Well...

This universe we now reside in, is potentially not supposed to exist. The boundaries that normally keep the multiverse nice and separate weakened to the point that they started allowing residue from other universes seep together. This continual seepage eventually bonded together these universes into what we're currently residing in.

Now why the universal boundaries have weakened is beyond me, but this is my theory on it.

With as many universes ruled by the thoughts of the people jumbled together here I doubt we'd separate just from defeating the sins. Even having made the theory it feels far fetched to me in a way.

I tried to drift somewhere else because I was just sick of everything, then I go into this alley and reality shifted... A wormhole or something? Then a weird lady named Izanami says "Do you wish to get vengeance for your brother?" I accepted, so I had a friendly chat with my shadow, and next thing I know I have a Persona.

Everything got weird for awhile.

Then I walked into LeBlanc. There was no going back.

The rest is history.

why the boundaries are weakened is simple, as the universe always aims for entropy, a state where everything is evenly distributed, it only makes sense for the multiverse to work in a similar way

In other words our universes have a natural tendency to "drift" towards each other, these sections of overlap brought us to this sort of place where many things that would normally never be together, can be together, thus giving access to this.... Thing

It's more likely that this universe was the one the others converged onto, rather than it being made from them coming together, right? I doubt it'd be impossible, but I at least think it makes more sense.

So, was LaBlanc here before the universes collided then? LaBlanc from the P5 universe though...

I would think anyone hailing from this particular universe is an amalgamation of various portions of other universes. It'd be impossible to tell when this universe truly began after all. Even if it's based on borrowed parts, this universe could eventually spawn it's own unique features.

well since the butterfly here felt the need to bring up the sins, its obvious that, if nothing else, the sins are capable of using the nexus to travel to and wreak havoc on other worlds, which means, of course, that if we don't stop them our own worlds and those of many others, likely many we've never met, will ultimately be destroyed

Well... It was 2017 when I came here as in my world, so I never noticed anything odd.

My brother was arrested 6 years ago... I'm absolutely sure. I was still in elementary school.

So while my timeline did not change, everyone else has. And even this world has really weird qualities... I definitely couldn't summon a Persona in public until I walked into LeBlanc.

Could it be we are being toyed with...? Or brought together to this bizzare, eldritch place for a reason?

And the sins... Maybe they're related. This is all a lot bigger than us.

I am convinced that a higher power REQUIRES our presence here. That would explain why such strange people keep getting drawn here often without knowing why, and also why the cafe and it's customers always seem to survive through the most ridiculous of situations. Or at least, the place gets rebuilt within hours.

Kazuya, Emerson, its clear to me that these things seem to have enough power on their own.

Imagine that each vessel is a cup, the amount of water in it symbolizes their power. If you were going to pour out the water and replace it with your own, much greater reserve, would you be more worried about what is currently in the cup, or how much that cup could hold?

it would make sense for the sins to start with a safe bet, people who clearly have a lot of power such as the Wild Cards, after all, if a cup already holds plenty of water, then you know it will continue to hold a large amount.

Those of us who aren't as blessed would act as the riskier bets, people the sins believe have potential, but if it turns out to be a waste of their time then there's no major loss

there are many forms of power beyond fighting, information is one of them. Power is the capacity to influence events, and as a well-informed strategy can easily turn the tides of a battle, or even prevent one from happening at all, its safe to say some of them would be taking this into account.
