Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz Remake
As some of you may know, I am a big fan of the Super Monkey Ball series, and with the announcement of the remake today, I thought I’d come out of my lurker status and share my thoughts on this. As of right now, I am disappointed. I was really hoping for an announcement for the main series of Super Monkey Ball, not the spin offs. Especially since Banana Blitz is one of the worst spin off games. Why wouldn’t they choose to remake VII or the first Monkey Ball game? Fans have been requesting it forever now! It just makes me sad, the team behind the Super Monkey Ball series are usually really good with listening to their fans, but this seems like the opposite. I know people still enjoy it, but when a vast majority of the fanbase is really hoping for a new game from the main series, well, its just saddening. In the end I cannot change this decision, and will just have to go with it. If they announce some new stuff for it, maybe I’ll be more interested. Like possible Add-ons with the casts from XV and XVI. If nothing new gets added, well it’ll be a pass from me and I’ll continue waiting till they release a new game or remake of this great JRPG series.
Final Fantasy is my favorite physics ball action game
Super Monkey Ball revolves around the story of 4 monkeys who are cursed by an evil monkey witch to be trapped inside balls. The monkeys at first are frightened and don't know what to do. It isn't until the big boy monkey says, "C'mon guys, lets not be sad, we can adapt to this new way of life!" The monkeys then did just that. They learned how to use these balls as a new way of transportation. It isn't until they meet the witch again the baby monkey says, "Lets kill her and get out of these balls!" With this the other monkeys agree. This begins their journey through the world of Round Earth. Now, Super Monkey Ball is a perfect game for RPG fans. It has something for everyone. It has a vast open world full of many secrets, random encounters, a vast amount of skills, and an engaging plot! I couldn't put down my Virtual boy while playing this game! The RPG mechanics are great in themselves and COMPLETELY revolutionize how RPGs can be, honestly its amazing. And don't even get me STARTED on the fucking soundtrack, holy shit! The battle music, the boss music, everything! Its god damn beautiful. Now if this hasn't gotten you convinced, I don't know whats wrong with you. Now, spoilers here. There is one part that drags on. Its when the Female monkey dies. She tells the baby monkey something vastly important to the plot, but since its a baby, it cant really talk. So the monkey's have to find a teacher to teach the baby how to speak and tell the monkeys what the female monkey said. Now, you may be wondering, why does this part drag on? Because you gotta play as the baby and take tests! Its annoying, and if you fail too many tests, you have to attend Monkey Summer School, and man thats just a whole thing I don't want to get on about. But once you get past that, the gam gets right back on track with its greatness. Eventually it all comes down tobthe final battle with the witch, who turns out stole the female monkeys soul and is now using it for evil, so the monkeys have to kill the female monkey again, and then kill the witch. It was an amazing battle. The game is a masterpiece. If you haven't played it yet, you should. I give Super Monkey Ball a 15/10, goodnight
How could the baby monkey say to kill the witch if he couldn't talk at that point?
To answer your question Alph, it goes a bit into spoiler territory so click at your own risk if you don't want to experience the game yourself. The baby is able to say that at the beginning because it was actually the baby from the future who went back in time to help make the main cast start their journey. They didn't think killing the witch would solve their problems until the baby said it. This is all revealed in the epilogue episode where the Witch's henchman tries to undo everything in the past by trying to convince the Monkey's that they would always be stuck in the balls. Its revealed that he was the Mustachioed man in the beginning of the game. Its up to the baby who see's the henchman go back in time to try and motivate the monkeys.
Let's keep this going. Super Monkey Ball is one of my favorite JRPGs of all time. Personally, I'm hoping they remake Super Monkey Ball III. Being able to customize your own character was rather limited considering how old school it is which is why I think we could see a lot of improvements in a remake. I'd love to see what they do to change the Roller and Defiler Classes as well since those classes were among some of the more broken ones in the games, especially if you stacked skill sets from both those classes on one character. The damage outputs got really high really fast considering the high amount of dps from the roller class and all the automatic attack buffs from the defiler class.

Super Monkey Ball III would be such a joy to re-experience again. It's the one Super Monkey Ball that really helped the series become stronger and it helped to bring the good parts of it into later entries that expanded upon the original ideas. With those now improved ideas, a remake of III would be phenomenal. I wonder if they would add in some newer classes as well especially from Super Monkey Ball VI. Personally I would love to see the Banana Berserker Class come back as it only appeared in VI. Other than that, the Roller and Defiler Classes will need a lot of work done to balance them out, they helped to cheese a lot of End Game fights and especially helped with the secret Post Game boss The Spherical World-Ender. Though they were fun to use, I'd like to see them balanced, but if they stay the same, I'd respect it as an homage to Super Monkey Ball fans who know how to make those classes broken.
Honestly Super Monkey Ball IV was WAY too happy after what happened in Super Monkey Ball III. Especially after they started milking the series. Like, who asked for Super Monkey Ball IV: Dancing all Night?

And then they put Super Monkey Ball Q2 on the 3DS. I mean come on, who even plays their 3DS anymore? Should’ve put it on the Virtual Boy.
Why would it be on the virtual boy? It should of been on the NES duh
