Serious question
Okay. I want a figurine. Can't say of who for reasons, but I found one on Amazon for $18, crazy cheap. However, he controls the Amazon Prime account, so if I want it, I have to go through him. I've already told him I'm short on money, but I have enough for the figurine. Here's where the problem lies. If I buy it, he thinks I'm spending the last of my money on a plastic toy of a cute girl that's just gonna sit on my desk. I'm not a failure in the eyes of my parents yet, and I wanna keep it that way. I have no idea what to do.
Oops. I didn't specify "he" was my father.
I already have a Ruby Rose figurine and 2 Overwatch Funko Pops, so me buying figurines isn't super out of nowhere, but still.
Well, you can always wait some weeks, until your financial levels get better, and convince him. Staying low and waiting. Is what I would do
And I mean, is $18. Is not that expensive, maybe he doesn't mind...
But I keep my last tip
But I want it now. And I'm scared it might be off sale by then and I'll have to buy a more expensive one.
How many times did you asked him for money?
I ask because if you haven't really asked for help much, maybe they don't mind.
As long as it isn't the true last of your money it won't be that bad, I think, I don't buy anime merchandise.
@Hillock
I'm not asking for money, but it's his Amazon account. He'll pay it, and I'll give him the money to compensate.

@HibkiKuze
No, it's not the last of my money, but he thinks I'm low on money right now when I'm not THAT low.
Well. You can always ask. You said they still trust you, and that you buying figurines is not weird. But choose the moment. And try to show them that they can still trust you.
You can also explain how you are not that low, but maybe you shouldn't
