Persona 5: How Satan saved Christmas (Ending Discussion)
Seriously though, the ending was bit bittersweet for me, and predictable. I have played Persona before after all! I'd love to hear your guys' take on it, though!

Did I hear Satan and Christmas? XDD

Just kidding but I agree with you.
It was still an ending I could enyoy and well,
I actually thought it would end with shido,
so to have another thing and no christmas to celebrate was
good and bad.

I just wished rather than a cell that you still spend some time
through january and february.

I wanted my new years...
The feels were strong. One that really impacted me was Mishima attempting to hand out those flyers, but nobody stopped by, increasing the despair on his face and his desperation in his voice. It really made me feel for him once, and I personally hated Mishima. :(
It really was sad, but if you had all it was great to see how they helped you.
Your confidants are great... except Ohya maybe.XD
Ohya does most of the leg work to track down the girl who lied to the police didn't she?
Yeah, true. Ohya gets ragged on too much, IMO.
Her stuff never helped me, but god damn was her confidant good.
Well I didn't like her confidant story and her stuff was useless to me, so.XD

But true that she helps a lot with the publicity.

Still I rather spend time with Iwai, I liked his story a lot.
Also he keeps you save through out your prison time.
Nobody can forget Gun Daddy.
I will literally fight you Aki-Joker.
I forgot Gun Daddy cause I wasn't brave enough to do his stuff. Never really used guns...so...he was more useless than Ohya.
Speaking OOC here for a moment, Ohya's Confidant was enjoyable imo, I really wanted to help her with her situation, and her abilities aren't useless to me, sure if you do well enough they aren't needed but you can say that about most Confidant abilities, so....? Ohya's skills were a life saver for me in a few instances I fucked up, so they weren't useless to me.

In my opinion the most useless Confidants in terms of skills were Iwai, because by the time he's unlocked it's a bitch to make his skills useful at that point, and Shinya, for a similar reason. Sure it can potentially be broken but it's easier for me to just ignore the Down Shot and save ammo for when large groups are weak to guns.
But think of ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶c̶o̶o̶l̶ ̶g̶u̶n̶ ̶d̶e̶s̶i̶g̶n̶s̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶m̶i̶s̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶o̶n̶!̶ Kaoru!
I just mean in terms of skills, in terms of the actual Confidant stories, Iwai's was pretty enjoyable too.
Shinya's still sucked though
but in terms of their stories Chihaya's is like
the worst imo
Also never really used guns outside of weakness abuse to knock them down so
More on topic though, I liked the ending for the most part. Yaldy's existence I think had a better justification and more build up than Izanami, and arguably Nyx, but the game kinda fell apart for me after that, I was not a fan of the dumb juvie excuse they made up for the sake of a timeskip
True, true. Even then, there existed skills like Triple Down, so I guess guns really were kinda obsolete this game.
Ninja'd lol. Yeah, Yald did seem more paced up then Persona 4's "Hey, remember this gas station lady you met ~1 year ago? Of course not! She's God! Kill her now because plot!"
At least in Yaldy's case, whether you know it or not, he's alongside you the entire game, and you've basically been infiltrating his palace (technically everyones) through out the entire game, much better than fucking
gas station attendant

I'm glad they brought guns back for P5 for variety but imo yeah they were never all that useful
They were in P2, correct? Also, at least Yald was better that fucking HITLER HIMSELF FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE TO FUCK WITH YOU WITH THEM DYNES.
Nah, Guns are only in Persona 1 and 5.

Don't get me started on Hitler, I know it's sacrilege but Persona 2 is my least favorite game in the series, and the entire rumor and Hitler thing is a major part of why I dislike the plot.
I thought the rumor mechanic was cool. Let you interact and customise the game world, but hey, that's only my opinion.
I like it as a mechanic but imo the plot took it in a bad direction
Yeah, I suppose. But I digress. Joker was also there, but not looking quite as cool as we remember.
