Am I insane?
I really liked Yoshida's confidant, but I never see anyone talk about it. I'd go as far to say his was my favorite. I don't know why but it just is.

Yoshida's confidant is one of my favorites in the game next to Sojiro's.

Probably because it's not the most obvious Confidant to start off and because, unlike every other Confidant, it has a deadline - November 17th.
