First of all, it completely shits all over the whole "underdog theme". Hell, at the start of the series he already has a freaking living nuke inside him giving him a ridiculous power bonus. Then you hit Shippuden and find out he's the son of one of the strongest people in their world as well as the descendant to some famous clan known for absurd energy reserves. Oh and let's not forget how he suddenly became the lolchildofdestiny and the freaking reincarnation of a god. Hell's it basically just a game of who has the better genes between Nardo and Sauce. A guy like Rock Lee exemplifies the underdog theme better than anyone in the whole damn thing, yet instead of being front and center, he's largely treated as comic relief.

Remember Neji? Remember how his whole thing was how his destiny was to be a slave to the main Hyuga branch and die for his cousin? Remember how Nardo preached to him how destiny didn't exist? Well turns out Neji was right, and honestly, I consider this by far the biggest bullshit moment in this series. Not only does he end up dying for his cousin with a smile on his face, but shortly after is the reveal of Nardo being the reincarnation of a god. It honestly feels like Kishimoto's way of saying, "yeah all the underdog and overcoming destiny stuff from part 1 was a load of bull I made up to sell copies to sappy teens" and killing off Neji was his way of sweeping it under the rug. The fact that he says he did because pairings is another load of BS I'll get to latter.
