I'm actually really happy with where most of my characters are right now.
Shinji's more relaxed, calmed down, consistent. And I've stopped playing him up as a know-it-all, and I'm letting him admit that he's not as much of a badass as I want him/he wants to be. I SHOULD have started him as someone who's currently studying different magics, rather than someone who HAS studied other magics, So I've sorta retconned that part. Now if only he could stop worrying about his girlfriend
Nanaka, I'm ok with, I need to figure out an explanation for her reboot rather than just "AU Nanaka!" But If it comes to that, I'll take it. I need to bring her back to the person she was supposed to be, rather than what she's become. Also, I love her new sword.
Stella..... I'm not sure where I'm going with her. Might just make her static. Its her battle system that intrigues me the most really.
And Finally Kotori. I absolutely love where she's going. I originally planned for her to be this "Super energetic Psychopath" but actually using her has vastly changed how she acts. I like how her quest for strength actually helps her enter different plotlines that my other characters wouldn't be dumb enough to enter, I enjoy her development from a naive, battle obsessed, social lone wolf into a somewhat more normal girl thanks to the friends she's made. As for her battle system, It's really fun, and somewhat frustrating. She's weak and extremely limited, so winning battles and figuring out how she can actually do damage/be useful is very difficult, but it kinda helps me connect to her character in a way, and it gives me the motivation to want the same goal as her, Get stronger, learn new strategies and so on. It also encourages me to be more descriptive in battles.
So of all my characters, I'm happiest with Kotori and Shinji. And I can't wait to see how they develop. And Kotori can't wait to have fun with her new Magical girl friends. And maybe become one herself
