Secrets of the Corporation: The Second Trumpet
After what seemed like a long while Kalib's computer display would finally change to display a new section of the corporation he had yet to see. It would show up as security team and take on a greenish color. It seemed that this department more or less was focused around the maintaining employee's chances of survival. His display that showed him his employees would take a moment to load, in fact, it seemed the whole system was taking a long time to load. On the screen a prompt displayed: [We're sorry, it seems the system operator for this section has not yet set up the information. Would you like to connect the Sephirah directly?] Yes/No Meanwhile, Tatsuya and the others had been walking for what seemed like a while before they would come across an elevator. The elevator if taken would bring him to a new area and assumingly that much closer to where Kalib had been taken. As usual, the hatch within an abandoned building would still be open allowing anyone else to acess this underground facility. Tatsuya's motorcycle was still parked outside. Anyone who knew Tatsuya would most likely recognize it immediately and know that something was off about this building.
The man walks into the elevator, reaching into his coat and absently pulling a lighter out of it. "Geez, that plant was something else... And of course, this whole thing will no doubt get even worse as I move in further... Oh well, in for a penny in for a pound." He presses the button to go down, lighter flicking on as he stares into the flames and waits to see whatever hellish new area this will take him to... Something tells him it'll look fairly normal, at a glance.
Kalib adjusts himself in his chair and puts down the journal he was reading. His eyes now trained on the monitor once more he begins to shift in place as the loading process seems to drag on. "Eh? Even a place with a budget like this can still have bugs in the system... well nothing to do but wa- oh?" The prompt on screen would give him pause for a few seconds as he reads it over. "So someone slipped up, huh? Well whatever, let's see what's what." >Yes He types in the command and hits enter.
So while in the middle of one of his often walks to calm his troubled mind, Eito spots Tatsuya's motorcycle and jogs over. "The boss's bike? What's it doing here?" He gets his answer when he notices the open hatch and looks down. With a shrug, he secures the bandages on his hands along with all his weapons. "This is a terrible decision..." He then climbs down.
The elevator would begin moving as it roars to life. It begins shaking as if getting ready to make it's decent. Finally, the familiar feeling of movement would be felt as it begins going down and...After moving a few inches the elevator would immediately stop and lose power. It seems that whoever's in charge of keeping it in working order is currently slacking off. As soon as Kalib inputs the prompt the computer would seem to begin getting ready to set up a voice call of sorts. The computer would show an icon as it began to connect to whoever it in charge of the security team but it would seem to undergo this process for a while. In fact, minutes would go by without an answer until finally, Kalib would finally hear a voice. It sounded like a calm male voice, too calm, he almost sounded out of it like he might not have been all there at the moment. ???: Hello...? Who is this? When did they... install a phone on my computer...That's weird..." Eito would find himself at the beginning of a dark series of hallways. Many closed doors would line the halls but if he chose to move down it, he would end up at the elevator Tatsuya was currently struggling with after a long walk.[/i]
"A new voice? Ahem. Hello, my name is Kalib! I'm working as manager, but I'm sure you knew that." He coughs softly as he considers what to say next. "Er, there seemed to be an issue with the current section's information. The system operator seemed to have miss or neglect setting up the information. I apologize, but may I request your assistance?"
"This is prime horror movie material right here, ay lads?" His eyes pulse with a multitude of colors, a few agreements being whispered out of his own mouth before the voices are silenced again and his eyes go back to normal. "Now let's move on." Walking forward carefully, he chooses not to touch any of the doors, not trusting anything about them. Upon arriving at the elevator, he stops to look at Tatsuya, before waving and moving closer. "Heya boss. How'd you find yourself here?" Absentmindedly, he grabs the white stone given to him a long time ago. It comforts him.
The man's head darts over to the door, what the hell is Eito doing here anyways? "Same as usual, going into the mouth of madness and seeing what horrors Lobotomy Corp has to offer to us. I assume you saw my bike out there? Otherwise, it'd make no sense to come in." What was the aim here hmm? He's quite curious about that, it's clear he wasn't expected or really wanted by the staff. Therefore Jack must have wanted him here for a reason the rest of the company wouldn't agree with, so it's a question of why, and what. "Anyway, get in here before this thing randomly starts working and properly closes the doors yeah? I'm curious about the shiny rock and all, but there's bigger fish to fry for now anyways don't ya think."
"Fantastic, let's hope I don't get driven more mad than I already am." Eito steps into the elevator casually and starts looking at the stone, smiling. "This was given to me by a...Friend. Said friend was taken away by Lobotomy Corp, so I guess coming across this place was just luck."
Kalib would here panicked shuffling for a moment before the voice would begin speaking again. It would sound slightly more formal as if the person on the other side finally was starting to realize what was going on. ???: "Yeah, yeah, sorry about that boss. I'm coming up now...what a chore..." Finally the call would disconnect as Kalib's information began updating. Normally the process would already be done by the time he moves to a new department but the employee files seemed to still be lingering. The abnormality files, however, would update almost immediately. There would only be two in this department as it seemed the other cells were empty. One would have the distinct figure of a woman but her skin was a pale blue like ice. She carried a sword in her hand but that was the most Kalib could make out from the slightly cartoonish image. The other was what appeared to be a crowd of blonde haired mean. They looked almost...like normal humans aside from their oddly strange clothing which seemed to be made from murky green cloth. Respectively they were identified as F-01-37 and T-02-70. Suddenly the elevator would begin moving once more as if the power just switched back on. It would begin making its descent to the next section assuming Tatsuya and Eito were on it. The elevator would drop them off in another corridor with three different doors. There would be a door on the left, right, and straight down the middle at the end of the corridor. The door on the end would obviously be locked with a computer terminal next to it that would allow them to communicate with Kalib.
"Oh boy, more dark and spooky corridors. Can this place get any more ominous?" He mostly said that to himself as he started walking forwards, looking back to Tatsuya as his eyes started glowing for the briefest moment before once again fading with a blink. "Care to explain a bit about our situation? I don't have any idea what i'm doing." Approaching the terminal, he stares at it and cocks his head to the side but doesn't touch it.
Tatsuya would shrug, one can't be sure when dealing with such madness as this place... "Not a clue honestly, these abnormalities are all so unlike each other that I can only take wild guesses frankly. All I can say for sure is to be careful, and fuck's sake don't do anything like trying to rush em down." He'd then walk off to the terminal, typing out a quick message to Kalib with a curious look on his face. [Oi, what kinda madness do we have around here this time? I'm assuming it's low on details as per usual, which speaks to poor record keeping really doesn't it? But either way, gimme whatcha got."
"W-What a chore!? The work ethic in this place leaves a bit to be desired it would seem." The cartoonish images wouldn't get him anywhere as he stares at the screen, however their identification tags would. That being said, he would be caught off guard by a message before he could consult the journal. >Madness is you still sticking around. I can only assume we're getting deep into it now. But as it stands we have a blue lady with a sword, and a bunch of blonde fellas with green threads. I'll let you know if anything comes up! With that he'd hit enter and begin consulting the journal, starting with F-01-37.
Tatsuya and Eito would be able to see Kalib's response on the screen. Suddenly it seemed that the doors around them began to unlock as the current work procedure began. Kalib would find the name of the abnormality in the journal. It seemed the icy looking woman was fittingly named The Snow Queen. The quote that seemed to go along with her entry would read, "Ice is melting...We don't know if it's because spring is coming or the palace is crumbling." The employee info would finally display for Kalib showing 3 different employees for this area. The first would seem to have no special skills in any area. The second would seem to have a high justice and fortitude meaning he was good at hurting things and taking hits but his other skills were lacking. The last employee was the opposite of the second. They had high amounts of both temperance and prudence meaning they were good at thinking and conversing as well as being very resilient to temptation and having a high amount of patients. However, they were also quite fragile and couldn't take much physical abuse. Just as Kalib was presented with this information a man walked in with long green hair and eyes. His eyes looked slightly reddened and he seemed tired. He would look over to Kalib with a strangely relaxed smile. Noticeably there was something sticking out of his pocket. ???: "Hey, manager. You're new here right? I'm Netzach, head of the security team or something. Sorry about the whole lag in the system. I didn't realize you'd get to my department so soon. I usually keep things off, no point in having them on anyway since the security team doesn't do much."
[Right then... Well, any ideas on how we're dealing with these abnormalities? I guess I'll take a look at one of them.] The man walks off from the device, wandering away till he finds a door... To be exact it'd be the door to F-01-37. "Well then, let's see what kinda things we have in store this time. Something tells me I'll want to be wary of this one. Then again, that applies to all of them." Tatsuya walks through the doors, he'd simply look around the room and attempt to observe whatever he might find inside the chamber. Of course, one might also note the single hand that's up on his shoulder, quite close to his sword in fact.
Kalib puts down the journal and skims over the candidates before turning his attention to the new face. "Right. I am new here, please excuse any ignorance on my part. That being said... you'd think security would be important here, no? What with the insanely powerful specimens we house?" He sighs and turns his attention back to the monitor. The list of employees was slightly better than the last group, boasting more than one strong stat. His options were probably the cream of the crop for this level. He notices the response given by Tatsuya and simply nods. "That knucklehead is sure to go play with the Snow Queen. He should be fine... moreso than I would be... I'm getting shivers just thinking of the cold." He begins typing out a message to the third employee. >Hello, this is Kalib. Please enter the room of T-02-70. I'll be here to assist you as much as I can. Let's work together!
"I guess it's time to freeze our asses off!" Eito sighs as he follows close behind Tatsuya, one hand seemingly resting on Tyrfing's hilt, ready to draw the weapon at a moment's notice. He also moves the stone up to his mouth and speaks quietly into it. "Kid, do you hear me?"
