It's game play is more like the Etrian Odyssee games .
You can choose either P3 or P4 route but get both sites anyway, just the Story differs but the ending is the same.

It is more cute and they show in lots of Moments for both sites.

Also the best thing for me was the second dungeon, because I laughed somuch at it.

Persona (BB)Q

Persona Q is a non-canon spin-off for the 3DS that literally retcons itself at the end.
Basically it's a crossover between P3 and P4 and you can play from either protagonists view. The gameplay for the most part is based on the Etrian series, but spices it up with Persona elements.

I hate it because it boils all the characters down to jokes and memes that aren't funny, the plot is kinda dumb and like I said, basically retcons itself at the end anyway.
The idea is all right but it mixes in Persona elements ina rather uncomfortable fashion and removes a good chunk of why I like Etrian to begin with. The entire aesthetic also bothers me, seriously several dungeons hurt to look at.

Who honestly knows if it's considered canon. I've heard people argue if it's canon or not before, but the ending makes it so utterly pointless that I refuse to consider it canon because even if it is canon in the long run, it affects literally nothing outside of Q itself.

- I didn't like etrian odyssey but I liked Persona Q! Basically, since I'm pretty biased, I have now gained an appreciation for Etrian Odyssey thanks to Persona Q.

- the MAZES GET PRETTY DIFFICULT (and enemies). I think they got the whole maze/puzzle/quiz stuff from Persona Q [for Persona 5], or at least got ideas from it, instead of keeping it like how Persona 3 and 4 was.

- the OST is super g r e a t

- the entire game is cute (well, I mean, almost all. The horror stage is scary hahahah)

- story, imo, I enjoyed :')

I got the game back in 2014 and I'm still early in the game. (why the hell did I start on risky?) Anyways, even at that point, the one thing I don't like about Q is that it pretty much turns the characters into giant parodies of themselves. The worst that I can remember so far being Akihiko.
