildings in the area to have crumbled. The blonde figure with yellow eyes once again is sitting on the side of the street with solemn eyes. He seems faily upset over having put the party through he last fight and is no doubt blaming himself in his own head for Kotori's injuries.
Fear: "I...I can't be forgiven. Just...leave me alone. You'll get hurt again. All of you will get hurt again. I don't even want to remember any of it."
After having gone his own way for some time, Gamma follows the direction he heard explosions from a while back in order to come back upon the group. Rather than reveal himself, he lurks behind a nearby building, peeking his head out to watch the next event. Though he's making some effort to remain unseen, Gamma does a rather poor job of it, especially with the..... Vibrant hair
PK recovers quickly and gets up, stretching to get his blood pumping again before turning to Fear, running up and yelling at him
I don't believe anyone is beyond redemption! That's my code of Justice! If I need to get hurt to save someone! I would do it in a heartbeat! Remembering your past is the best way to improve yourself! You just need to fix your previous mistakes!
After a few minutes of pursuing all the noise, Take would be pretty quick to find the area, glancing at all the destroyed buildings with a morbid awe in her eyes.
"What the hell...?!"
She'd mumble under her breath before she'd spot Gamma, waving her hands a little to try and avoid trying to attract the enemy's attention.
"I'd best be able to use my Persona here or else we're gonna be screwed..."
Kotori manages to stand, having recovered enough Mana for simple movement

Tatsuya yawns and looks around the ruined building, he'd glance over towards Senri with a concerned look for a moment. Whatever she's seeing there can't possibly be healthy, but he's not going to spend time dealing with that at the moment. Instead, the man calls over towards Senri.
"Oi, how ya doing over there Senri? It's been a little bit since we've spoken I guess huh... So, shall get ready to deal with our next foe?"
As Tatsuya stands up and begins moving towards the doorway, he'd note PK preparing for this next little event. A slight smile crossing his face as he faces the boy.
"So then... Ready to face whatever the thing made from you is PK? We've not got much left to deal with after all, so hopefully we can find Chaos pretty soon... I'm ready to end this."
As the man clenches his fist and a determined look forms on his face, he'd turn outwards and notice the head of pink hair poking out from a wall now and then... A sigh crosses his face as he calls out to Gamma.
"You aren't as hidden as you might hope Gamma, and moreover I've got no clue why you're trying to be hidden either. Also, did anything interesting happen on that trip you and Kalib took?"
He'd finally set out from the building and begin walking close to Fear, not even bothering to acknowledge the shade of Chaos as he sets off after the thing. No sense trying to reason with it at this point after all.

Gamma shakes his head and looks back at Fear
and for the record, I was waiting to make a dramatic entry. You know, run in, shoot some icicles or something, save the day. That sort of thing.
Finally, he makes an overly dramatic shrugging motion, though he doesn't seem to have noticed Takeno

Senri is surprised when Tatsuya suddenly addresses her, breaking out of her bubble.

Senri says without correcting herself before standing up from the booth. She brushes off her dress.

She nods playfully to Tatsuya as she follows him out of the ruined building, immediately noticing Fear. Another piece of the puzzle that is Chaos. To think such a cowardly and weak willed shadow is part of the being that is Chaos...
As she wondered what he held in his heart, she approached.
Do you feel you need forgiveness? What you did came from your own heart. It was your will that brought this world. It brought the deaths of myself, Mona, and my friends here.
The question is not should you be forgiven. It is: Are you willing to accept full responsibility for your actions and move forward?
Fear stands up for a moment. He almost looks ready to run away but with a sigh he instead would look the group head on. Something changed in his expression as the once cowardice is replaced with a serious grimace.
Fear: "If we keep going. You'll all die. I'm not just saying that either. There is no happy endings here. We ran out of those a long time ago. Don't you get it? You can't just make a happy ending. There's no joy left to make one with."
You kidding? You think we can't make a happy ending? That everything here is just confined to some sort of unhappy fate? We've been manufacturing a happy ending the whole time we're here.
Gamma turns away from the others and back to Fear, funny how much he used to worry about it.
No matter, he gives Fear an almost mocking smirk, before slowly stepping towards him, still behind many of the others of course, but at least keeping himself well-visible
So what? If we don't keep going we'll die. If we do, we might die. Seems like a pretty obvious choice to me. If I had to choose between living a drawn-out, painful tragic end, or a quick, heroic one trying to make things better. Well, a while back I'd have chosen the slow one, as you're no doubt aware. But runing from a problem doesn't really solve it.
Then do you suppose we just go back? I have a world I want to liberate that isn't filled with emptiness. As lovely as this place is, it's more a vacation spot, not a permanent residence.
I'm making my own happy ending, even if I have to die doing so. If I have to go through you, that's fine with me, you know?

PK tilts his head at Tatsuya, made from him? What does that mean?

PK then notices Gamma step out, completely oblivious until he announces himself and looking quite surprised

PK then turns to fear and tries to place a hand on his shoulder before speaking once again

Gamma turns to Takeno and sighs. He focuses for a moment, allowing for a flash of Shiranui to be seen, but doesn't hold it, rather not tire himself needlessly

Tatsuya mutters the word to himself with a vaguely disgusted tone, he's not exactly sure that letting Chaos live would be smart. But, he'll do it anyway if the fucker really claims he wants to change. Interrupting his thoughts, however, is Fear whinging about how something can't possibly be done.
"I don't know about a happy ending or whatever, but I'll see this through to the fucking end no matter what, Fear. After all..."
He sticks his hands in his pockets and smirks at the Shadow in front of them.
"I don't believe in heroes or anything like that, but I am trying to make things a bit better. No matter how pointless our efforts are in the end, I don't care so long as it can least help things now!"
Fear seems to simply give in to the resolve of everyone's words. He sees little choice but to allow them to take the next trial. He begins to walk away to hide his face from everyone's view.
"Alright, I want to go somewhere specific then...Just one last time."
Fear would begin walking to the nearby park of this area. This would be the final battleground for any future fights. Across the park would be a bridge leading across a large body of water. The tower could now be seen on the other side in full view. It seemed to expand high into the sky to the point where the top could be seen. A square like building structure at its base as well.
The park itself had a view dead tree that were few and far in-between. Other than that all the grass was dead and a small pond rested on one side of the park. Benches were also scattered along a small path running all the way through the park.
Take would quietly follow along, twirling her blade-like thread in one hand and restlessly patting her gun's holster with the other. She'd glance at the others, specifically Tatsuya and Gamma, giving a grin.
"Nice to see some friendly faces around here. Seems I'm finally seeing constants in this wacky-ass place we live in."
Gamma glances back at Kotori, wouldn't expect someone so young to be agreeing with him....
Then he notices how much she seems to be struggling and sighs, slowly walking towards her
I... Seem to have missed something, that's definitely the energy you had last we met. Call me Gamma, if you will.... *sigh* I know I said something about dying trying, but there are still limits to that.... Here.
When Gamma gets to Kotori, he would stand next to her, offering his shoulder

Tatsuya hangs around the middle of the group, not exactly like he can hope to be on point when PK is existing anyways. Thanks to listening fairly closely however, he'd overhear Kotori and Gamma and decide to chime in himself.
"Don't be so down on yourself dammit, not a dammed thing is set in stone in a madhouse like the one we're in, so I'm sure you can overcome your limits Kotori! Oh and don't be sure of not needing you Gamma."
Tatsu turns backward and stares the young man in the eyes for a moment, flames dancing inside them as he speaks.
"These things get stronger the more guilt Chaos has for them, or at least that's my guess. It's the only way that Kotori's and Senri's being as strong if not stronger than me makes any sense honestly... Given who PK is, well I'm expecting trouble out here."
With that he'd turn back to the front again and simply stare at the tower with a curious look on his face. Haruko might well be right, but hopefully not given how much of a pain such a place could be.
She speaks with Gamma as he helps her along
Oh.... uhh.... that's because I can't swim..... and that last fight was underwater......
As for my fighting....
I don't have much magic, and I'm not good at using it anyway.... so I mostly just enchant my sword and myself.... then.... well, my only other option is to rush then down.... I got just me and a Sword..... not much else I can do than try to overwhelm with aggression....
"Quite villain-ish indeed! I'm kind of excited. That or mortally terrified. One or the other! Point being, I doubt he's going to greet us kindly, so let's make the safe assumption and get ready for a fight."
Take, lowered her snowboarding goggles over her eyes, brushing her purple hair out of its straps.
"Let's get ready Lotan..."

Can I tell you a secret? I can't swim either. Lived in a forest, only body of water for miles was a lake that was too dirty to swim in anyways. So I never got around to it.
Gamma looks forward and waves to Tatsuya with his free hand while shouting

Finally, he turns back to Kotori and shakes his head, doesn't sound like someone with a disadvantage
If you're so weak then you should really focus on improving that. Rushing head-on is a privilege only the strong can have. I've never really been that special, so I have to fight smart. Though only having any skill with close-combat somewhat limits your abilities, there's quite a lot of finesse to be had there. I'd suggest talking to Kazuya if you find him, brown hair, fancy computer on his shoulder. He's kinda a CQC expert. 'Course, I'm a bit of a coward. Always stay well away from the fight myself

Fear stops in the middle of the park before beginning breath heavily. He begins sweating as he look directly at PK specifically. His hands are visibly shaking as if terrified of the knight for one reason or another.
"I...I...I don't think...ha...hehehehe..."
He begins laughing hysterically for a moment his eyes clearly fearful of what's to come.
"A-alright, I'm fine now, sorry. I was just thinking. No matter what I say you'll all still do this but...what's coming is...terrifying. I-I don't want to say goodbye. I don't want this awful game to end. No doubt in my mind. You'll all see and feel it. There's no avoiding it...I guess, what I'm trying to say here is...Are you ready."
Chaos would extend a hand out to PK. He was still visibly shaking but whatever happens when PK grabs a hold of the figure's hand would no doubt have some greater affect on the world than any could imagine.
PK smiles a bright smile, staring into fear with a strong conviction, nothing will stand between this Knight and helping another person! Slapping his hand into Fear's hand and grasping it with force
I'm ready! More then ever! I doubt anything will stop me!
So.......what ta do..
A bright light would illuminate the entire area. Not just PK but everyone would be enveloped by the light spreading out from fear. Through the light tears begin falling from Fear's eyes as he accepts PK's hand.
"For what it's worth, I really am sorry. This is goodbye for now."
Fear's form would begin dissolving with the light as everyone's vision and senses were filled with a vision. This vision seems more real than any of the others.
The scene shows an image of Chaos inside an abandoned warehouse. The sounds of panic would be heard in the background as He stands there. He seems unsure of himself as he stares at his hands. A past PK would walk into the warehouse. The real PK would feel this vision more strongly than the others as he seems to be looking from the eyes of the past PK.
"Who're you? I don't want to be bugged so you can just leave."
What the hell is going on....
But how do you improve your natural strength when the most you can do is lift your finger? I mean, I guess I COULD try doing that, but then I'd be an adult by the time I could stand, by that time, everyone else is so far ahead there's no point in even trying, I'd never catch up....
The only thing I can imagine would push my limits would be growing my Mana pool, but that in of itself is a problem....
So as far as I can see..... all I can do is train my sword skills....
And maybe get a ranged weapon.....
She looks down, obviously in a lot of thought

PK smiles and runs up to Chaos, yelling out and holding a plate of pancakes

Chaos would look at PK with annoyed eyes. He seems completely uninterested in the pancakes as he simply glares coldly at PK.
"I'm not interested in things like that. I don't even have a use for food anymore. This world's energy is enough to sustain me now.
Also, are you really sure it'd do any good talking to me? You've probably already figured it out but I'm not exactly the friendliest of people."

PK then takes a seat next to Chaos, munching on his pancakes while he speaks with his mouth full of food

Chaos seems to just look into an empty space with a cold indifference in his eyes. It's far to late for him to make amends now.
"Suspicious of me? They have a right to be. but...it's better this way. The world will soon be liberated. That's who I am, the one who will free this world from it's suffering.
I don't need friends for my goal. I'll just have to put them down in the end anyway."
He would walk over to a nearby wall before placing his hand on it. Through his hand he could already feel himself fusing with the world. The Nexus core attached to his blade at his side was resonating with energy.

Gamma turns back to Kotori and sighs, the kid doesn't quite seem to get it
It doesn't really matter how strong you are, if you're weak like I am, there's only one option really.
Continue improving your swordplay, that will certainly help, but you can't be afraid to do whatever it takes. Even if sometimes your actions would be deemed cowardly or distrustworthy, anything to allow yourself to move forward.
He looks up at the ongoing conversation and shakes his head, poor PK, and we haven't even gotten started yet.

Basically, yes. If you really think you're weak, then rather than trying to overpower people, you work around them. For example, throwing dust in someone's eyes. Cheap, yes. Not really that effective either, but the point being you've sort of been holding yourself back by insisting on straightforward, honorable fighting. Best way to beat someone stronger than you is to surprise them. And so, you can't afford to be predicatable
PK lights up at the prospect, almost tripping with excitement, he might be turning someone who is kinda evil to the good side!

PK then sits himself down on the floor, trying not to be overly excited and explode in metaphorical syrup
Chaos almost seems empathetic as he speaks. His words are calm in collected but he doesn't seem to take any time to slow down and clarify his words.
"Unfortunately, suffering plagues this world. It's corrupting this world at its very core and soon it will be too much for this world to bare any longer and everyone will be lost to the endless void that is despair.
There's only one way to fix such a fate and that is to kill everyone in this world."
Chaos' smile seems to die down and his face grows more serious and solemn.
"Don't worry, they aren't really dying. When this is all over they'll come back. Every last one of them will be back free of the despair that plagues the world but they all have to die first. You understand what I'm saying, right?
If you really want to help me, then you can help by dying..."

But fighting something like these monsters.... you can't exactly "Fight dirty" against these things.... especially when all you have is a sword.....
PK's expression seems to contort and twist as he listens to Chaos, however when he's done PK stands up and nods, losing his previous spark and drive
Well I'm sure you know what your doing! If you can save everyone then I will gladly help in any way I can! We are friends! And friends would never lie to each other! I am ready for anything!
PK then puts his arms to the side, leaving to resistance for any strike, leaving him completely vunerable
Against monsters you don't fight dirty, you fight smart. They're usually not as intelligent as a person, so you have to be more observant and learn how they work. *shrug* Of course, you can't fight everything, sometimes all you can do is run. There's no shame in that. Whatever is necessary to succeed.
Wish I could give better advice than that, but it really changes depending on the person and the situation, you just need to keep a level head and do your best.

I guess, when you're surrounded by so many powerful people, it's hard to remember there's more to strength than power.....
But pushing my limits isn't a bad idea too, right? Try to get stronger either way?
Chaos would take the blade out of it's sheathe and slowly walk up to PK. The blade begins to coat itself in a strange dark energy. Without any hesitation he would thrust the blade into PK's chest as the dark energy would work to destroy PK's body from witnin before removing the blade by swiftly pulling it out.
He then moved back a little as he looked PK directly in the eyes.
"I'm sorry but I lied. There is no more hope for the people here. Their all full of despair and the only way to free this world is through all their deaths. That's how you achieve paradise. I didn't even think you'd believe that lie I told...if only we'd met before I fused with the core of this world. We may have actually been friends."
Getting stronger is always helpful... But...

Let me put it this way, there's more than one kind of strength. There's actual, physical strength, magical strength. Those two are self-explanatory. Then there's mental strength, or cleverness. How good one is at thinking on their feet. Useful a lot of the time, just not as straightforward. Then there's strength of will or determination. The will to keep moving through your struggles, no matter how hard it may seem.
If I were to guess, your strength is the last kind. If you're only gonna have one, I'd much prefer it to be determination, given enough time you'll probably outpace me at least
PK doesn't react, allowing himself to get struck down without any struggling, falling to one knee when Chaos takes the blade out,
looking up at him with a pained smile, innocent, trying to speak through pained gasps
Heh..! T-That's a good joke! E-everybody.. everybody can be redeemed... even the most evilest of villains... y-you don't mean to destroy this world... do you..? Tell me... tell me I'm wrong!
PK then falls flat on the ground, scrambling over and trying to grab Chaos by the leg and stare at him from the ground, PK tries to put on a smile, but it comes out pained and wrong
Y-you wouldn't lie to me...! Y-your my friend! You said so yourself!
At this point PK's pulse is faint, bleeding a pool of blood where Chaos hit him, he's only got a few mere moments left
Yeah, but that's all I have....
Out of the four "Strengths"
I have the least useful when it comes to fighting....
I mean, changing my strategy is a good plan.
But it's practically impossible for me to improve the first two....
Heck, I have to give up magic strength for physical strength.....
Chaos seems to struggle to look down at PK. He didn't understand why he was still struggling to find some good in him. For a moment something seem to break in Chaos eyes. A gleam of red flashes before they re-solidify to a vibrant yellow.
"Just die already. I...I'm not good. There's nothing good left about me!!"
Chaos would try to back away from PK's grasp as he grabs at his own head.
"I've...I've already given up on this world. There's no point anymore. I lied...I...I told you, there's no good left in me..."
Gamma sighs and shakes his head
You don't need the first three if you've got the last. Or rather, the most important part is patience.... *sigh* I'm not so good at explaining this. Do you think that you can get yourself somewhere safe when the inevitable fight starts so I can try to demonstrate? I don't think I'm explaining it very well, but to prove a point, I'll try going one without magic at all. Besides, its a good exercise.
PK struggles to speak back to Chaos, living on a thread of life as he tries to muster up the last reserves of energy
I don't think that's right...! E-everybody has the capacity to... to change... you just need a push.. in the right direction... e-even the most heartless.. of villains can.. can.. grow.... a... heart.....
With the last word said, PK closes his eyes, breathing one last time as his pulse stops. No longer breathing. No longer moving.
