Well the general consensus of the tomato is a matter of public belief. The majority will assume and see tomatoes as vegetables. Even though I'm well aware of the tomatoes anatomy, I see it as a vegetable due to the way it tastes, not sweet. As many fruit are known for, sweet and acidic.
