Let's see... The box doesn't appear to have a bottom. Or rather, doesn't seem to have a top. The "This Side Up" sign is facing down, meaning that the box is upside down. If I see through the hand holes on the box, I can see there is clearly something inside. Let's take a took then.

No. I think it makes perfect sense. I've seen crazy stuff around here. There's people who can use magic and stuff. Not like Hagakure magic, but real stuff. Something out of a manga or anime. I think the "other worlds" thing makes a lot of sense.
