Shinjuku
A teenager with orange headphones stares at what looks like a DS as he walks along. Of course, a fluffy tail draws his eyes away from the screen. The next few seconds are spent resisting the urge to pet the fluffy thing.
Ina stares at the boy, before realizing that he's starting at her tail.
"Lemme guess, you want to pet it?"
Maddie however, had no idea where she was, she just wanted to get back to her hotel. She’s pretty sure she’s by a bunch of bars though, since there were so many drunk people bumping into her and hitting on her, she eventually makes it away from them and starts to talk to herself.
I can’t believe those people, don’t they realize not drinking would change their death date and let them live longer?
Niko arrives at Shinjuku, he pulls a suitcase with him.
"So, Shinjuku... I've only been to Crossroads, I've never taken the time to look around too much..."
He just kinda listens, hearing someone talking about some huge department store and someone from above whispering about how they miss someone with frizzy hair.
"Interesting sounds to say the least."
Shinjuku was a part of Tokyo that Jiyu didn’t even dare to go near, primarily because his mother constantly tells him to stay away from the place. But tonight (Or today, I dunno) Jiyu’s biting the bullet and is going to check out the place for the first time in his life. He casually strolls down the populated street with his hands in his pockets, glancing at the buildings around him.
A Sylveon leaned outside a shady looking building, reading "Dream Gal" in bright, pink neon lettering. It held some kind of substance with its ribbon as it gazed out at the vast city, every once in awhile inhaling the object wrapped in its ribbon. The Sylveon noticed a certain foxgirl and eyed her.
Well well, you're in quite the interesting part of town, foxgirl.
...I thought you’d never ask.
Kade pats the tail, quietly mumbling something about it “feeling real,†before giving a small headpat.
Thanks for that. I’ve never pet a foxgirl before.
He then steps aside as one of the drunken attempted flirters stumbles by.
Well, you’re certainly the most pure person around I guess. The crowd sets the bar pretty low.
Ina hears the familiar voice behind her, and instantly turns around.
"Sylveon!? Wow, it's been forever!"
She walks toward the Sylveon and pets her softly
And, as the boy touches her tail, she freezes up slightly and gets extremely flustered, and turns around instantly.
"T-THAT WASNT AN INVITATION! I was just asking!"
But as the headpat comes, she feels more relaxed and calm, but still seems somewhat flustered.
".......it did feel nice though."

Alex is adventuring! Though really it ain't that much fun, He wass currently spying on people when Ina caught his eye.
"Probably a Beast, or Aberration, or both. Animal people are kinda weird," he whispered to himself.
Sylveon giggled, her insatiable persona falling as she is petted on the head. Her tail wags; almost like an actual Pokemon rather than a little smartass.
Ah, these last few months have been quite eventful for me~ it's a long story. But I seem to be back in my groove.
Maddie exits the alley and tries to make her way around, dodging the occasional drunken flirter.
If only my stupid phone wasn’t dead, I’d have directions out of here and away from all these drunks.
When Maddie sees Kade petting Ina she instantly gets the wrong idea and runs up.
Hey, I don’t care how drunk you are and how adorable those ears are, stop getting touchy feely with the fox girl!
Niko looks over and he sees the Sylveon as well as Jiyu.
"Good, some familiar faces."
He decides to rush over to Sylveon.
"Hey, how are you doing today?"
Ina turns back toward the Sylveon.
"You're still as cute as ever! And yeah, same here. The cafe keeps getting exploded for some reason, and in the ashes I keep seeing the word plot. It weird. But I'm starting to get back on my feet with my maid job."
Hm...? I guess I jumped the gun there. Sorry about that. Still no regrets though.
Kade glances down at his “gaming device’s†screen again before addressing Maddie with his perpetual smile. It wasn’t exactly entirely friendly; it was a little fake but not fake enough to be very threatening.
I’m about as drunk as you are, lady. Just a misunderstanding on all sides.
Ina turns back towards the boy
"S-Sorry.... My tail is really sensitive, it gets me extremely flustered when someone touched it... But I didn't mind the touch after the headpat...."
She also turns to Maddie
"I-Its fine! Sure, he didn't ask, even though he should have, but I didn't mind it!"

Taking notice of the group of individuals near the familiar fox girl, Jiyu slowly heads over to them with his hands still resting in his pockets.
“Oh hey, a group of people to talk to. How’s it going guys?â€
Maddie seems to stare at Kade’s forehead.
Strange, I saw them on all the drunks. Why are you different? Actually, why are you trying to grab a fox girls tail? Didn’t anyone ever teach you about personal space?
Hmm, perhaps you should take out an insurance policy. As long as we suffer under the weight of capitalism you may as well take advantage of it, dear.
Sylveon winks at Ina and waves at Niko and Jiyu with her free ribbon.
Why hello there~ came back for more of this incomparable atmosphere, yes? and you brought someone new along. As they said in Neon City, the bigger the crowds, the better the afterparty.
She turns back to the sylveon
"I have no idea what you're talking about, but like I said, my maid job is getting me a good amount of money! I'm fine!"
Askull pops up and says "Sup," as if this is normal. For some reason, no one else is noticing.
A young girl giggles as she skips through the city streets, all these sights are something new and grand to her, its a little bit exciting. She travels on her own for a while, before performing a quick turn and asking seemingly no one
"Where should we go first?"
After a short pause, the girl nods and heads towards the a large department store
In my defense, the tail was tantalizingly fluffy. I’ll ask next time I see a fox-girl.
Kade lets out a small breath and closes the device most of the way. He still has the two halves wedged between a finger, though, just in case he needs it open fast.
So, is there something on my face, or are you just hypnotized by my beauty? ...Kidding, but still.
Niko pats his suitcase.
"Well, I was thinking of staying here in Shinjuku, the place I was living at burned down."
He nervously smiles.
"Plus I'm pretty sure you offered..."
Maddie shakes her head.
It’s not that something is on your face, it’s that something that should be on your forehead isn’t. I’m gonna be honest, I can see numbers on people’s foreheads, and these numbers, they’re, predictions, specifically the date someone is going to die. Most people have one, but for some reason a decent amount of people here don’t.
She sighs
I swear I’m not crazy.
"A-Actually....."
She stares at Kade, blushing.
"I-If you want you can.... Pet it again?"
Jiyu blankly stares at the talking ribbon dog creature with a look of confusion on his face. “So this city really has ‘em all...†he thought to himself. He only had one question for the creature.
“Are you some sorta dog or something?â€
Hat Kid soon appears... not really know why shes here but she didn't care really
(I was going to be conker until I saw Sylveon)
Most people would denounce that as being insane. Kade, on the other hand, is not most people. He takes a moment to think about it before snapping his device shut.
So you’re a Death Clock on steroids? Time, date, everything? Neat. And lemme guess: like the Death Clocks I know, the time can be altered?
I'm saying, you could get a lot more if you had someone to pay for the damages. Of course, whether you actually spend the money on repairs is up to you.
Sylveon took another smoke of the substance she held, glancing between Ina and Kade.
Hmmmm~ am I witnessing the birth of a new romance?
She turned to Niko and nodded in affirmation.
I did~ my door is open to you anytime, dear. And if you wanted to help me out at the club, it'd be appreciated. It pays well and the work is easy enough, if you have the charm for it.
Sylveon looked slightly offended by Jiyu's comment, as she flashed him a disapproving, scornful look before returning to her typical swag.
I am a Sylveon~ and I am much more refined than a street mutt. Perhaps you'd like to get to know me better sometime.
Maddie shakes her head in a no motion.
All I see is the date. And contrary to popular belief it’s really hard to change someone’s date. I’ve only seen it twice in the whole time I’ve been alive. Once someones date kept jumping between the current day and a time 30 years in the future. I was able to use that to save his life. The other all I had to do was point his hour but, any other time I’m 99.9% accurate. It’s why I don’t watch tv anymore, I know the date of the downfall of every star in Hollywood.
Niko lets go of the suitcase and hugs Sylveon.
"Thankyouthankyouthankyou!"
He lets go and blushes.
"Eh, sorry... Anyway..."
Niko runs his hand over his hair.
"I think I could help out at the club, just uh, tell me what to do. Also hopefully alcohol is part of the deal."
He gets up and grabs hold of his suitcase.
Hat Kid who was now just walking around notice Sylveon and waved to her
"Hi Syveon"
Behide Hat Kid was a adult who kinda looked a lot like her
That Adult's name was Hat Adult
Well, date is better than nothing. At least you don’t have a “within 10 days†thing. There’s this one guy I know who could alter that date easily, but that’s a long story. I’ll tell ya about it if we meet again.
With a wave, he leaves, turning his attention back to the screen.
Let’s see... I can get Garm and Pixie... but maybe going for fusing a Mitama is...
Maddie waves back, but she’s more lost in thought than anything.
Is it really possible to change a date that easily? Wouldn’t there be consequences?
Confused, Maddie walks off, eventually making it back to her hotel where she goes to bed.
“Yeah, it would be nice to get to know another person, erm, Sylveon was it?â€
Looking at Sylveon’s appearance a bit more, Jiyu slowly gets reminded of a certain Espeon that he saw at a library.
“Y’know, you kinda look like that librarian who literally threw a kid out of their library.â€

Sylveon giggled, she was not so shy and returned Niko's hug without hesitation, using her ribbons of course. She smirked at his flustered expression as he pulled away.
Hmhm, you're so cute, Niko dear~
She couldn't help but lower her eyes to the briefcase that he possessed and eyed it curiously.
Hmmm, I wonder what's in there? money? a bomb? someones hand?~
Sylveon looked to Hat Kid as she greeted her, looking peculiarly at her company as she took another smoke.
Hmm, am I tripping already, or is this a relative of yours?
Sylveon instantly knew who Jiyu was talking about and chuckled.
Ah yes, you refer to Espeon. He's quite a cutie~ if only a bit reserved... He needs to come out of his shell more.
"O-Oh... He's gone..."
Ina looks dissapointed for a second, before perking back up and sitting next to the sylveon, softly petting it once more.
"Oh"
Hat Kid turn around as looks at Hat Adult before looking back at Sylveon
"Nope, shes adult me from another universe"
Hat Adult sighs before nodding
"What she said is true, I am from another universe. well another universe's Nexus"
Niko laughs.
"Oh, there's nothing like that in there. Although I wish it was money. It's just clothes and other necessities."
He taps his foot.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting your conversation, friends but uh..."
He looks a bit nervous.
"W-would you mind showing me to your place, Sylveon?"
After hearing the name of the librarian, Jiyu immediately noticed the “eon†present in both the names “Sylveon†and “Espeon†and wonders if both of them are actually related in a way. It seems unlikely, but it could be a possibility.
“So you actually know each other... That’s really not a surprise.â€
Silently glancing to the side, Jiyu takes notice of both Hat Adult and Hat Kid then looks away from them.
Sylveon shrugged as she looked at the hat family, taking it surprisingly well. She seemed to enjoy the headpats from Ina as she wagged her tail, relaxing her.
Well, there's stranger things I've found. At any rate, welcome to Shinjuku, the greatest city in the Nexus~
Sylveon smiled teasingly at Niko, shooting him a solicitous look.
Ara, how very bold of you~ my suite is more than capable of holding us both without it being too crowded. I'll even get you a spare key. I never go back on my promises.
Sylveon strutted up to Niko and stood alongside him as she looked at the others.
Well, shall I bid you adieu? my friend here needs to settle in a new residency.
Hat Kid nods and she and Hat adult left
Ina smiles
"I don't mind! Go ahead, Sylveon!"
Niko looks over to Sylveon, ready to follow her.
"Well, lead the way I guess."
Jiyu watched as Niko and Sylveon made their departure. As he does that, he immediately stiffens up as if he were electrocuted. Right after, he puts two fingers up to the side of his head as if he was talking to someone telepathically.
“D-Don’t scare me like that! Huh? Look, mom’s not gonna be that mad at me...â€
An unsatisfied expression appears on Jiyu’s face. By the way, who is he talking to?
“...We risk our lives in ‘the other world’ everyday. How could going to Shinjuku for a few minutes be as bad as that?†*Sigh* “Can you just shut up until we get home?â€
Jiyu walks off towards the train station, putting his white headphones on his ears.
