Persona 3 FES: The Answer has pretty good writing and characterization but the actual gameplay is terribly grindy and I think people just get really salty about it because of the shift in tone and gameplay because there's nothing like Social Links to lessen the pain.

Also while it's not my favorite, Persona 4 I still believe it's one of the better entries in the franchise.
