I also thought of an AU where Akira was actually the villian, and Akechi takes over as protag,
would be like a plottwist that maybe not much people would have seen coming, rather than the actual plot.

I mean it would be a surprise. XD

I would like to see that. Where the player thinks the protag is the good guy, but it's revealed to be the opposite at the end twist part.

Problem is, nobody wants to be the bad guy, so it'd be hard to immerse yourself in
