Long Journey's Final Respite
You find yourself under a sea of stars that stretched out as far as the eye could see. The feeling of grass tickling your back as the cool autumn air brushes against your skin. A clearing surrounded by a trees and up ahead you see a single camp fire and some logs arranged around it for you and any other who arrived to sit upon. You don't really remember how you came here. Some of you may have been on your way to your final battle. Others at a crossroad that would determine their fate. While some may have simply been tired from a long journey to which they will soon find its end. Whatever the reason, you now find yourself here under the stars as a single woman sat on one of the logs. A warm drink waiting for you with just enough cups for everyone present. A pot hanging over the flame from a pit as you smelled the alluring scent of well made stew. For now you can find respite before your journeys end.
A young, blue-haired schoolgirl awakens under the night sky. The girl slowly leans sits up, stretching before rubbing her eyes to better take in her surroundings. She’d take note of the woman, and get back on her feet before waving to them and walking towards the fire Look kinda lonely out here, mind if I join in?
A man in a strange suit of armor jolts awake, as if waking up from a terrible nightmare. He looks around in confusion, before noticeing the woman. He approaches and awkwardly waves.
The woman gives them both a warm smile, nodding to Sayaka as she gestures towards the nearby logs for them to sit upon. She would soon pass them both a cup of what seemed to be heated fruit juice that was made from scratch. The sound of the crickets within the forest making a chorus alongside the sounds of nature. The calming atmosphere almost surreal as she occasionally opens the pot to stir it's contents. You could tell that where ever it was you found yourself was untouched by the hands of man. No signs of light pollution to blot out the stars and no pollution to make stale the crisp air you breathe in. Simply the light rustling of a cool breeze was enough for your sense of smell to pick up the many natural flora that surrounded you.
The man nods and accepts the cup, carefully setting it down before removing his helmet. His face is battered and bruised, yet his expression shows his determination has not wavered. He takes a sip of the juice and smiles, clearly having not enjoyed such pleasures in a long time.

Kai
*Kai awakens with a yawn. He looks around tiredly.* Well, this is certainly new for me. Still, recognise at least one of ya, so I guess it can't be all that bad. *With that, Kai leaps to his feet, checking his pocket to check if his sunglasses were undamaged, whch they thankfully were, before making his way over to the others.* Don't mind if I join ya, aye?
Sayaka is somewhat relieved to be able to take her own seat, accepting the warm cup and blowing gently across in order to cool it before she takes a sip. Unused to the quiet sounds of nature, Sayaka tries to get a conversation going Thanks for the drink ma’am. My name’s Sayaka Miki, how about you two? The girl asks, raising an eyebrow and glancing between her companions
The woman would nod to Kai as well, gesturing for him to sit on one of the nearby logs. She would pass him a cup of the same juice she gave to the other two. The silence continued for while longer before she finally looked up to everyone once more. "I hope the juice is to your liking." Her clear bell like voice reaching your ears. The juice helping to warm you. Slowly, one by one you began to see small lights come out of the nearby forest, fireflies slowly floating around, their light dimming and brightening every few seconds. As if they didn't fear being seen they shined their lights in the clearing as they moved through. "I am Anatolia. It is a pleasure to meet you."
Kai
*Kai would look at the fireflies in the clearing before looking around a bit more, with a look of suspicion. He takes another sip of his juice.* Names Kai. I'm no-one important. Just a nameless wanderer. Nice to meetcha, Anatolia.
The man presses a button on his suit, which activates a holographic ID which reads: ISAAC CLARKE ENGINEER AGE: 49 ASSIGNMENT: KELLION CREW
"The stars are quite clear tonight" looking up at the never ending sea of stars above "Jewels of the night sky whom guides the wayfaring souls of those who have met the end of their journey. Each telling a different story and thus passing it's wisdom to those who yet continue on their own untrodden path." She turns her gaze to the fireflies that flit around the area as one landed on her shoulder and another on her hand. "These tales are shared so that we may learn. And this place left behind by all those who were on their way to see their paths end so that others who carry a heavy burden may also find a moments respite. Away from all that ails them. So they may once again walk that path with renewed resolve." The firefly on her shoulder flies to the one on her hand before they both fly off together. "In this way we all remain connected." She stood up once more to stir the contents of the pot. "Does anyone want beef and vegetable stew?"
The juice is good, thanks! Nice to see ya Anatolia, Isaac. Old guy The girl smiles, taking another drink of her juice before setting it down and crossing her legs and leaning back So you just like hearing stories then? That’s pretty cool. Not a bad place to share Sayaka sits back up straight before nodding Sure, I haven’t eaten in a while so I’ll try the stew
Isaac perks up. the thought of food seems to lift his spirits. He eagerly awaits his meal.
Kai
*Kai scowls at Sayaka.* I'm may be old compared to you, Kid, but I'm just outta my teens. I'm 23 in November, though I do sometimes feel twice that. Though, since I am older than you, I'll pass on some advice. Stop playing with knives. You'll cut yourself one of these days. *Kai smirks, chuckling lightly before looking back to Anatolia* Stories, eh? Sure, I got a few a them. But about what you? What's your story?
Anatolia carefully uses a wooden ladle to poor the stew into the bowls and pass them around to everyone. The stew had the fragrant scent of numerous herbs meant to help with relaxation and small chunks of meat floated in it. "Anatolia. In my tribe it is more a title than a name. It means 'storyteller or archivist' and 'one who brings peace'. Mine is a simple story beyond that. I'm a traveler who hears the stories of weary travelers and brings peace to the souls who yet move on from this world. In this place of respite my sole honor is to allow those like yourself to find rest along your journey. I will not pry if you do not wish but may I hear your stories as well?" A warm smile on her face. The stew wouldn't be anything spectacular but you could feel the warmth and care that was put into making it spread through your body with every bite. It warmed not only the body but the soul or at the very least made you feel that way.
Sayaka lets out a sigh, standing back up to cross her arms and glare at Kai And I’ll have you know I can take care of myself. I’m not just some brat alright? Besides, I’m already 15 Sayaka gestures towards herself, as though proud of having made it that far before sitting back down in time to get her bowl. She wouldn’t start eating yet, instead trying to think of something interesting she’s done that’s not related to her... Unusual job. She remains silent for a bit before starting on her stew I’m uh... Not sure if I’ve done much you’d be interested in. I’m mostly a student after all... Sayaka’s legs fisher nervously as she waits for the other two to say something
Isaac tries to focus on the stew, but can't help but overhear their conversation.
Kai
Me? Ha. I ain't no-one special. I'm a nameless wanderer. I help people for money. I can't help what trouble I get too when I'm on the road. Though, there was a time when I was with friends and my... *Kai stops himself, clears his throat and starts again* Anyways. We got into adventures. It was pretty fun at times and frustrating at others. But that's the past. Their mostly all gone now, and so I just... wander. Nothing too major, as I said. *Kai laughs dryly.* Sorry for not bein intresting. As I said, I've got a few intresting stories, but their mostly about other people. I'm dull in comparison, really.
"In the eyes of the world our lives are but moments, however it is these moments that create history. It is that history where tales are born that weave the tapestry of life. Regardless of if these tales are of oneself matters not. Only that they are shared so that they are not forgotten." she would give a small smile "though of course whether you decide to share them is your own decision. It does not have to be with me. It can be with someone else to whom you hold dear so that you can share with them a part of yourself." She turned her gaze to the dancing flames. "In my clan we share these stories with each other so that we do not forget our ancestors and the lessons they learned. We give our thanks to the solar deer, Avune and lunar wolf, Ciel for the time of perseverance and time of rest. We share with nature so that it shares with us. The story of the lost traveler. The story of the curious spirit. The journey of Tavier to the spirit world Krishna. Al of these things bind us together. Even the painful memories become a reminder of what was and what will be. Surely your stories will bind you to the ones you love one day."
Kai
You are really good at making long speechs that make absolutely no sense. *Kai rested his head on one of his knuckles.* So, to sum up, your a storyteller from a clan that exsists, but we prolly haven't heard. You listen to the stories of others and "tell them to the stars" so they may "live forever". *Kai chuckles slightly* Sorry if that makes ya feel annoyed or that I'm disrespecting ya. I'm not trying to. I'm trying to shorten your statement. Your speech pattern is nice an all, but a simpleton like myself can't really understand ya.
Sayaka adjusts her uniform a bit before standing back up and clearing her throat W.. Well if it’s fine for them to be about other people, then I guess I’ve got one. Sayaka takes a step away from the fire to get some space to start It started off as a pretty normal day, my best friend Madoka and I were shopping at the mall, listening to some new songs, that sorta stuff, when I looked up to find Madoka had ran off somewhere. So of course I looked for her Sayaka mines looking around, one hand shading her eyes I ran up and down the mall with no sign of her, ‘till I happened to pass by the old, defunct parking garage and heard some shouting. So of course I followed it to find Madoka running from some crazy girl with a gun
Sayaka gestures towards herself as she continues Of course I couldn’t just stand there, and fortunately there was a fire extinguisher nearby. So I just grabbed it, and sprayed that other girl so Madoka and I could run Sayaka mimes holding a fire extinguisher before running in place That’s when things got REALLY weird. We ran for a bit and in no time the garage around us changed into some kinda weird, papery rose gardens filled with dozens of these little white things with big mustaches. The little things didn’t seem to like us very much, and started closing in. When BAM Sayaka makes a little finger gun and mimicked shooting That’s when Mami appeared, this beautiful older girl with yellow hair took out all of the things in an instant, before leading all four of us, me, Madoka, herself, and this weird little cat-like thing Madoka had found, out of there.
"I apologize for being long winded" she let out a chuckle to Kai'a words. Afterwards she would turn her attention to Sayaka. Watching each movement with intrigue and and hanging on each word she spoke. Smiling all the while as she listened to the blue haired girl speak. The fire flies, almost as if apart of the story seemed to cluster together into shapes as if they wanted to help her tell the story. Each thing she described the fire flies would make the attempt to share that shape and bring her story to life though some things were a bit exaggerated. "A story of mystery, struggles, and friendship. You seem to have very unique experiences that make for interesting tales. I also like the enthusiasm in acting them out. You may have a talent for it. Did anything else happen afterwards?" a slight tilt of her head, showing her clear interest as she had a gleam in her eyes.
Well, uh... Sayaka loses her steam for a moment, most of that had just kinda come out, but since she has already went that far, and at least one person here already knew After that the animal Madoka saved introduced himself as Kyubey, and offered to turn the two of us into Magical Girls so we could fight monsters like the ones Mami had saved us from. But neither of us were really sure yet, so instead we started hanging out and following Mami as Magical Girls in-training
