Secrets of the Corporation: The First Trumpet
The room would at first be dark with just the flickering image of Angela but suddenly the light would flicker on revealing a office of sorts. The light would center from a series of screens of varying sizes all displaying different parts of what seemed to be the building they were in as well as a variety of numbers and status bars. Kalib would find himself hear with Angela standing off to the side of the screens. She would smile at him warmly. Angela: "I apologize but you seemed to fall unconscious from the transportation procedure. It hasn't exactly been designed to accommodate none employees but I've already been alerted of the situation. I'm surprised you came of your own will. Does this mean you've thought over my offer of being manager? It would be pleasing to hear if you have." Meanwhile, Tatsuya's beacon would finally light up after a while of remaining off. It seemed that the beacon had finally picked up the signal of where Lobotomy Corp was located. Tatsuya would be free to follow the beacons single which would lead him to a abandoned looking office building standing about 30 feet tall. The front door would be unlocked and a few of the windows would be broken. Any who followed Tatsuya would find themselves here as well.
Kalib slowly looks around as he shakes off the sleep. His eyes and ears eventually begin to become more alert as they focus in on the only person he could see, Angela. He smiles sheepishly. "Well that was embarrassing... and here I thought I was used to being transported places in a flash." He grins softly before his expression becomes more serious. His brow almost furrows as he speaks. "I've seen more of those things in action Angela. And if taking you up on your offer is the only way to learn about them and this organization, then I simply must accept."
Tatsuya wakes up with a jolt and looks around his room, what in the... Oh, it's that beacon huh? Well then, the man sighs to himself and quickly prepares to head out. In a few moments, the roar of a motorcycle would be heard as he rushes off toward the location it's pointing for. "Geez, what a night to be sleeping... I guess it's about time to get this show on the road, though maybe I should try and get some more help? Well, nothing for it now except to just hope I get lucky really." As he drives up the warehouse, the wheels of his bike would grind to a halt and Tatsu stares over to the unlocked door. For now, he's simply leaning back on his bike, sword resting on his waist, and a light machine gun and some sort of odd crossbow strapped to each side of his back. After checking over his weapons, the man would begin walking around the building, checking it for any possible points of entry, traps, and other such useful info.
Naoya walks around before seeing a strange man in a red jumpsuit and a motor bike, and apparently a sword...with some other weapons. Somehow...he seems like someone his friends mentioned about one time...could this be him? He walks behind the man and taps him on the shoulder, "Um, excuse me, but...is there anything of interest here?" Naoya asks, trying to sound slightly inconspicuous.
"Eh? Oh... Uh..." Tatsuya pauses for a moment, there's something about some guy with an earring that seems oddly known to him, and he can't help but think back to Yukino, wait a damn second. Naoya Toudou? He's almost sure that's what she said his name was anyway. "You wouldn't happen to be Naoya Toudou would you? Name's Tatsuya Suou. And I'm almost sure an old friend of mine mentioned someone like you once... Though, maybe I'm just going crazy in my old age, who knows right?"
Naoya almost jumped back in surprise, but resisted this urge. This MUST be the person that Yukino mentioned a while back, in fact...he looks a bit like his description, now that he thinks about it. "Yes, I am Naoya Toudou, nice to meet you." he extended his hand forward to shake.
Angela smiles content with the response. The screens seem to focus in on the first section of the facility. The text "Control Team" would appear over this section and small humanoid icons most likely representing employees would also be in view. "Allow me to explain the duties of the manager immediately then. The manager's main duty here is to use employees to care for the monsters that we call abnormalities. When an abnormality is satisfied it will produce a certain amount of energy that will be stockpiled in our storage facility. The job of your entire department will be to meet a certain quota in order for the corporation to give you access to another department. This may seem like a strange practice but its a method of easing managers into their duties. But among other things beyond that, there are many other things that a managers job entails. Minor details here and there but I feel it'd be better to allow you to experience these things for yourself or to allow the first Sephirah in charge of this department to explain them. Do you have any questions before I introduce them to you?" Outside the building Tatsuya wouldn't find much else besides broken windows and warning signs posted all over the building. Multiple warnings about dangerous animals or biohazards would be nailed to the walls. It seemed the only way in was through the front unless he wanted to risk getting cut by the broken glass by entering through a window.
"I see then..." Tatsu would take the man's hand for a moment after he's done with that however he'd begin rubbing the back of his head and shrug to himself. Well, this guy does seem like he's likely to help. If he's who he says, then a Persona user like that would be nice to have around. "Nice to meet you as well, as to your prior question. Well, it's not something I'd tell everyone, but I guess I do need a bit of help, and you do come highly recommended when it comes to dealing with weird crap." He'd pause for a moment and sigh, of course the front is the only way in, well at least he's got a bit of backup now. At this point, Tatsu would walk up to the door and look back toward Naoya. "Word of warning though, what I'm about to do here... Isn't strictly speaking a good idea, see there are some guys called Lobotomy Corp, now this beacon I've got, well it's saying that building is a way into their place. Normally I'd be against breaking into places and all, but they kinda vanished with a friend of mine, and I haven't heard from him in... A few days, suffice to say, I can't leave it be, but it's not a great idea. And beyond that, this stuff they have in here is crazy, last time I tangled with one of their monsters it was a living doll that spread about flower petals which attack the mind directly, these things aren't anything like demons lemme tell ya." At that point, he'd open up the front door and walk through it. Advancing slowly and checking for any possible traps, along with attempting to stick to the shadows and stay quiet, it wouldn't shock him if there's a guard detail around here or something.
Kalib nods along with the woman's words until she finishes. "I can't say I think it's a strange practice at all. I'd be much too overwhelmed if I started off in charge of more than a fraction." He crosses his arms as he stops talking. His eyes close briefly as he considers what questions he should ask. After a few moments, he opens his eyes and nods. "I do have a few questions. Are the staff aware of the risks associated with these creatures? Did the staff here choose to work here willingly? And what's a Sephirah?" He goes through a mental checklist in his head before nodding again. "That should be it, Angela!"
(A 7'3 snake centipede hybrid jumps up, and shakes his head) Ohhhh......how drunk did I get this time..? (He then looks around, and notices tatsuya) hm?, oh, AY, TATS! (He then slithers to tats, and looks at the giant building) ...what the fuuuuuck (He then shakes his head very fast this time) Not...notta dream... ....well, like every bad horror movie, let's go in (He then slithers into the building)

Tatsu sighs as Rep yells... Well, at least the man can't die, and he's willing to throw down. Keeping him from going over the top with attacks at a moment's notice though, this will be rather tough. "Rep, keep quiet would ya? I was trying to sneak, but if there are any guards around here we've lost the element of surprise instantly. Now, as for where this is, I believe you've had run ins with Lobotomy Corp before yes? We are about to go into the belly of that beast, so stay on your toes."
(He immediately stops at the door when tatsuya talks to him, and says) Yes...once or twice..or three...they may have thought I was a "abnormality" or something, and captured me, soooo, yeah?
"Alright." Naoya nods before turning to Rep, who just arrived, "uh, who's he? I have no idea whom this guy is." Naoya whispered, trying not to alert anyone in the building.

Angela would smile happy to see Kalib is taking an interest in the company. She would nod before answering each question in turn. "I assure you that our staff is both willing and aware of all risk associated with the abnormalities and the facility. Believe it or not, there's thousands of potential applicants who want to work at this company. It's considered a well-paying job and high-rank job. As for what a Sephirah is I should have explained that more appropriately. First of all, know that not only am I an AI but I am the ultimate AI capable of feeling and thinking in the same way a person would. The Sephirah are AI as well but despite how they may act and seem they don't really think or feel in the same way you or I would. They may seem like convincing people but that's only the way they are programmed to behave. With that fact out of the way, the Sephirah are here to help you manage each of your departments. I run the facility as a whole but the Sephirah help run each department individually. With those questions answered, I'll allow the first of the Sephirah to greet you. I have other manners I must address as well. If you'll excuse me, Manager." With that done Angela would proceed to leave the office, leaving Kalib int he room with a desk and the monitors. There would be a keyboard and mouse at the desk to manage the facility remotely. At this point, he would have the chance to possibly look anything over while nobody is around. Despite Tatsuya's worries nobody would seem to be guarding the building. It would be mostly empty with a few scientific documents that would be hard to decipher and some broken picture frames with ruined old photos of what seemed to be a research team. In the middle of the series of offices and labs, there would be a hatch covered by a rusty, old lock. A warning sign larger than the others would be mounted over the hatch seeming to hint at the area being private property.
Tatsuya grins and walks over toward the rusty hatch, that's their ticket into this mess, isn't it? He'd look the thing over, seems like the lock has been rusted a great deal... Upon noting that, the man pulls his blade out and slams it into the thing, he'd then quickly stow the weapon, and if he broke off the lock would open the hatch and begin climbing down. "Alright then, this is where we go from possible threats to 100% chance of them. Be on your guard, and let's try not to kill anyone... Despite my willingness to do so if forced, I really don't want this to result in violence at all, let alone deaths."
Kalib stands in silence as his questions are answered. Good, people aren't being forced to their deaths. However it's the next bit that catches him off guard. He could've guessed that Angela was something else, but never could he have imagined a perfect AI. He laughs to himself as soon as Angela is gone. "Kalib...you need to stop getting involved with virtual girls. Hehe!" With the room now all to himself, he quickly begins examining his surroundings for cameras. Should he find there aren't any, he would begin searching around the room and peeking into drawers. Otherwise, he'd sit at the computer and look over the display.
(He would look around at the beat up small laboratory, mostly at The pictures) Hm...unlucky bastards I tell ya.. (He then flinch's a small cuz of the slice to the door) OH SWEET JESUS....oh god...my heart...ohhh
Naoya calmly obliges and would climb down after Tatsuya if the hatch opened, "Don't worry, I'm already used to this stuff from the begining." he said as he climbed down after Tatsuya. The problem being here is not really how much strength they'll need to fight if needed, but dealing with humans, let alone monsters, the damage a Persona could deal is massive to a normal human being. If they aren't careful enough, they could easily kill.

BK steps up the area hunched over, twitching with his fingers as he watches from afar. They wouldn't let him just come along, no no no, They would tell him to go home. To shut up about everything. They couldn't understand... So PK hides nearby, waiting for the group to continue I am coming... I am coming... They try to suppress the truth. But I'm righteous. People must know!
(edited by Pancake_Knight)
There would be no cameras in the office watching Kalib. It seemed that while they monitored people's positions within the facility there was nothing monitoring what exactly they were doing. Around the room, Kalib wouldn't find much besides an empty mini-fridge and the chair he was sitting at. Some of the drawers would be locked but the top-right draw would be openable. Inside was a small journal and pen. The journal would be empty save for a few entries that were numbered strangely. The entries for each number would also seem nonsensical at best. Looking at the display he would see that in the Control Team he'd have around four employees with varied looks. Apart from the rooms with the employees, there would be two hallways leading to rooms with question marks over them. Just as he begins observing the details of the screen a shorter woman with short brown hair and eyes would walk into the office holding a clipboard. She wore a black suit with a red tie and had a hair band of a similar color. On her shoulder was also an armband with an M embroidered on it. She would smile at Kalib before beginning to speak. Malkuth: "Hello, Manager! I'm Malkuth and starting today I'll be helping you oversee the Control Team as its leader. The two abnormalities will be brought in shortly for you to begin your duties. Now, I'd like you to keep an eye on the display." On the display suddenly an option would emerge showing the details of an employee. Most of the information would be vague at the moment but each employee seemed to have a different set of skills that were assessed during some kind of test. Malkuth: "Now, there are four different work types you can order an employee to partake in. How well and what the employee does is based on a certain value we test them on. The four values an employee has are fortitude/health, prudence/mental health, temperance/self-control, and justice/combat experience. Most of the employee in the Control team aren't very good at any of these things but the abnormalities don't have very high requirements compared to other departments either so it all balances out. Anyway, the four types of work are as follows respectively to match with each value: Instinct/doing what comes naturally, insight/thinking things through, attachment/acting based on emotion, and repression/using violence. Please keep these in mind when giving an employee and order. The abnormalities you'll be dealing with first are O-03-03 and O-01-45. If you have any more questions I'll be here to answer them!" Unknowinglly to Malkuth on Kalib's personal monitor an image would show up. It showed a cartoonish image of Tatsuya, Pancake Knight, Rep, and Naoya's head. It seemed to indicate that they were in the facility and it also seemed that Kalib could type out messages to them through a monitor stationed in the hall they were in. Tatsuya and those with him would easily break the lock and gain entry into a dark hallway with dim lights on the walls. Ahead of him would be three doors. Two of them seemed to be labeled as leading to containment cells on either side while the one at the end of the hall would have a monitor set up with a small message icon blinking in the corner of the screen.
(As he slithers into the hallway, he notices the doors, and sighs) Sigh...guess we'd be going our sepret ways..for now.. So....who's gonna take who's door?
"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Malkuth! I look forward to working with you!" He flashes the woman a warm smile as he mulls over her words for a few moments. Alright, simple enough. Each employee and abnormality is unique. Seems simple enough. "Ummm, about those two abnormalities... do they have names? I'm not great at remembering codes like that, ehehe..." By now he'd turn his attention back to the screen and notice the chibi parade of familiar faces. Had there been a beverage nearby he probably would've done a spit take. Noticing what seemed like a spot he could type, he covertly attempts to contact Tatsuya. "What happened to, not provoking hostility? I said I would be fine Tatsu!"
Tatsuya shakes his head. Going their ways? Not in a place like this, splitting up would be foolhardy when they have so little info. "I wouldn't suggest spliting up right now. When does that plan ever go well? No, we barely even know anything, we have no clue how many foes there are, or what kind of beings lurk in this place. Stick with each other for now, it's only gonna get worse from here on." With that, the man begins walking off toward the monitor... For some reason he doesn't like the message icon, but he'll still take a look at the thing anyway. It's unlikely to be a trap, but who even knows? Upon seeing Kalib's message, however, he'd attempt to find a way to reply, worst case he just sends a text. "Long story short, but Jack kinda asked me to come in here... Gave me a beacon for some reason, said it would give me a way in when the time was right. I don't know what he was thinking, but I trust him more than anyone else we met there."
(edited by Tatsuya)
BK enters in after the party and frowns upon seeing only 2 doors, where was everyone else? Wasn't there suppose to be more people? Frowning he dashes from corner to corner, trying to hide in the shadows from imaginary camaras as he approaches the monitor and tries tapping on the icon I know you are there! Always watching.. Always listening! Big Brother is always watching your back... So respond! Now! No use hiding from me! I know all of your tricks! When the message appears however BK hops back and watches from afar, not like he can read, reading is for sheeple. That's how they get to you. With words.
Eh, makes sense, the camera door it is then! (He then slithers where tatsuya is going, and looks at the moniter) Ay, yo, whoever ya are, this is for ya (He then flips whoever it is one the monitar, the bird, and continues following tatsuya) .....just hope that camera works...
(edited by Reperzel)
Upon further inspection the icons on the monitor would change for the question mark rooms. One would be an icon of a skull with a cross behind it wearing a crown of thorns and the other would be a bird-like man in all black wearing a mask of sorts. Malkuth would look at her clipboard as if seeing if there was an answer to Kalib's question. Malkuth: "Hmm, I think the last manager kept files on all the abnormalities but I'm not sure where they might be. Well, we'll just have to run more tests to find out more about these abnormalities!" If Kalib were to investigate any of the employee's icons he would see that all the employees had low scores in every category. Tatsuya and anyone else would see another message on the screen apart from Kalib's. It seemed to be a system notification stating "Energy Insufficient. Please generate more energy to open door to next department." It seemed that to open the door both containment cells had to be cleared to generate the appropriate energy amount.
Tatsuya sighs and looks toward the rooms... Well, there's nothing here to do except keep going right? And since he lacks the firepower to tear down the door, he'll just have to work with what he's got. "A skull with a crown of thorns and a bird... I'll take my chances with the skull this time." He walks into the room and looks around, he'd no doubt find the abnormality inside and looks it over... That is quite a skull indeed, and for some reason he's almost feeling like he should speak to it? But for now, the man simply watches and waits.
Kalib grumbles slightly at the message on he got back and the lack of information on the abnormalities. "Alright, I suppose we should get to work Malkuth." He then proceeds to scan over the employees in an attempt to learn more about them. But seeing their scores leaves a bit to be desired. No matter. "So I just need to send one of them into the room with an abnormality, right? And go from there?"
Having no information for the time being and only his wits about him. BK walks over to the door with the bird, walking inside and taking a long good look at the abnormality, for now gauging its reaction to BK's presence Hmm? What are you? An experiment? I knew that They were responsible for this!
(He would simply stare at pk...and sigh) Sigh....great, the brain-dead "hero" is here.... (He says inna sarcastic way) Anyways, have fun with ya guys deing, cuz I sure as hell ain't gonna go there..
Malkuth nods to Kalib while smiling. There was almost something weird about how she didn't even seem to react that strongly to the idea of employees possibly getting hurt from interacting with abnormalities without knowing anything. Perhaps she just had that much faith in Kalib? Malkuth: "Just send one in to do whatever work you believe they should do. I'm sure it will go fine if you just do it like that!" On Kalib's personal monitor suddenly Tatsuya and BK's images would be in the respective containment cells they walked into. Upon entering the room with the skull Tatsuya would observe that it was, in fact, a giant floating skull with a crown of thorns. Within the Skulls head, a cross of a deep black color was embedded only sticking out on each side of the skull. The skull's eyes were empty but yet its empty soulless eyes would make any who stared at them feel guilty about their past sins. The skull would open its mouth as if asking to be fed and something made any who saw this want to confess to their sins. BK would walk into the other containment cell but to his surprise, nothing was there save for a couple black feathers. From behind suddenly, a voice would call out to BK. The voice was dark and muffled slightly but it sounded warm and genuine underneath. ???: "Ah, hello, sire. I don't know what you're doing in this room but can I help you? Are you in need of medical attention? I am a doctor and I'd be happy to treat anything that ails you."
(His head turns a full 360, just shrugging it off) Look..ya worthless pile of shit that calls em self a "hero", I ain't getting kicked out cuz some pancake fettish motherfucker told me to, if it where somewhere else, and where harming ppl, then, I may do it
(edited by Reperzel)
Tatsuya would rub the back of his head... Sins huh? Geez, where to even begin with something like this. "Sins... I've got plenty of those to tell. All too many really, but let's go with... A more recent one I guess." There's a pause for a moment, Tatsu feels rather strange talking about something like this, even more so to some floating skull. "Long story short, some stupid kid decided he had to be better than me, figured a pointless fight was the only way of doing it... Well, he tried to kill me sure. But I didn't have to kill him first, in hindsight, I'm almost sure there was a better way to do things..." The man sighs and rubs the back of his head, he'd stare down at the floor and sound very, very tired as he speaks. "I don't quite get why he did that, but I do know that I've never really forgiven myself for that reaction. It was needless, I could say more, but that's what I'd call my "worst sin" honestly. Tch, what seems like the right thing at the time can turn out to be pretty awful when you stop and think about it." He'd reach into his coat and pull out a lighter, absently flicking it on and staring into the flames... Heh, fire burning out, just like somebody's life. Oh well, no need to get that melodramatic here. Instead, he'd go back to watching the skull, attempting to gauge its reaction.
Kalib can't help but return the smile before turning to his screen. "Alright then! Let's send..." Seeing Tatsuya and PK already enter the rooms would cause some cussing under Kalib's breath. However he would go about sending one of the employees into the same room as Tatsuya. Giving a simple command, "Do your best!"
Well...shits happening that I'm not gonna join cuz I don't wanna die...I know, a mind blowing idea...
BK jerks his head back at Rep's ignorance, of course he was a hero, he had to save everyone from Them. They must be destroyed by an army he raises. That is the only solution. They must die. They must die. They must die. They. Must. Die. THEY MUST DIE! You can understand anything unless you've seen it with your own eyes! They! They do shadowy things and cause all the suffering! They must be exterminated off this world with my might! Thats the only way... That's the only way.. They must die... BK then starts to mutter to himself before hearing a voice, looking around for it frantically Medicine? You keep your dirty salves to yourself! It's tainted! Tainted by the Orchestra! Your pills could never help! They cause more harm then help!
Listen, pancake guy. You ain't no hero. Not at all, you have never saved anyone, rescue anyone, do anything including helping, at all, all ya are is a brain dead person that thinks just cuz ya did some good things. Make ya "hero".... You are not...so piss off,
The skull would seem to close it's mouth in satisfaction as a meter within the containment chamber began to fill halfway. It seems the sin was enough to fulfill half the energy required to pass to the next area alone. Tatsuya could either leave the rest to his allies or try to fill the rest of the quota with another sin. However, Tatsuya would be interrupted by the appearance of an employee entering the chamber. The employee was rather nervous looking as if it was their first day on the job. As they spot Tatsuya they'd freeze for a moment as if believing him to be some side effect of the abnormality but soon they'd realize he was human and their face would grow curious. Kalib's screen this time would be updated. The information on the bird-like entity allowing for a name to appear, "Plague Doctor". A message would also flash on the screen: "The number in their name is the number in the book." Employee: "Who...? A-are you a rabbit? You look pretty combat hardened. B-but I've never seen a rabbit outside of their suit before..." As for BK, he would eventually turn around to see a man of sorts in a thick black cloak wearing a black mask that resembled a bird's beak. He would walk towards BK with both hands extended outwards but he'd only approach him slowly and his hands although covered in what seemed like wings would be gesturing to show BK that he had no weapons within them. He would once more speak in a gentle tone trying to gain BK's trust. Plague Doctor: "Do not fear, I know of the corruption you speak of. It's an illness that has taken the world by storm but that is why I am here. To administer a cure and one that is not in the form of the pills created by some institute but instead a more natural form of medicine. Trust me and I can help you. I only wish to aid you in getting rid of this plague that infects the world."
Tatsu would look toward the person inside the room... Hmm, they seem new, maybe he can try something. "Tatsuya Suou, I'm afraid that's not quite the case no. I'm more of a contractor really, in short, if you haven't seen me around it's because I just haven't been around up till now. Still, I'm sure if you asked the manager, he'd be able to vouch for me." Indeed, Kalib should know to keep things from getting out of hand... Best to act like he belongs, and at least attempt not to cause a panic. "As for my combat skills, yes I've been in a great number of fights, this fancy crossbow for example. Is from a WAW type Abnormality I fought against... That one was quite something lemme tell ya, flower petals that drain your willpower flying everywhere. I digress though, I was simply testing our "friend" here as of right now, and I seem to have it well in hand. Appears to make energy when one confesses sins to it, perhaps you'd care to give it a try yourself?" He'd walk toward the door and raise an eyebrow at the worker, this might be pushing his luck. But perhaps if he tells them to do something, it'll keep them from asking too many questions. "Of course, I understand if you wish to be left alone for such a thing. I'll head out if you feel up to trying your hand here."
BK watches carefully as he grasps his laser sword, looking for facial features but only seeing a mask, growing less agitated but more suspicious, taking steps backwards slowly to keep his distance, the thing didn't seem too unfriendly, but it never hurt to be cautious You know of the truth? You know of Them as well? Can you see it? Just in the corner of your eye a figment, no a shadow. Of Them? Do you have something that would assist in clearing this plauge? If so then I need to have it! I beg you! They cannot be allowed to continue their diabolical plans! We must purify them! Purify them before it's too late!
"The number in their name is the number in the..." Kalib thinks over the message before flipping through the journal once again, trying to see if he could find an entry with either of the abnormalities' numbers. "Things seem to be going well so far... I think?"
...what the fuck is going on....
The employee would look at Tatsuya for a moment before smiling and nodding. He didn't seem to understand that the Corporation doesn't really have contractors but he'd rather not upset the manager. He'd begin recounting to the skull a time when he was younger and stole a candy bar from his best friend. The meter for the energy would go up to 75%. It was almost full now. Only a little more energy would be required. The Plague Doctor would approach BK slowly as a pink aura seemed to fill the room. The aura was calming in nature and from the aura, cherry blossom petals would seem to emerge as they began floating around the Plague Doctor. Plague Doctor: "Yes, I will purify you. You will be cured of Their plague. The shadow will no longer haunt you because you will be freed from them." The Plague doctor would attempt to wrap his wings around BK in an attempt to embrace him as the pink petals began to spread throughout the room. BK would begin to feel an energy moving towards the core of his being. It felt warm and pleasant and if this wasn't stopped now it would destroy him so it may build him back up from the ground up. He would be reborn as a blessed being. Kalib's search in the journal would yeild a few results. For the skull like being he'd find out its name was "One Sin and a Hundred Good Deeds". There was a quote to go along with it as well: "It feeds on the "evil" that surfaces during conversations." As for the Plague Doctor he'd find its name displayed here as well. There was a quote for the Plague Doctor as well: “I shall cure you, depriving of every disease and injury you possess.” However, next to the Plague doctors name was a warning of sorts reading, "Warning: Check #46". Malkuth would suddenly begin speaking. Malkuth: "Wow! Amazing! We're already at 75% and you've only sent in one employee! That must be a new record!"
Tatsu would simply walk back into the hall and lean against a wall, for now, he'd spare a glance toward Rep who appears to have been staring at a wall rather intently... Almost as if he expects it to speak with him? Either way, for now, he'll count on his allies to get the rest of that energy, 75% is pretty good, and he's hoping that doctor will fill up the rest.
Kalib would nervously squeak at Malkuth's observation and begin sheepishly scratching his head. "Y-YEAH! R-Right! It must be beginner's luck!" Looking back at the entries he notices the warning. Disconcerting, but it's better he wasn't kept in the dark. He'd begin leafing through the journal once more in an attempt to find #46. "Hey Malkuth, does number 46 mean anything to you?" He asks while still rifling through the pages.
BK looks around and watches the pink aura consume him, however he isn't afraid, it was clear that this thing wanted to destroy Them. A noble cause and one without error, standing still as he gets embraced I... This is... BK holds still as he grows speechless, closing his eyes and accepting the strange energy mass to be recreated. Into something more. Better. Stronger. Somebody who could stand up against any and all odds!
Malkuth would pause and stare blankly for a moment. Her eyes seemed to lose their focus at the mention of the number. For a moment there seemed to be a spiraling confusion in her eyes as if something was contradicting. Then all at once she regained her focus and answered. Malkuth: "46? No, I've never heard of an abnormality with that number." In the journal Kalib would find a very different result though. A simple two-word name, "White Night" and a quote that would tell him all he needed to know of this abnormality: "Rise, my servants. Rise and serve me." On the page this abnormalities name showed up on there was a smear of blood as if the previous manager was trying to send a warning of some kind. Suddenly, Kalib's monitor would break out into static as the image of a strange looking clock appeared and switched to the one position. Under it, text would appear in an old font: "And I tell you, you are Pancake Knight the apostle, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." BK would be filled with the divine light as he felt his very existence melt away. In his place, he could feel his body reconstructing itself better than ever before as he was reborn as not Bald Knight but Pancake Knight the Blessed. He was an apostle of something greater now and he would rid this world of the disease the Plague Doctor spoke of. The energy meter would finally fill up to full as the sound of the door within the main corridor opening could be heard.
BK struggles not to yell out from being completely erased, falling to the ground on his knees once he's reconstructed. Pulling out his laser blade and laying it in front of him. Speaking quietly, but with none of the terror from before I shall do as you command. This world shall fear my blade as I strike into the deepest of depths itself. No more demons shall leave this accursed place. I swear it as a Knight. Loyal to you and only you. Raising up from his bow he takes his sword back and walks out from the room, nodding to Tatsuya before walking towards the main corridor
" hm where is this place" malachite said looking around
Bzzzz.... A faint buzzing sound causes dread in anyone who hears it...
OOC: Bump to continue soon
The group would continue down the halls of the facility for a while. It was oddly dark with only a few ceiling lights to guide their way. Strange noises could be heard occasionally, the sounds of moaning or screams. Though there was a more consistent and less noticeable noise, the sound of static filling the halls just quiet enough to be apart of the background noise. Outside the abandoned building above where Tatsuya and the other were Tatsuya's motorcycle would still be parked. For any who saw this perhaps, they may be curious as to what's going on within the building. If they were to investigate they would find a hatch door somewhere in the center of the building. The hatch would lead into a dark corridor that would eventually lead anyone to three doors. The door on the right would lead to an empty chamber with black feathers scattered on the ground. The door to the left would be a mystery and the door continuing down the hall would lead anyone down to where Tatsuya and the others from before were. Kalib's office would remain mostly empty. It seemed that no one had bothered to enter as of yet. Finally, Angela would enter the office looking quite pleased with Kalib's earlier success. Angela: "Hello, manager. I hope you're holding up well... I have a question I must ask you. Here at Lobotomy, we have a motto that was made by the founder of the company. That motto is "Face your fears to build the future". There's a question I ask of all our managers. Which part do you believe to be more important? "Face your fears" or "Build the future"?"
(edited by Persona)
Huh.... Hatch..... Curious, 7 heads down the hatch and through the left hall
As usual, Luard didn't think much of the abandoned building, save that it was odd someone would feel the need to park out there. Probably just a meeting of some punks, nothing worth paying attention to. To confirm his theory, Luard sends out a faint pulse into the warehouse... Detecting.... Nothing. Luard raises his eyebrow and tries again, just in case. Nothing. So, the young man enters the warehouse himself, soon stumbling upon a hatch. With a grin, Luard starts down it. This might be more interesting than he had thought. Without waiting furhter, Luard would head in to the right doorway
His gaze is torn from the previous manager's journal as Angela makes herself known. His lips curl up in a warm smile as the woman speaks. He closes the journal and ponders her words for a moment. "I am quite well. Thank you Angela! Malkuth gave me the confidence I needed to oversee the operations." He pauses and stares into the woman's eyes. "Do I really need to pick one? Nobody is ever afraid of nothing, so why not work towards building a future where everyone can accept their fears? A world where people don't need to hide anymore, and can be more open to change!" He laughs shyly before scratching at his right cheek. "I guess I want to have my future and face it too...heheh... Too naive right?"
BPK continues down the path silently, pulling his laser blade out and using turning it on, lifting it over his head to use as an oversized glow stick to light the way. Keeping his wits about him as he checks his back every now and then. Must keep my guard up. No idea when one might break out.
Tatsu walks forward. Much like PK, he'd have his weapons at the ready as his eyes dart around the place. It's not every day you break into a building like this, and he can't afford to make any mistakes... Beyond that, he needs to find out why Jack wanted him in here. "Agreed PK, and you feeling better man? Ever since that trip to the doctor or whatever, you seem more like yourself in some ways... A lot less cheerful than usual though, still, it's good to see you've got your wits again."
As Tatsuya speaks to the knight he gets a small smirk on his face. Better? That was an understatement. A very big understatement. I have been reborn anew. The good doctor has completely rebuilt me from the ground up. My justice has been rekindled. The demons lurking below will know my name. I will not have them roaming this wretched world. Needless to say I do have my wits. Enhanced wits even.
7 would find themselves in a strange looking white room. There were some strange devices in the corner but they would be mostly irrelevant compared to what would be resting in the center of the room. A skull with a cross embedded in it would be floating a couple feet off the ground, bobbing up and down every so often. It wore a crown of thorns and its mouth seemed to open and close occasionally. Luard, on the other hand, would find themselves within the empty cell with only feathers of a deep black color to be found. They could feel something watching them but whatever it was it wasn't making itself known quite yet. Angela would smile back at Kalib as if satisfied enough with his answer. Angela: "The future, whether we want it or not, is coming. There are two ways to face it. Either we accept it or we build a new future. This corporation is all about trying to build that future for the rest of the world. Enough of that though. It was pleasant to hear such a refreshing answer. The next department will be opening soon. The leader of this department is someone you already know. I'll be back upon receiving the results." With that Angela would leave the office once again. On Kalib's screen, another department would open up just below the Control Department. He could see three chambers align with it as well that displayed the image of a small white bird with a red stomach and a dark black sac with many red eyes all over it. The last chamber would seem different as the image was much large than the others. It was a green serpent-like creature covered in thorns. It also possessed a head that was similar to a flower. Their numbers would be displayed as O-02-56, T-02-43, and O-02-98. Kalib had four option for employees this time: Employee 1 Fortitude Low Prudence Low Temperance Average Justice Low Employee 2 Fortitude Average Prudence Average Temperance Low Justice Low Employee 3 Fortitude High Prudence Low Temperance Low Justice High Employee 4 Fortitude Very Low Prudence High Temperance Very High Justice Very Low BPK and Tatsuya would find themselves at the end of the hall facing four different doors this time. One would be the usual locked door leading into the next department while the other three would simply be labeled as 1-3. The computer would be beside the doors, as usual, giving them some means to contact Kalib.

Oof.... You're creepy.... 7 walks over to the skull, looking it over Hmm...... Hi there! Name's Number 7! If you're sentient, you can call me Nana~ If not.... well..... I look kinda silly right now. Hahaha~
Kalib waves Angela off happily before flipping through the book once more. "Let's start with that big one first and foremost!" Between entries, Kalib would type out a message to Tatsuya and BPK. >"If it's not too much to ask, don't do anything reckless. That being said, go for door 2. I'll get you some info shortly." After sending off that message he'd send a message to Employee 2. His message would be to enter the first door with the bird.
For some reason, Luard feels as though one of his circles might be a bad idea at the moment, some things are better not to disturb, so instead, Luard steps further into the room, eyes darting around in search of the creature watching him Hello there, I know I am not alone. Perhaps we could meet up and talk for a moment. Assuming you are capable of such a thing. I will admit, I know very little about you after all.
Tatsuya would type out a reply to Kalib's message. "Tatsu here, and I wasn't planning to do anything reckless... You got any idea what's in that place? I'd prefer not to just walk in without a clue honestly. The skull was pretty harmless, but I'm not so big on taking chances with this crap.
Stepping over to the terminal he reads the words with his newfound knowledge and types back accordingly I shall comply Overseer. Come. Let us deal with the abnormality. BPK then steps away from the console and heads to the second door, readying himself before stepping into the room and announcing with his voice for all the hear. Show yourself! I am Pancake Knight. My task is to deal with all abnormalities. You are the first. Meet me head on. Don't play coy with me.
In the chamber 7 currently find themselves in the skull in replying to them would simply open and close its mouth more. For a moment there seemed to be a compulsive desire spread out through the room to reveal any sins one might have. The name Kalib would find in the journal would be Porccubus along with the quote "Now it's time for my head to burst. Good day." Suddenly an indicator would appear on the screen and would show that the employee he had just ordered to go to the room with the white bird was taking small increments of damage. He would receive a voice message from the employee. Their voice was nervous and shaky as they spoke. The sound of something pecking at them could also be heard. Employee 2: "S-sir, the abnormality has become hostile...Uh, should I try to repress it? Ow! It's pecking is starting to hurt!" Within the empty chamber a man in a black cloak and plague mask would appear. His arms would be covered in what seemed to be wings with black feathers and there also seemed to be a smaller pair of wings sprouting from his head. He spoke in a dark but also warm tone, greeting Luard as if he was speaking to an old friend. Plague Doctor: "Hello, have you come because you are sick or injured? I shall cure you of all that may ail you. I am a doctor by trade, after all." BPK would notice that this room is oddly dark near the roof but only the roof. Small spiders would crawl all around the floors seeming to almost encroach upon BPK's space but they'd maintain just enough distance to give him space to walk but to still frighten him if he didn't have the mental composure to handle the sight of them. Near the roof at the center of the room would be a large black sack. Many red eyes would open in response to BPK's shouting as they all focused on him. ???: Is it once again time to feed? I need something...anything...I'm starving..."
Tatsuya bangs his head on the wall for a moment, for fuck's sake what part of don't do anything reckless does he not understand? There's nothing to be done about it, but dear lord PK. "PK just walked into the room, and I can hear his shouting from out here Kalib. He's saying something about dealing with all abnormalities, kinda worried he's about to get eaten or driven insane honestly." The man justs sighs and looks toward the door, perhaps he should step into that madhouse and try to remove PK quickly... For now, he'll wait and see if he can get more info, but it would be best to prepare for things to get worse soon.
Luard draws out a tablet from beneath his cloak, keeping one eye on the Plague Doctor, Luard begins by simply taking notes on its appearance I am not sick or injured, not in any way a doctor can help anyways. I'm a researcher by trade, I merely came here to investigate, and you're the first living thing I've found. Would you mind if I spent a little time analyzing you? Though I will admit I'm not entirely sure what I may gain from it, I thought it worth asking while we're here.
BPK looks at the spiders and they start to gnaw away at his mind. However, after surviving Silent Orchestra and having his mind brought back to 100% it didn't affect him too much. BPK then walks up towards the giant black sack and meets it head on. Staring right into it and doing his best not to look away. I see you are not a coward. That must mean you are a fool. No thing would approach me so casually. I will teach you the errors of your ways. Waffles. Maziodyne BPK then summons the giant golden Knight known as Waffles back into reality as he takes a spear from it and sticks the end of it into the ground and holds on, using the tip like a tesla coil as lighting charges up before erupting in a shockwave all over the room. Hoping to fry as many critters as possible This is your meal. Holy retribution

Hmm..... Following the compulsion seemed like a good idea to 7, after all, It's not like it's going to tell anyone her secrets Let's see..... Something I really wanna get off my chest..... ....................................... 7 thinks hard about this, sitting down and crossing her legs On my first loop. I wasn't exactly a very nice person. I realized early on that I could re-spawn, so I ended up dying pretty often.... It was kinda fun back then.... Still is.... but.... Eventually that world ended.... and I died with it... Only to re-spawn. So.... i found my way to another Nexus.... lived there.... died there... till it died. She looks down at the ground Eventually I lost track of how many "Loops" I had gone through. And everything felt samey..... So, I started screwing around with it. I mean, I was just gonna die with the world and re-spawn anyway, and they were just gonna all die eventually, so why not have fun? .................... I..... did a lot of things I'm not proud of.... Hurt a lot of people.... killed a lot.... enjoyed it too.... Even now, I find it hard to remember that people are "People".... They all seem.... I mean, It's just a world. And It'll end, and I'll move on.... To the next world... over and over.... Guess in the end I'm just trying to enjoy my never-ending life.... I try to be happy, but a lot of the time I feel like I'm lying to everyone.... Sometimes I just get bored and kill myself in front of friends and family, just to laugh at their reactions when I come back........ I've lost almost all sense of self preservation.... Pain is temporary, Why let it stop me? Death is temporary, Why be afraid of it? And.... If I can't die.... ................................ Am..... Am I even living? ............................................. 7 goes quiet. staring at the floor between her legs Feels nice to finally get it off my chest....
The doctor would seem to look towards Luard curiously. Their voice retained it's warmth from before and perhaps even sounded more cheerful in a way. Plague Doctor: "Analyzing? I would not be opposed to such an act. As long as it doesn't interfere with curing the disease that plagues this place then I shall not object." The sack would seem to scream in pain as the spiders were electrocuted. Its eyes would fill with bloodlust as it began swinging back and forth. ???: "You dare to harm my children?!? I shall feast on you..." Several larger spiders would try to crawl on PK as the main sack began lowering itself into the light. Its grotesque body was now in full view for BPK to see. The large spiders would try to begin wrapping BPK's body if they were able to climb onto him. The skull's mouth would simply open and close as a strange aura seemed to be sucked from around 7 and into its mouth. It looked sated as a small amount of energy filled a bar in the corner of the room. It wasn't much but it was at least something.
Oh.... Did you like that? Hmm..... 7 looks at the bar Maybe you want me to tell you more? Liiike..... Well, My 213th loop I tried to see how many normal people I could kill before I died.... That was about.... 839 people.... All probably innocent....
Tatsuya would sigh and walk over to the door PK went into, he'd pause for a moment before finally going inside and seeing the scene unfolding. "Oh goddamnit! What the hell even is this crap? Ya know what, I don't care PK we're leaving this one be right now!" A towering figure of light bursts to life behind the man, Hyperion would raise its hands up and create a wall made of hard light going all the way up to the ceiling that's just barely in front of PK. It wouldn't hold things that are next to him back, but it should stop any more of them from reaching the pair. "I don't know what the hell you're thinking, but stop pissing off things that are ungodly dangerous PK. Didn't we just hear not to do anything reckless?" The man would sigh and try to grab hold of PK's shoulder, aiming to pull him back and leave this room behind as quickly as possible. He's not exactly sure it's safe to be doing this, but he won't leave the dumbass to get himself killed.
thank you for your cooperation, I have three methods, the lowest of which you probably wouldn't have noticed, I will be proceeding with the second level for this. You might feel a tingling sensation, this is perfectly normal and will cause no real harm. That said, Luard immediately begins drawing a pair of glowing red circles in the air in front of him, they would be nearly as tall as Luard, a spattering of meaningless runes between the pair before Luard thrusts his hand in the center. This would send a more intense pulse, one the Plague Doctor would almost certainly feel, yet likely would cause little worse than discomfort. This stronger pulse would resonate with whatever life energy the Plague doctor has, giving Luard information on his vital signs, general strength, nature of his abilities (in this case probably some form of healing) and overall potential
BPK watches as the lightning strikes, frying his prey alive. When the shock is over BPK lets go of the spear as it flys back to Waffles. As the spiders approach BPK raises his arm into the air again as Waffles begins to melt Fusion. Breakfast Swords. As Waffles melts into a ball of energy it splits right in the middle as two blades form and fly to BPK's sides. All at once the swords work to deflect spiders from climbing on with deft strikes before BPK jumps up onto the both of them and hovers a slight distance from the floor and plunging his laser blade into the sack and dragging the sword around as he zooms aroud it. I think not. I rather prefer my flesh. However, before he can strike at the spider he crashes into the wall and falls to the floor in a daze, Tatsu then drags him out of the room as PK holds onto his head Gah...!
The skull would continue devouring the sins from 7 to generate energy but it seemed as if the amount of energy it created on its own from this process would never be very high. It would seem that the skull would only be able to provide a small boost to the total energy amount at this moment. BPK and Tatsuya would be back in the hallway. Despite BPK attacking the sack the energy bar in the hall would begin filling enough to almost make up half of the energy amount needed. Any others within a cell would notice the bar fill up as well. Luard upon would find that the Plague Doctor was actually slowly dying over time. His vitals were stable for now but it was clear that his body was fading. Apart from his health issues, the plague doctor wasn't particularly strong himself as he seemed to only possess the strength of an average human and a slightly larger size. Luard would also identify two separate healing abilities. One healing ability seemed to be lighter in effect and only suitable for healing smaller injuries but another seemed to be capable of miraculous healing possibly capable of even regrowing limbs and curing incurable diseases. However, upon deployment of the secondary healing ability, there seems to be a latent effect of some kind. A certain foreign energy remains within those who have been hit with the Plague Doctor's second healing ability. Finally, the potential would by far give off the strangest results. The Plague Doctor all though dying seemed to be capable of reincarnating as something else upon death. However, data of whatever this "thing" was would be unavailable at the moment. It would seem the only way to obtain this information on the Plague Doctor would be by allowing it to reincarnate.
Hmm..... Gotcha.... I'll be back. K Skully? 7 leaves the room, waving to the skull before peeking in the feathers room, looking for the occupant inside Hello~?
Kalib allows a sigh as he reads over Tatsuya's message. "I don't think he was ever fully sane to begin with." Hearing the employee speak up, Kalib responds quickly. "Please do your best to hang in there! Your vitals seem to be steady, so give me a moment to read up on your avian adversary!" Kalib tosses a quick glance over to the screen to verify the status of his friends before returning to the book and seeking the first abnormality's entry. "Now it's time for my head to burst. Everything about that screams bad news." He allows himself a fearful shudder before returning to his reading.
Luard would grin, mind alight with curiosity, it is extremely rare, almost unheard of for a being to transform upon death, so much so he's only heard legends of it. As such there is very little data to rely upon on the subject. Considering the creature's rather poor health, this is likely only a matter of time. For now, Luard takes a deep breath, calmly speaking to the doctor again, may as well remain on cordial terms if he is to keep observing them Thank you for your cooperation, though I must ask, you don't seem to be faring very well yourself. Is there anything I can do for you at the moment?
"Agreed, I went in and bailed him out though. Was a freaking giant spider in there. Seemed to be trying to eat him. Got us some energy for the trouble, and yeah the bird... Here's hoping it doesn't become a giant world ending monster or something. With that, Tatsu would walk away from the computer and over to the room for subject number one. He's not too sure about it, but it hopefully isn't as bad as a giant spider that devours people. Few things are that awful, right... Hah, if only he could actually believe that.
7 would walk into the room to see a large black feathery figure talking to Luard. The figure would be quite strange in appearance with a mask that was long and slender like a birds beak and wings covering its arms and sprouting out of its head. The doctor would respond to Luard in its same friendly tone though it would show mild signs of distress. Plague Doctor: "There is only one thing I need. I need more individuals to receive my blessing. That is the only way for me to reach the end of my road more...painlessly. It is my next incarnation that will truly cure this place. Until I reach that state my job will never be complete." Kalib within the book would find that the bird's name would be listed as Little Bird Punishing Bird. The quote that would follow its name would read as follows, "People have been committing sins from a long time ago. 'Why do they commit such a thing? Even when they know that it is bad'" The vital signs of the employee within the room were about still at 3/4s. It seemed that while the bird did consistent damage that it was only in a very small dosage. Anyone with proper protection would be almost completely fine. Tatsuya would ender the room with the bird to see that a small white bird with a red chest would be pecking at an employee as he desperately tried to cover his own head. He'd be bleeding by a small amount but other than that his injuries didn't seem to be fatal.
Hmm.... Seems busy... I'll come back later... 7 Leaves and leaves the building how she camel Getting sleepy.... Night night.....
(edited by Nana-chan)
Is that truly all? Luard pauses to think for a moment, this "blessing" of his may very well be the secondary healing, one which possessed an unknown latent effect. It is likely that this effect is related to their second state, at least, that's what it sounds like the doctor is saying. Therefore, in interest of being able to see this state.... Very well then. You have been very helpful to me so far, I am willing to receive this "blessing" of yours in order to help you out in return. Though I have no major injuries, perhaps it would prove able to help me after all. Luard takes a deep breath, slightly adjusting his cloak. While he may not know exactly what this blessing entails, it sounds like it is related to Luard's goal regardless, and therefore worth looking into
"Obscure as always my enigmatic predecessor. Don't do bad stuff then? Seems pretty simple!" Kalib happily closes the journal and speaks to the employee, and now Tatsuya. "Alright, listen up! Do not do anything to anger the bird. Stay on the defensive, but don't respond with force! Keep it up, I believe in you!" After speaking to them, Kalib opens the journal one more time to read up on the middle abnormality. "Why is it always spiders? Why can't it be butterflies for once?"
Tatsu just stares at the bird blankly. Don't attack it, sure why not? It's just a tiny little thing after all, how much damage can it even do? "Alright then, so we just have to... Not attack the bird, well this shouldn't be too bad right? I'm sure that as long as we don't try to kill it, nothing should go too wrong." For some reason, he gets the sense this bird has some kind of OP as hell counter up its wings. The thing seems harmless now, but nothing here can really be that safe.
7 would find the area up ahead where Tatsuya and others were including a strangely inactive BPK. There would be 4 doors in this area. One door was locked and another had just recently been opened. The other two that remained was one that Had the sound of many legs shuffling and one that didn't really sound like anything besides something...growing. The Plague Doctor would seem to begin chanting as its arms stretched out into full-sized wings nearly 5 feet in length each. It would wrap its arms around Luard as small pink peals along with a soothing mist filled the area. Finally, the doctor would bring its mask closer to Luard as the pink aura began centering around him. In an instant, Luard would feel as if his very being was being taken apart and reassembled as the pink energy tried to fuse with him. If the process was completed as intended Luard would reemerge feeling reborn as no longer just a human but as one who is blessed. Kalib would sort through the book looking for info on the spider in question. What he found was that it was in fact named Spider Bud and the quote to go along with it seemed to be more of a note than an actual reference to what it was. The quote read as, "Unsurprisingly, not a single employee volunteered to retrieve the corpse of their cocooned colleague." The employee would simply try to hide in the corner of the room and try to get the bird to stop pecking it without actually fighting back. Eventually, the bird seemed to get bored with the employee and noticed Tatsuya. It would quickly flap its wings as it sped over to him to begin trying to peck at his head as well.
Tatsuya would simply pull out a lighter and flick it on, he'd stare at the flames without even reacting to the bird's attempt to attack him. Sure it's slightly annoying, but after all the things he's been hit with over the years, he wouldn't exactly call this painful. "Hmm, seems as if this thing really is fairly nonlethal when left alone. A bit testy to be sure, but not overly dangerous."
"Gulp!" Kalib closes the book again and swallows hard. Thank goodness everyone was okay. He looks over to the monitor and speaks to the pair again. "You are both doing great! We'll see to any wounds you get after our furious; flighty friend is done going over the pecking order! I'm proud of your effort. Getting attacked without responding is no simple task!" Kalib leans back in his seat as he looks over the display once more. Particularly curious about the energy levels he's been accumulating.
Luard takes a deep breath and kneels for the moment, for some reason, this feels appropriate in the situation. As the process continues, Luard grits his teeth, far from a pleasant feeling, yet its not the worst pain he's ever felt. No, far from it. Once the process is complete. Luard would allow himself to break form for a moment, taking deep breaths, as though he couldn't get enough air. Yet, he does feel somewhat better. Better than he has in years. Slowly, but surely, Luard gets to his feet
The bird would eventually tire out and stop pecking at Tatsuya. It would fly around briefly and miss its perch before landing back on Tatsuya having mistaken him for a perch. It would simply sit on his shoulder completely oblivious to the mistake it had made. Kalib would now read that the energy bar was about 75% full. It would seem that he'd need one more task done before enough energy would be gained to move on. As for Luard, he would find that the Plague Doctor was now gone seeming to have vanished into thin air. If he were to walk out of the cell he would actually discover that the Plague Doctor had switched places with the cell Tatsuya is currently in. On Kalib's screen, a message would display similarly to before. Static would cover the screen as the message popped up along with a clock with its hand on 2. "Tell us, when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?"
Taking a moment to compose himself, Luard soon stands up straight, adjusting his cloak, Luard soon realizes there is little for him here anymore. And so, he walks back into the main room, and down the central hall door.
Satisfied with the progress, Kalib was not prepared for the next appearance of a strange message. "What the hell!? This is really starting to give me a bad feeling... White Night was it? Just what are you after?" He doesn't stop to ponder the question before calling out a warning to Tatsuya and Employee number 2. "Listen up. Something strange is going on with another abnormality! Stay calm, we'll get through this together!"
Tatsuya would place the tiny bird back onto its actual perch and depart from the room, for now, he'd best... Hmm, Spider is likely still angry with him, and the skull and doc aren't worth too much, so where to go next? The last room seems like the only choice left for now. "Alright, we're running out of things to work with here. I guess that I can look into the last room? Unless someone who works here might be better? I've got no idea what we'd need to do. As for this other thing? Plague Doctor I assume, PK got... Much saner after coming out of that room, and I doubt it comes free of charge in the long run.
The employee still in a shocked state would begin looking up from the corner he was in and upon Kalib's warning would begin making his way back through a locked door on the other side of Punishing Bird's cell. He would be returning to the main employee area for the information team. The bird itself would actually quickly fly over towards the doors controls and somehow actually manage to open the door on its own. It would fly out of the cell and begin making circles within the main hall. Luard would enter the central area to see Tatsuya typing on a computer.
And so the cloaked figure enters the central area, coming from the same general area as the Plague Doctor. Yep. That can't be suspicious. All jokes aside, Luard briefly glances around, before clearing his throat to catch Tatsuya's attention I do believe we've never met before. You may call me Luard, for what time we are acquainted. I take it you were curious about this place as well? Regardless of answer, Luard would take his tablet out from beneath his cloak and begin taking notes, looking at Tatsuya out the corner of his eye
Tatsu would look over at the man and begin walking away from the computer, he hasn't seen this one before... And coming from the plague doctor, right after all that went down? Hmm, curious to say the least. "Tatsuya Suou, and you could say something like that. I met someone who worked here, the guy gave me a beacon leading to this place... That and a friend of mine recently got employed as the manager." With that, Tatsu would begin walking off for the third cell in this area. He's not sure what he'll find, but he walks into the room and looks around with a wary eye.
Kalib covers his mouth as he thinks, muttering this and that to himself. >"You don't seem to be alone there, be careful I don't know who that is. And as for the last room, I don't know anything about it other than it may or may not cause your head to explode. No pressure." Looking away from the monitor for a second, Kalib begins leafing through the journal to check for any additional information regarding the final abnormality. He pauses for a moment. "Punishing Bird isn't in their cell..." He sends a message to the other employees waiting. "Number Three! Can you keep an eye on that bird? Try and draw its attention but do not make it angry. Okay? Good luck!"
Within the final cell at first Tatsuya would see nothing but a hint of green rushing around. Before he knew it a massive green plant like serpent covered in strange white quills and with the head of a flower would be coiling around him without touching him directly. It would look at him from up above with black beady eyes. It didn't seem hostile in its attempts though and simply would be staring at his right hand. Employee 3 would go out with the order to move to the central hall. Unlike the others, 3 wore a burnt looking trenchcoat and carried a large cannon on their back. Their resistance to physical attacks was much higher and their damage potential could be devastating but their weapon took a longer time to charge before firing. They'd keep an eye on the small bird to ensure it didn't cause any trouble. As for any more info in the journal, Kalib would actually find that it seemed as though the computer's database was updated with more information on it. There was a small interview log from the perspective of an employee: "<Time to bust your head>To be honest, daily life here is not so fun. The company tries to suggest healthy activities, but not many employees participate. Everybody has their own escape. Violence, gambling, eating... I thought I had an extraordinary Temperance. And it helped me live a smoother life. Maybe that is the reason why I was assigned to Porccubus. Yes, about Porccubus... Only the employees with sad and gloomy lives are assigned here. I've heard what other employees said about the Containment Unit. They call it "trust play". Trust play, what an elegant thing to call it. (omit)" Luard would simply be left in the main hall to take notes for now.
Tatsuya stares into the thing's eyes, the way it's looking at his hand... It's not giving off a hostile sort of sense, but it's still rather curious. Despite his feelings, the man would slowly raise his hand up toward it. "Let's see what you do then, for some reason I get the sense that you aren't quite trying to kill me. But rather that it's a possible side effect..."
Kalib reads over the interview with concern in his eyes. "Sad and gloomy people are the only ones assigned to Porccubus usually?" His hands slowly ball into fists. "I never thought his past would benefit him... hang in there Tatsuya!" Kalib hangs his head for a moment. "Trust play, huh?" He looks back up at the monitor and folds his hands over the journal. It seemed to help him calm down slightly. His eyes were glued to the screen in anticipation for whatever comes next.
Porccubus would quickly puncture Tatsuya's hand with one of its quills. The wound would be painful and even draw a bit of blood but in this process, the creature would inject Tatsuya with an unknown chemical compound. It would quickly back off of Tatsuya as it flies back into the air and over onto the far wall of the containment cell. It would, however, continue watching Tatsuya. Tatsuya would suddenly begin feeling the effects of the chemical. It would wane on his mind as the most profound joy began making its way into his mind. The sensation would be powerful, like nothing he had ever felt before. It would drive its way into him making him feel that his head itself would explode. He would need to control himself and show restraint as to not give into these feelings, otherwise, he'd be tempted to let the plant-like creature inject him again.
He feels... Happy, to be sure, but it's fake. This feeling is just the effect of a simple drug, and as the image of a man wielding a spear comes to mind any sense of joy he felt would be tempered with sadness and hate. "Hahaha, oh this feels... Great? I'm not quite sure what to call it, but I do know that it's nothing compared to the shit that I've seen." Another idea springs to mind, a woman melting to goo as a man calling himself Ira stares over at Tatsuya... Perhaps not his greatest failure, but it's certainly his most rece- oh but what about a stupid child? One who just wanted to be something more in the most foolish way he could have chosen, and ended up dead as a doornail for his efforts... Tatsuya sticks his hands in his pockets and stares up at the thing, despite how good it might feel, he'd best focus on all the horrible things that have happened instead. From there, he'd simply watch the flower with a wary eye for now.
The creature seemed to have some form of understanding in its eyes watching Tatsuya. It almost looked...sad. Sad that it couldn't bring Tatsuya enough joy for him to forget his pain but it also understood why. Its tail would puff up into a circular shape for a moment before returning to normal. Finally, the creature would curl up in a corner and simply appear to fall asleep. Kalib would now see that the energy bar was once again filled all the way. The next department would be open with the final abnormality satisfied. How strange though that Yesod had never shown up to Report to Kalib. Kalib would be left in his office for a moment getting a confirmation on his monitor that Tatsuya had successfully managed to stay alive.
