Homura stares at the girl in shock, letting Mami-senpai die? What in the fuck happened that she'd... No, not even going to think about that, it's fairly clear however, that Sayaka Miki is entirely clueless as to what's happening in the Nexus. She looks back up and adjusts her glasses, voice coming out clear once more.
"Sayaka-chan... Um how exactly do I put this, you have figured out this isn't our home by now right? I'm guessing from the sounds of it you only just got here but... I've been in this city for a few months now actually, Madoka has too, showed up a few days after I did."
She sighs and and holds a hand up, aiming to quiet the incoming outburst of how this isn't possible and all those other things.
"And as for letting Mami-senpai die? I've never done anything like that, which brings me to my second point actually... This place pulls people in from all kinds of worlds and times, so if I were to guess then "me" is in fact someone rather different in your world."
Upon hearing Kyoko's name however, she'd actually grow a bit annoyed with Sayaka's statement.
"And please don't call Kyoko that, I realize she's done some less than good things. But she's not as bad as you seem to think, and there's a reason behind the way she acts so just leave it alone."
And finally upon being asked what she has to gain... She'd simply smile and shrug, what more is there to gain than just being around Madoka anyways?
"Also, I'm not trying to convince her of anything... She's just a good friend, and I'll do whatever I can to help her so um I'm really not sure what you mean? I really don't want anything from her beyond just... Well, I like seeing her happy is all, seems pretty normal to me?"
Upon Kotori drawing her blade however, Homura would stand in front of her friend and make a lowering motion with her left hand, still keeping the right one inside of pocket and ready to call up her Persona.
"And Kotori-chan please don't make things escalate! It's nice to see you'll stick up for me but... I really don't want this to get ugly, Sayaka-chan is Madoka's friend so um fighting her is kinda outta the question."
