Like everyone has been saying, you need to really FEEL your character. You need to channel them through you for every single word you type. Well- I mean I guess you can just act but like... I take things to the extreme.

Seriously though, just type everything as if you are the character responding. It's fairly simple once you get the hang on it.

The others are correct though in saying being a character like you helps. However- it also helps if you really love or admire the character as well.

So long as you keep your love for the character in check it really helps to know a lot about them and care about them.
