Sorry about the delay, been slammed at work.

Try to replace the gauze every 4 hours for two days.

Between each gauze change, clean it again with peroxide and bottled water.

Once the swelling starts going down, and it's looking better, switch it to first thing in the morning, and right before bed.

It should be fine after 4 days or so to let it breath again after following the above instructions.

Paramedics use it a lot over here, and it's no screw around stuff.
It's also fairly affordable. I use it all the time for other injuries I tend to cause myself, or my accident proned co-workers.
