Mementos Grindfest: PSvP5 Edition

(Note: this is a thread for the Phansite vs Persona 5 rp, where people rp themselves (for the most part) rather than their accounts' characters. All are free to join in, though!)

A green-eyed black cat sits on the edge of the tracks. Its body is similar to a certain phantom thief's, although the only white it has is the U-shaped patch on its chest.

Spectrum

I walk in. "Right. So, what are we gonna do in Mementos? Any requests?"

Cait_Sith

The cat tilts his head. "We have no requests at the moment, but I will have Eagle look into that. We will simply be doing a little training to get everyone used to Mementos."

Spectrum

"Ok. I brought the pole I use for Taekwondo!" I show you a black rubbery pole.

(No joke, I was describing my Taekwondo Pole.)

Cait_Sith

"A good weapon... oh, and hopefully you can drive." The cat leaps into the air and comes down as a black bus with green headlights. Its doors open, and a fox, a snake, and a pangolin rush in.

Spectrum

"Do I look old enough to drive?"

Cait_Sith

"I will help you. I, Pluto, am not a normal bus, so I am easy to drive," the bus says, waving its tail.

Spectrum

"I'm 13, I'd rather let someone who can legally drive be the one who can..."

Cait_Sith

"Yer worried about a license in the Metaverse?" the snake grumbles, but is given a (soft) bat on the head by the pangolin.

"We should be able to drive, dear. Suni, take the wheel." The pangolin shuffles over to the pedals while the white fox, Suni, hops into the driver's seat.

Spectrum

"...Just because I'm in the metaverse, doesn't mean the law's reasoning isn't valid... I don't want to cause a car crash."

Spectrum

I walk into the back of the van.

Cait_Sith

"Thy reasoning is sound. Tarumi, the gas," Suni says. Once everyone is inside, the bus jerks forward. A Shadow jumps back in surprise as they zoom past. "...Tarumi, do not, as they say, 'floor it,'" Suni says with a surprising amount of calmness.

Spectrum

I am sitting in the back and am just waiting, and looking out the windows.

Spectrum

I start humming quietly.

Cait_Sith

"Tarumi, please slow down a little-" Suni is cut off as the bus hits something. A Shadow is knocked down, splitting into an Awakened God and a Wishless Star.

Player turn!

Spectrum

(Let's see. Can I actually post anything?)

Spectrum

(Oh, I can send ooc things)

Cait_Sith

ooc: Yes, feel free to do a regular attack

Spectrum

(But not the thing I actually want to send)

Spectrum

(No, I'm talking about actually fucking sending it)

Cait_Sith

ooc: Oh. Phansite acting up... Happens to me occasionally. It sucks.

Spectrum

(I can't actually send my response.)

Spectrum

(If the thing includes my response, it doesn't work...)

ooc: Maybe try typing it out again? It gets finicky when I try resending through copy-paste

(Nope. It didn't work)

(Oh, it's the action bit that doesn't work.)

I jump out, grabbing my pole, and then wha-cking one of the enemies.

Spectrum

(According to Ken, it's because the word wha.ck contains ha.ck

Ignore the full stops in this post, and the dash in the action)

(I was going to use that, but it just doesn't sound right to me tbh.)

"Persona!" Behind Suni, a ten-tailed golden fox appears. Its eyes look like mirrors. "Tenko, Masukunda!"

"Heh, might as well do this, too. Medusa!" The snake snaps her eyes open, and a snake-haired woman appears. "Mazionga!"

Tarumi hums. "Might as well assist. Aegis, Tetrakarn." A bronze shield with a snake-like head appears. Its snake tail wags as it creates a barrier to reflect physical attacks.

The enemies are slowed down by Masukunda.

Skyla's attack misses the Awakened God.

Mazionga only hits the Wishless Star (75%).

Enemy turn!

Cait_Sith

The Wishless Star's Psio misses Skyla.

The Awakened God attacks Skyla, but Tetrakarn reflects the attack! However, neither combatant ends up hurt.

Player turn!

Cait_Sith

Suni waves at Hibki, Tenko still floating behind him. "I see thou art here."

Spectrum

"Oh geez... They are both targetting me..." I attack the Wishless Star.

Cait_Sith

Suni lets Tenko vanish and attacks the Awakened God with his Katana.

The snake uses Mazionga again.

Tarumi waves his claw, and Aegis moves with it. "Makarakarn." A blue shield appears this time.

"Let's begin...Mementos."

It would be his first journey in.

How exhilarating.

Cait_Sith

Rago and Mimic appear. There seems to be a fight going on. "Heh. Let's help out, shall we?"

"Indeed."

Cait_Sith

Rago rushes over, although it'll take a turn to arrive.

Update!

Cait_Sith

Skyla hits the Wishless Star... which reflects her attack.

Suni hits the Awakened God (75%).

The Mazionga hits both enemies! (both at 50%)

Enemy turn!

Cait_Sith

ooc: *hits head on table* God reflects phys, not Star. Darn it. Let's just say that only Suni's attack was reflected. Star is at 25, and God is at 50

Cait_Sith

The Awakened God attacks Suni with Spirit Drain.

The Wishless Star misses Skyla with Psio.

Player turn!

Spectrum

"This seems easy." I hit the Wishless Star again.

Cait_Sith

Tarumi guards.

"Medusa, Mazionga again!" the snake shouts.

"Tenko." Suni lowers his katana. "Mabufula, please."

Cait_Sith

Seeing as nothing else is happening... update!

Cait_Sith

Skyla misses the Wishless Star. Bad rolls.

Mazionga kills the Star, but the Awakened God is still alive.

The Mabufula destroys the Awakened God.

Battle won!

ooc: Besides my sub-par GMing, this is how battles outside of raid battles will go

(So you use online dice too? Nice! What numbers and dice do you use for each thing?)

"Phew! We won!"

ooc: and now I shall leave to get lunch. Do whatever you wish. Try not to blow up the place. Except Shadows. You can blow up those.

I get back into the van.

ooc: To re-type everything: I use a d20 for hits and crits, and a d6 or rarely a d8 to randomize who enemies target and stuff

I hum whilst waiting for the van to drive again.

ic: The bus seems ready to go. Thankfully, the snake, Questa, is using the pedals this time.

"Ok."

Cait_Sith

Suni hops out of the bus. "...Eagle just contacted me. She said there's something important that Third Eye should check out. Is it thy wish to join me?"

Spectrum

"I might as well!"

Cait_Sith

"Very well. Follow me." Suni dashes off, his white fur standing out in the darkness of Mementos.

Spectrum

I run after. "W-WOAH! SLOW DOWN A BIT WOULD YOU?!"
