chihaya's rank 7 is invaluable!!

If you're able to do the dungeons day one then maxing out all SLs on a regular ng is easy enough. doing it on ng+ means you wont have any problem at all

Like pure-anon said, prioritise Chihaya for the affinity reading. I'd also say focus on Kawakami so you can go out at night after a Metaverse trip at Rank 10.

Also do I need a shadow of a person's arcana in order to increase their social link. Idk how that works.

Not to increase it, but if you have a persona of their arcana it makes them rank up faster.

the same-arcana bonus also applies to chihaya's affinity readings!!

Tip 1) Know that you will liky finish all 10 with 14 days before the end of the game. SO BREATH.

Tip 2) Max out Kawakami asap. Her rank 10 Massage allows you to do stuff at night after mementos/palace. Abuse this to work on night confidants, or clearing conditions for confidence like working at the beef shop twice

Tip 3) Having max social stats in NG+ makes life better. Otherwise, try to be atleast lv4 all round and the confidants you have will naturally push you the rest of the way.

Tip 4) Never let a day be wasted. ALWAYS interact with someone. If there is noone to interact with, use a palace, or work at the beefshop, Lala's, or 777 store (need to work twice at each for request conditions).

Tip 5) Look at your quick travel map. Pressing Square opens a list of people who are currently available, and if they are ready for a rank up

Tip 6) Level up the fortune teller. Her (rank 7?( ability allows you to specifically choose 1 confidant to gain boosted exp. So right before you choose one, see her during the day, pay for the boost, then fast travel to your confidant.

Tip 7) Have the persona that matches the confidant.

The ideal is to always have them level up every time you talk to them.
This won't happen all the time, but if every confidant is taking 2 or more "dates" to activate the next level, you won't make it.

Correction for tip 5:
Pressing square opens a list of the current location your cursor is on.

chihaya's rank 7 doesn't boost your rank up!! it just gives you additional points as the time of the reading!!

for example, if is 1 point away from ranking up and i get an affinity reading for her from chihaya, ohya will then be able to be ranked up that day!!

Ok, I've spent a bunch of time with Sojiro and he's not leveling up, that's a story thing right?

Sojiro wont go past 4 until you get futaba

Sojiro requires you to make coffee at night, at the left hand of the table.

I think it plays off proficiency?
When you make it, he'll come in and try it. If he likes it, it'll unlock the next social rank.

This is, of course, after Futuba is saved.

Kawakami, at higher levels, can make Coffee or Curry without you wasting the evening doing it yourself

Thanks for these tips. I put 100 hours into my first playthrough and didn't know some of this stuff. I'm on NG+ and am hopefully gonna max out all social links.

First playthrough i didnt even have all the confidants
