*starts driving out of the city* We're going to Mistral, so we'll have to take a boat. Salem is likely trying to get her hands on the other powers of the Maidens. If my hunch is right, Salem will be training Cinder to use her power in a place of peace and purity. Sanctum Ruins is our best chance

Oh. We need to go to the harbour up north, since Vale's harbor is out of order. The northern one is closest, a couple of villages up north, so about six hours, plus rest stops. The rest of the harbors would take a few days, so the northern harbor is the best choice as of late.

Should we at least stop at some hotels, I get free access with guests too

Ryu... lets get the facts as we understand it. We're in the middle of a destroyed city and all the buildings are just turned to rubble and on top of that it looks like a nuclear winter.

*nods* We'll stop at inns on the way there. We could also do some jobs for the villages to get some lien to spend, for food, water, and other personal needs.

*begins to shoot at both of them*

*runs out of Mona, throwing Akouo at the Deathstalker, and slicing at the King Taijitu* Hunter, shoot the stinger! I'll slice it off!!

*begins quickening up to the tail and jabs a timed molotov coktail in it*

It's PRIMED and READY!

*jumps off the giant tail and runs away from it*

*throws a spare dagger at the tail as the Molotov explodes, dropping the stinger onto the Deathstalker's head, then slams full body weight onto the stinger, killing the Grimm*

*gets foot caught in the jaws of the King Taijitu's white head, being bound by the body of the black head* No! Hunter!

*is struggling against the grip of the snake-like creature, the jaws of the black head ready to strike* H-Hunter! Help!

*draws out a enlarged hammer and crushes the black snake head and blows a whistle which a giant Taijitu and bites off the white head*

When I was walking around a giant building on a island called... was it Menaegerie? I've heard that this group called the White Fang caused it.

I learned at Sanctum Academy, in the kingdom of Mistral. I also had a tutor who sparred often with me, though he had a terrible illness and passed away a year before I was accepted into Beacon... He was only in his early thirties, but life has to continue its cycle, of course...

And The White Fang are under the influences of Salem, due to her connection with Adam Taurus..

Well Ryu, a friend of mine by the name of Eileen the Crow and Gerhman taught me. Eileen... may god have his blessing on her soul taught me the art of quickening which is teleporting and Gehrman taught every weapon under it tutelage.

Eileen died from a member from Cainhurst... a blood ravenous knight ended her. I wear her crow shawl in remembrance, and Gerhman thought I to was blood drunk, but I was going helping him be free from his captivity, then a Great One made me a surrogate child and became a keeper of the Hunter's Dream, until Pyrrah gave me the chance that I longed for so long... fredom.

Right. *starts Mona, drives through alternative road into the mountains, out of the way of the cleric beasts* I can't guarantee there won't be any Grimm this route, but it's blessed with the power of the Brother of Light, so there should be little to no Grimm along these roads.

This mountain range is so vast... If those cleric beasts weren't there, we'd be in the village of Kouan by now...

I think the cleric beasts cannot climb those mountains... so I think it's safe.

Great. Anyways, we're nearing a village. Welcome to Rockland, one of the villages high in the mountain ranges of Sanus.

*takes out a box of sweet rolls, jerky, and fresh cold salads*

*parks at an inn* Hold onto the food. I should still have access to my Lien Card here, so we'll be able to rest for the night and have a couple of decent meals.

And here we are. *hands key labeled '18' to Ryuzaki* Here. Make yourself comfortable, Ryuzaki-kun, I'll be back soon. *kisses Ryuzaki's cheek, proceeds to inform Hunter of our room situation*

Hunter: Yeah and I need a quick repair and upgrade to my armor and weapons.

*presents the smith with his Holy Moonlight blade, Piercing rifle, and Hunter's Pistol*

Blacksmith: Interesting, such intricate designs but why having a separate firearm... usually their gun is both a close ranged weapon as well and they use their semblances.

Hunter: My style of combat is different and my semblance is far beyond that of normal Huntsman. Plus I require all of my gear be imbued with the finest Dust.

Blacksmith: Alright but it cost you four thousand Lien.

*flicks three gold coins on the anvil*

Hunter: This should help.

Blacksmith: Fair enough, it will be done tomorrow.

Hunter: Thank you.

*walks back to the hotel*

This is a special trick weapon, if you like crushing beasts just push the sword into the giant sheath bur if you like slashing them use the blade.
