I'm actually curious for more info. Do you just mean the amount of random threads, or do you mean the lack of centralization in RP?

So the bad ending? Sweet. I love getting those. Like in Xillia 2 where I ended up murdering a child and letting a different child die for the sake of my brother.

To answer the question, I mainly mean the insanity happening with RP threads with [cough] a couple people.
I personally don't mind RPing but it is pretty crazy and hard to get used to.
I've RPed here before and I feel too scared to jump in half the time cuz of all that happens.

Yeah don't feel bad. Tonight even I can't keep track of what's all going on. We were at Destiny Land. Then suddenly everyone left to be pirates. And then there were like 5 threads about Marsh and Lewd. And then Nana and Lightning wrapped themselves in a protective barrier for... reasons. And then the Pirates went to Fire Emblem.

At this point I'm just chilling in leblanc because it's the last place that makes sense.

makes sense is a relative term. But yeah, it really went crazy tonight for some reason. Why can't people spread this stuff out so we don't get dead days?

Phansite rps are much different than most rps. Which is probably why I'm trying to deviate from that with some of my stuff.

Well there's an issue with having 0 moderation on things. People get an idea, roll with it, people expand on that idea, more people expand on it, and suddenly the plot that was supposed to be over by now is gonna last probably another month.

Honestly, I don't think there really is a main plot at this point. Was there ever? We just kinda... Hang out and do things.

See I don't think the main plot ever actually flowed naturally since it started kind of randomly and spiraled out of control and then we tried to control it and make it a thing more so

Like there was never truly a set idea from the beginning so

You people are way too focused on the idea of a main plot. Just kinda go with the flow and it works much better if you don't worry about it. That's what I've always done at least.

I think having one plot in general is a terrible idea given how RP is handled
it would be hard to manage but having like multiple plot threads follow their own plots not related to eachother would be the more sensible thing to do, especially given how divisive the idea of the universal reset is

Mmm... how soft we talking? Because the mythical "season 2" was meant to be a soft reset by way of ending the WAY out of control sin plot.

But then we kept throwing more things onto the sin plot after deciding it had to end.

We're bad at ending things.

But I can understand the concerns. I was only mentioned after the ramen god thing. And then nothing happened for a long time.

My only issue with having multiple plots, each equally main, reminds me of a lot of RP forums where each and every thread is its own self-contained world. With nothing carrying over between them.

Which, IMO, is the worst kind of Forum RP.

The kind of forum rps I'm used to are ones with that individual world thing you mentioned. However, those kinds of rps are not meant to cross over. Probably because most don't use the Phansite account=character thing.

Yeah... we've floated idea after idea to fix it but ultimately it may just be so broken that we need ot adapt to minimize the breakage.

I can agree with the not keeping track if the story thing.
Before it was only chill fun RPs And one sin battle and that's mostly it, now there like 10 RP threads and you don't even know what 's going on in some of them.
But well, that 's why only join the chill RPs now. Clubs bars and little tournaments.
