Field Trip to St. Pidgeonation's Institute
(Yes, this is canon. No, I am not drunk.)

A bus idles by the sidewalk. The door opens to reveal a Garuda in the driver's seat. He seems to be reading some kind of book. "And I had to get up early for a freakin' field trip... At least th' food there's free. And we get paid extra... dunno why..."

*Aitome wanders into the bus with a blank stare sitting down somewhere

The Garuda looks up from his book. "Freakin' finally. Doubt yer in school, but I don't care. Just here for th' paycheck. Ya heard of this place before?"

*Aitome snaps out of his blank stare and looks at the driver

Huh? Where am I? A bus?

*Hibki walks up* Hey, field trip huh? I'm game.

"No, it's a limo. OF COURSE IT'S A BUS!" Garuda sighs. "Whatever. Th' two of ya should be able to come. If nobody else shows up, I can always grab 'em later."

*He gets in the seat behind the driver and starts making small talk* How did a Garuda get into driving buses?

Oh.. Okay I guess.. this guy is edgier than Red Coat..

*Aitome scratches his head and looks out the window day dreaming, waiting to get to the destination

The Garuda begins to drive, not even bothering to close the door. "Th' economy sucks, kid. Especially when yer dumped into the Nexus randomly. At least I don't have to deal with lil kiddos like some drivers."

Huh, only job I could get around here is shadow and demon hunting. I did that for a while then I opened my store.

"Huh. Good luck with that, I guess."

The bus eventually comes to a stop in front of a fancy-looking school. A few birds fly up to the door, ready to start the school day... wait, what?

Ugh, might as well walk in. *Hibki enters the school.*

*Aitome steps out of the bus and takes a deep breath

I guess this would be my first day at school, I've never been to one before, hopefully I don't look too out of place...

*Aitome then follows the path towards the school, oblivious to everything

*Sam sees the others approaching.*
What are you two doing here?

Inside the school, numerous birds wander the halls, chatting as they get their books and bags organized. A nicobar pidgeon approaches the two humans.

"Oh, you must be the visitors I was told about! I'm supposed to show you around," he says, ruffling his feathers a bit nervously. "My name is Aoi. It's... nice to meet you... er, sorry. It's just that I haven't seen a human in person before."

He looks over at Sam. "And another one... that's quite a few humans!"

*Aitome gets startled at the talking bird before extending his hand

Hello there Aitome, we have the same name, what a coincidence. I never expected a school of... birds... but I guess it is the nexus.

I have been here for at least 10 minutes.

"Oh, I guess I wasn't very observant, then." Aoi nods at Sam before shaking the group's hands with his wing. "Anyway, I should start by showing you the rooms. Follow me!" He flaps his wings to adjust his bookbag and begins walking. "This is an all-male school, although there was one female human student a few years ago. I can't recall her name, though...@

*Aitome scratches his head and holds his tounge before hearing "female human student".

There was another human before us? What happened to them?

*Sam hums cheerfully*

"I... don't know. The details were kind of kept under wraps, but I do know that the Hawk Party was involved. Anyway, all of our classrooms are similar to human ones. As for the cafeteria... "Aoi waves his wing at a room farther down the hall. "It's a nice, open place that serves great food! ...At least, relative to my previous school. My old school's seeds weren't that good."

Seeds? Is that all they have here? I guess I'm getting side tracked though, what is our classroom?

ic: "I assure you, we've branched out into bread and fruits after the arrival of that human student. And as for your classroom, they'll be assigned once paperwork is filled out."

After showing everyone the music room, Aoi leads the group outside.

"And this is the track! Even birds must learn to run and play sports, afterall. Everybirdy needs some physical activity!"

I can't wait to play some more piano. I'm not much of an athlete though.

"See? He gets it." A homing pidgeon pants as he steps off the track.

"I figured you'd say that, Kenji. You ARE part of the music club, after all," Aoi says with a laugh.

"Yeah. But weird things have been happening there. There's been leaks in multiple places, but the pipes are fine, according to our resident architecture nerd." Kenji points at a fantail pidgeon who is still running.

I don't know anything about leaks but it's nice to meet you too. *He holds out his hand* Anyways is this a school where we have an option to stay on campus?

Kenji shakes Hibki's hand with his wing. "Nice to meet you, too. We can't stay on campus, but it's not too much of a fly to get here. I can give you an in-depth tour of the music room, if you want, by the way."

Tomorrow, I'd like to see the rest of the school for now. All in all not the weirdest thing I've seen though.

"Alright, then. Now I gotta keep running, or the teacher will yell at me." Kenji dashes off.

"Let's continue." Aoi heads inside. "This here is the infirmary on your left. The bird who used to work here was fired, so we have someone new here."

Fired? For what reason? It wasn't murder was it?

*Aitome seems to be shaking a bit, breaking out into a cold sweat

Don't take offense to this but you are very advanced for birds. I didn't know this kind of thing existed.

"I wouldn't be surprised. That doctor was creepy..." Aoi shudders. "And there's a reason for us being so advanced. Which brings us to... the library!" The nicobar pidgeon points at a large set of doors. "There's all kinds of books in there!"

IC: Well I've found the two rooms I'm spending all my free time in. The music room and the library. The books aren't super small for birds are they?

"No, they should be a reasonable size," Aoi explains. "And now our final destination is... let's see... the school store! It's not too far from here, so I guess I can just explain it now. It sells everything from pencils to nesting products."

I'll need pencils, I lose mine every five minutes somehow. I'm guessing regular class starts tomorrow?

"It should sometime in the next few days. We've just got summer school at the moment. Anyway, there should be a great stock of pencils!" Aoi says.

"I doubt it will with the water and snakes..." Muttering comes from behind the book that a Dragoon pidgeon is holding. "They're restless."

Aoi flutters his wings. "D-don't mind Noburu! He's kind of the so-called 'occultist' of the school. He says weird stuff all the time!"

I wish I could say an occultist bird was the wierdest thing that I've seen, it's not though.

"Shut up. I am not a mere occultist." Noburu doesn't look up from his book. "I simply see more than meets the eye. Like the odd aura Bunny Hoodie has. And this so-called 'Labyrinth Hydro' that the serpent speaks of."

"Oookay, that's enough. You should get new uniforms and bags, yes." Aoi nervously guides the group towards the door.

*Hibki follows Aoi* He's right about the aura though, Persona users do have a special quality to them.

"Aoi, you'll be involved as well! Such is the way of the Fool!" Noburu shouts as they leave.

"Don't know what that was about. Or what Personas are. Anyway, that should be the end of the tour! I'll see you all tomorrow!" Aoi bows.

Meanwhile, drops of water strike a piano.

ooc: Aaaand bedtime! The conclusion shall be reached tomorrow!
