An Unknown Variable
A low sigh echoed around the Velvet Room as a teen with pale blonde hair and golden eyes laid back with his hands under his head, a flimsy bed was still a bed no less and he felt as if he would be around for a while. He had to admit, the clothes were tacky as hell and got on his nerves, he was more of a black hoodie kind of guy over the black and white stripped garbage he had been forced into, which also led into the reason he was there in the first place, some kids had knocked him out because he looked like what they had said was a Shadow, after an explanation they managed to explain that a Shadow was basically someones true self and seemed to feed off of someones repressed thoughts. It did take a while to convince them that he was not what they called a Shadow, but they had apologized and offered to return him to where he was, something that he denied quite quickly, this Velvet Room was easily the only play he could relax in for once instead of dealing with people stopping him to chat or trying to kill him for things he didn't do, such was the life for someone marked as the bad guy everywhere he went, he chalked it up to his odd looks that caused most people to believe such things. Shaking his thoughts from his head he groaned and sat up, his eyes focusing on the odd man sitting at the desk before him, Igor, a weird man, creature thing? It was odd, that's all it was, he reminded him of a leprechaun, but also an elf, meaning he was just terrible to look at. [Ah... Sataki I believe? Are you ready to return to your world?] "I dunno Igor, do you think someone will come along soon? Wouldn't mind hitching a ride to a new city~" [I do not know. Might I inquire as to how you haven't awoken?] "Buddy, I'm awake right now, what are you going on about?" [Do not worry, it will be revealed in due time...] Before Sataki could respond something odd happened, an odd sound, the kids had explained it to him before, the arrival sound was different for each person, but would stay as that sound whenever someone appeared within the Velvet Room, to Sataki, it sounded like a churches bell was pounding within his head, coursing through his body as he shot up from the bed, quickly using the wall as a crutch of sorts, it didn't hurt, but it was not comfortable, but he'd just have to wait and find out who or what appeared from the outside world, it truly did interest him. [Ah, you have returned.] (End) (Sorry if it is inadequate, never roleplayed Persona before)
(Ah, a new member? Welcome to Hell! All jokes aside, it's nice to have you here. I'm Cait, although you'll probably see me hopping about on one of my multiple alts. I'd rp, but sleep approaches. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!)
(Hello Cait! Nice to meet you as well. I will do so in the future if I have any questions!)
A young man with tired looking eyes would step into the Velvet room. He had been here before but this specific layout for the room was new to him. He would look around slightly irritated at the new layout and would simply sigh as he began calling out. “Igor? Are you here? Its me, Quintus! I have more questions!”
[Ah, Quintus, apologies for the current decorations, the prisoner in the cell besides yours was here first.] Igor's response was almost immediate as the cell door that held Quintus back slid open with a buzz, if one were to look, the prison design that the Velvet Room had taken was moor akin to a Maximum Security Prison, nevertheless the new arrival would now be free to move around with his own free will. [What questions do you have for me?] "Oh? You playing twenty questions?" A mask seemed to form over Sataki's lower face to block out his talking as Igor rubbed the crook of his nose in annoyance, before Quintus had arrived Sataki had drifted in and out of talking at random times just to annoy the odd looking man. [Please, continue.]
Quintus would give Sataki a almost suprised glance. He hadn't really expected someone else to be here. Regardless he assumed it had just been a new arrival or something of that origin. He hardly believed he was the only one with access to the velvet room considering he had seen others with the wildcard power around. He would turn his attention back to Igor as he stepped out of the cell. "Well, my persona seems to have changed but just slightly. I guess I kinda want to know why that is. The majority of the changed are that it got a little bigger and it has fruit going from the branches now. Is there some kind of meaning behind this? I guess I also am a little curious who that other guy is. Are they some newer guest or somerhing?"
With not much fanfare or even a greeting, a silver-haired boy enters the Velvet Room. A small black snake head- not a demon but not exactly a Persona- pokes its head out of the sleeve of his uniform. "This must be the Velvet Room I've heard Wild Cards can access. Took a bit of coaxing to open the door, but nothing's impossible for-" The snake pauses, finally noticing the others. "And in our first visit, here are two other guests! Lucky us, Aoi!" (This is one of the Cait alts I mentioned earlier. It seems I have time after all.)

[A structural change in ones Persona can often extend from either the user evolving emotionally or by a small chance, the Persona finding a reason to adapt to something unknown, I am not quite used to peoples Personas changing outside of the Sacrificial Way.] At the mention of Sataki, Igor would turn to look at the pale haired teen who was watching them intently with his golden eyes, said eyes seemed to glow when Sataki noticed Igor's gaze directed at him. Igor sighed and turned towards Quintus and began to speak calmly. [This is Sataki, a straggler that Justine and Caroline found. Apparently, from what I understand, they assumed he was a Shadow due to how bright his golden eyes were at night, so they knocked him out and for some unknown reason brought him here of all places.] Sataki began waving while pointing at his covered mouth, catching on quickly Igor snapped his fingers and allowed the mask to fade away, a buzzing was heard again as the prison outfit clad teen walked out of his cell and stretched. "Whats up? Name's Sataki ishida, heard your name Quintus... Oh! Also, the hells a Persona?" [Seems another Guest has entered the Velvet Room, welcome.] "Oh man! Another one!"
Quintus was a bit astonished to hear that someone didn't know what a Persona was. In truth though he had a bit of advantage in that regard since even when he first arrived in the Nexus he at very least remembered the rough idea behind a Persona. "In the velvet room but no idea what a persona is...that's definitely strange. Is there a reason your eyes are like that? I mean, I can sympathize with unexplained weird traits, though I guess I shouldn't say weird if that eye glowing thing is natural. Uh, anyway, nice to meet you. Should I tell you what a Persona is or was Igor getting around to it?"
"Well, you see, a Persona is a manifestation of one's inner self-" The snake is cut off again, this time by Aoi himself. "To put it simply, it's a being you summon. It's kind of like... summoning a representation of yourself to fight. Hard to understand, but it's more comprehensible than what Typhoeus was saying," Aoi explains, adjusting the weight of his bag on his shoulder. The snake, Typhoeus, huffs. "Stealing my lecture..."
"Glowing? My eyes Glow? Huh... that's a new one." [I had no plans on telling him what a Persona was until the awakened.] There was no possibility of arguing in Igor's tone, well, it wouldn't have been argued if Aoi hadn't gone about explaining it, his wish to allow the new potential to find out about his new strength when it Awoke rather than explain it to him outright was now gone, as he had seen, some of the strongest Persona users had been the ones thrusted into the field with no prior knowledge, it seemed sudden fear breeds true talent in some cases. "Come on man, Summoning? Representation of Myself? You are talking as if we were anime characters!" [You will find out soon enough, also from myself, I am inclined to believe his eye color and glowing are affected by the same thing as a Shadow, yet he lacks the drastic personality change and has the capabilities of possibly awakening a persona. The fact it is currently night time supports this idea as his eyes had not been glowing earlier, but such a thing is unheard of.]
"Says the guy with glowing yellow eyes. Come on, kid. If you can see a talking snake, then the idea of a Persona ain't that hard to grasp." Typhoeus's reasoning, while... unique, seems logical to himself. He winds around Aoi's hand to get a better look at the stranger. "And I could show you one of my Personas..." Aoi begins. "Me?" "No, you barely count as one. But I guess it would be best if you got one yourself..."
Quintus would sigh as it seemed the newcomer was somewhat conflicted...with a snake? He was a little freaked out by the talking snake mostly because of the people earlier who had claimed some golden serpent was cooling around him when he didn't see or feel anything but he supposed even that wasn't the strangest thing he had seen in this past week. "I don't know if Igor would want you openly summoning a Persona in the velvet room like that. Not to mention I'm sure he had his reasons for not explaining anything...just like how that masked guy didn't explain anything to me...and then...Igor are you sure not explaining things is the best method?"
[While not the best method for others, I believe with someone who survived so long on his own... It would be the best method.] "No seriously, the hell are you guys going on about? How are my eyes glowing? They don't glow!" Sataki yelled out as he turned towards his cell, it had a mirror on the wall he could use to check, but as his eyes met the cell door it seemed to slam shut with a hefty clang, his glowing eyes narrowed as he turned back to Igor and leveled him with a stare. "If my eyes are glowing, the hell happened to me?" [That depends, how long have you had golden eyes?] 'Why does he want to know about that?' Confusion was evident on the teens face as he looked down at the ground in confusion, confusion became horror as his eyes focused solely on the ground, suddenly the Prison they were in flickered out of existence and became a house, but the house was caught in an endless loop of collapsing in random areas and burning, a cold sweat took over Sataki's body as a look of understanding took over Igor's features. [There's the answer on when you gained them.] Stuck within the endless loop was the a man with golden eyes that shone brighter than Sataki's own, a gas canister in his hands while a match box hung from a string in his pockets, at his feet was the body of a female with vibrant blonde hair with emerald eyes protecting a child which held the same features bar for his flickering gold and emerald eyes. [A Persona users Shadow, but it does not explain Sataki's eyes too well nor does it give any hints as to why he doesn't act any different than he is now.] [On another note... as you know, the Velvet Room is a representation of ones inner self, why did it become a Prison, but them turn into this burning house?] "I..." [You hid away within the confines of the lies spread across your life, all the false crimes and hatred gave you shackles that you never deserved, but in truth, you used those shackles to hide away your scars... the Truth.] "...." [So your true Velvet Room is a house bathed in chaos...]
(A 7'3 man walks in) ayyyy
"Well, no matter. I'm not needed, and you still need to get home, so we should leave, yes?" At Typhoeus's words, Aoi nods and exits. On his way out, the snake narrows his eyes at the newcomer. "Do try to have some tact. The kid's having a rough time right now, and that's part of the reason Aoi and I are giving him some space." (and goodnight, everyone)

Ayyyy, I'm here now, yay
Quintus would looks round the house. The image discomforts him a good deal as he knew what reliving painfully memories was like. He knew such a thing all too well. He would look at Sataki with sympathy as he began speaking gently. "Look, I know things can be scary sometimes. Uncertainty is probably one of the most terrifying things to confront but accepting it also leads to a type of freedom that let's people live freely. I'm not exactly sure what kind of situation you're in but I can promise you I'll help you see it through no matter what it may be. Call it stupid but I understand all to well what it's like to not understand yourself. It took a lot of effort for me to even get to where I am today."

Ayyyyyyyy, guy with the Norse tree...
[I think it is best to send him back, but he seemed interested in following another person through their exit... He wishes to find a new city.] Sataki had listened to Quintus's words, his fear slowly ebbing away into regret, then finally settling on... calmness, something that didn't fit the teens normally wide smile. "Didn't think my inner self hated me enough to torture me... but I did force it to sleep for ages... about what you said Quintus, thanks, I've lived alone all my live, so suddenly having someone say what you said makes me feel as if I can accept a small part of mys- gurk..." [Oh? Does he have you at a loss for wo-] A cry, in an instant, screams of pain echoed around the Velvet Room, the flames wavering ever so slightly despite being a loop as Sataki fell to the ground gripping his head as his mind and body shook with pain, it felt as though his entire being was being torn apart as something echoed within his mind, something only he could hear, Igor understood the moment the cry left his lips, the table he normally sat at disappeared and he backed away a few paces. {A poor soul... Seen to the world as evil, having been wronged by your own kind, thy name bares a black mark seen only by you upon the red dashes set upon you by others with false acclaim, tell me, do you wish to heal? Do you wish to find yourself whole? While also leading others to the truth?} "M-Me? Heal others? Such a role does not befit me..." {Incorrect, you are worthy of the healer, a man who can be wounded, but heals others, yet you are stronger, I can sense it, much like others you may meet... One of my kind is not enough, now please, I beg of you, speak my name.} "I-I... TITANIA!" {I am Thou, Thou art I, you who has been painted in black and wish for nothing but to heal, I grant you your wish and allow you to bring me forth at your behest, for present and future, I will be your first of many, your Empress.} In a moment the flames around the house blew away and from the females body on the floor emerged an Elven Queen, her green dress embroiled with golden cloth fit well with her unearthly looks, long pointed ears peeked out from beneath beautiful golden hair while soft green eyes looked around the room, focusing on Sataki as he spoke before moving to Quintus. {Finally, you have gained the strength to move on, I pray you can keep your words child, you gave him this will, so you must see to it that he doesn't lose it.} [Welcome to the Velvet Room, Empress.] "Huh? W-What?' {I must leave for now, the impish man will explain.} [Welcome, despite your inner world, your crimes are present, so I guess your parole starts from here, absolve yourself of false sins from here on, I pray you pick a decent name like those other brats, Joker was a good choice after all.] The world once again became a Prison, this symbolized the most simple thing, moving on, especially for someone willing to pay the price and move forward, something Sataki, after so many years was willing to do for once.
Quintus would take a breath of relief as the room changed back to normal. He remembered his own awakening and what it meant and how that definition changed along with his own Persona as he began hiding from himself. It took a lot of changing for he himself to return to what his Persona originally stood for and even then he still felt weird helping others. "I try to stick to my word. Trying is all we can do afterall but when I say I'll try, I'll do my best. So, how does it feel to face yourself? Do you feel better now? It's always nice to take a step forward in my experience." Quintus would try to give Sataki a smile though it was clear that he wasn't used to smiling in such circumstances. Regardless he was glad to help someone find themselves and to step forward through hardship.
"I didn't know my inner self was a... girl." Sataki said lightly, a sudden awkwardness radiating from his being as he scratched his own cheek lightly, pink dusting his cheeks as he chuckled softly, the chuckle seemed different than normal, even he himself noticed, it didn't sound practiced, it sounded real. Suddenly a door appeared between them, the teen quickly spun around it as to see the the other side, on the side he had come from was his name on a golden plate, revealing that it was to lead him back to where he came from, upon seeing Quintus's name on the other plate he smiled sadly. "Seems this is goodbye."
Ayyyyy, I'm still here, and imma join y'all...cuz I can
"I guess it is for now, but it's not really goodbye as long as we don't forget about this. Bonds remain strong as long as people remember one another. So, I'll see you some other time." Quintus would extend his hand for a handshake. Despite his own reluctance to say goodbye he knew that it was at time necessary to part ways even with people who had just met.
So..y'all two are good friends orrr
"Yeah, that's right. Hey, since I'm moving cities, tell me what city you are in, we may meet there again one day." Sataki said with a smirk as he took Quintus's hand. It may take a while to get there, but he knew that he would meet the man who gave him back something he lost so long ago. Retracting his hand he waited for the answer to his question.
(Honestly Reperzel, it is about to end and well... you kind of don't fit the level of skill I normally expect when I roleplay with someone.)
Quintus for once would have trouble answering the question. The Nexus wasn't like most cities and definitely wasn't a location most would know. The easiest way to explain it would be as a distorted Tokyo but perhaps he should just tell them where he's originally from. "I'm from a small town just outside Sumari city. Well that's where I originally came from but the place I'm going back to is a bit diffrent. Anyway, I think it's time to say goodbye." Quintus would walk up to the door back to his own home. He would look back to Sataki one more time before entering. "I'm sure we'll meet again someday. We're friends now, after all." Finally He would leave through the door.
No final words were uttered from Sataki as his smirk fated into a small smile and he made his way to his side of the door, he cast a glance at the impish man seated at his desk once again before opening the door and heading back into the light. (END!) (I hope you had fun!)
