Bubble Teas...
So I found out that there is a place by my work that delivers bubble tea and other sweet tea-based treats. I know nothing about it, but it looks good.

So the question would be, do you drink bubble tea? What type do you like? And what would you suggest for a newbie?
Can't help you there bud. But I was recommended to try bubble tea from a friend of a friend. Hope it's as good as he says. Have fun trying something new.
Fair enough. I'll let you know if it's no good.
It's sooo good. I like the honey dew milk tea the most. With tapioca. I've also had banana and chocolate milk tea. It's worth trying. Just choose a favor you normally like.
That's actually a good way to think about it. Honey dew milk tea does sound pretty good, not gonna lie.
Bubble Tea is my shit, so I got some things to say. For starters, try a fruit flavored one that is known to not be too sweet because the ones like strawberry, lychee, and jackfruit can be sickeningly sweet when in the wrong hands. There is a slight chance that it could be powder-based instead of real fruit, so mango is typically a safe bet for me.

Now for actual tea-based ones instead of fruit based, watch out for the caffeine. Thai tea bubble drink is especially strong, so start off with a low caffeine one again. It's also not on the sweet side, so green tea is my recommendation for this.

Boba, otherwise known as bubble or tapioca pearls, are usually the kicker that can make or break the bubble tea experience. Good places usually have more boba that is nice and chewy while newbie places would have a few frozen or "bad ones" in there. They don't have a taste and the texture is quite chewy. Since you're kinda new, you can either dive head-first into trying it or opt out for a fruit jelly substitute since it adds to the sweetness and is less chewy than boba.
I like the tea itself but hate the bubbles...just something about food that's bit submerged in a liquid.
If the place offers durian, approach with caution. I personally love that shit with how sweet it is, but I have been told many times that it makes my breath smell like rotting/fermenting sewage.
I was gonna ask what Boba was. So I assume popping boba is filled with fruit?
Yeah, kinda. They burst easily and are filled with a more sugary version of fruit juice.

Another substitute for boba since it's less chewy. Some places do offer to not put in any boba or jelly at all, so don't be afraid to speak up if you don't want any! (It's still a good drink either way.)
I'd probably just do the standard fare, and think about what I didn't like for next time. I appreciate the advice!
++UPDATE++

They just closed while we were talking about this....

Oh well, there's always tomorrow.
I heard bubble tea, I have been summoned.

I personally like regular green milk tea and black milk tea, mostly because it's the basic ones so they're usually cheaper and it tastes pretty much the same across all the bubble tea shops where I live. Taro milk tea is pretty good too, and if you have a Kung Fu Tea near you, I definitely recommend trying their Winter Melon (Milk) Green tea.

It honestly depends on the place you're getting it from though, some stores don't mix the drinks well enough and the powder sticks to the bottom of the cup, while other stores just make the taste a bit off ;;

I wish you luck in finding your favorite flavor!!
I've had bubble tea. It's meh for me.
Well I did drink bubble tea in the beginning,
but since they talked a lot about, how bad that stuff is for
you, because of all of the chemistry inside of it, I stopped.

Almost every fresh tea shop we have, has dropped the bubble teas.
Chemistry? They making napalm inside the tapioca pearls? What's the danger? I doubt it'll stop me, but I'm morbidly curious now.
Well they found some elements that could cause cancer here.
Mostly only from the fruity bubbles, tapioca are fine I guess.
( Tapioca just don't taste that great)
But yeah this elements that cause cancer were the reason they boycotted bubble teas over here.
Ah. Well at the end of the day, most things can and will give you cancer. The trick is everything should be taken in moderation, including moderation. I'll keep it in mind, but I doubt I'd drink it enough to do any sort of damage. Thanks for the info though, much appreciated!
Bubble tea is the best! I strongly recommend honeydew and winter melon bubble teas. If they make regular tea with boba in it, then I think you should try some fruity black tea like a peach flavor. Also, not many places I've seen use popping boba so you're more likely to get the chewy kind instead.

I'm not sure where you live, but bakeries like 85 Degrees have really good bubble tea if you're looking for specific places to try.
True, I don't care for that as well, but bubble tea is not that important to me to drink, so yealh.
Mmm I love bubble tea! My personal favourite is Taro Slush and jelly,( slush is kinda like a slushie, its thicker)
Oh just be careful not too drink too much, the stuff is know for causing stomach pain if you drink too much!
It's a sweet drink, I can only assume it'll give ya gut rot if you drink too much.
Today for sure. I will order the bubble tea before it closes!

PLUS ULTRA!

They weren't open today....
Guess you might have been... too slow.

I'm sorry that's pretty bad even for me.
That hurt me on a every possible level. I hope you're happy.
Hurt by just that much? Come on, step it up! Get that tea next time.
...........

(You don't see it, or hear it, or anything....but right now...sitting in my office...I am so mad.)
Lol. Well I think that's enough torturing you with memes for now.
