Anything with fire resist is a free win; for chie, you can fuse red wall onto something, or just have her spam guard every turn. Slime learns red wall and is very easy to get but it's weak otherwise so fuse it onto something else. Anything with dia that isn't weak to fire helps too. Best thing of all is to tarunda her ass

The problem with having Chie spam guard, however, is the freaking Charming Prince. I don't have any other Ice users, or Personas. The fight also generally devolves into me and Yosuke spam healing Chie every turn while she Dizzys the Prince/Skewers the Dizzy Prince. At least until S. Yukiko breaks out the Double Fangs and beats my ass. I should also mention I'm following a Max S. Link guide, so I can't just go to the T.V. World every day to grind.

You have like at least two weeks of wiggle room if you're going for that so I wouldn't about spending an extra day at all even if it's just to farm shuffle time to make something with mabufu or media or go buy items

Hello! I am unsure if you need help anymore but I am willing to share with you the Shadow Yukiko strategy I scribbled in the back of my science notebook (because screw my science teacher).

Use the Persona Orboras (resists Yukiko's moves). Hit Shadow Yukiko with Bufu (Chie) 3 times. Then she'll put up White Wall, so wait another 3 turns. She'll summon the Prince when about half of her health is done, but he'll leave when only a quarter of her health is left, so don't bother attacking the Prince. He can silence Chie, but Chie is pretty strong and it only lasts a bit so it's fine. Heal your main character and Chie as soon as possible (like, if they're at 75% health HEAL THEM). Only really care about keeping your main character and Chie alive. Use any SP refilling items ONLY on Chie, don't use her status buffs/debuffs (at this early in the game it didn't help much). GUARD WITH YOUR LIFE WHEN YUKIKO GIVES "a passionate stare." If you're low on medicine, only revive Chie (Yosuke only matters becausd he has Dia). Shadow Yukiko will begin to use Shivering Rondo when she only has a quarter of her health left, and she will only use it on people who are inflicted with the Fear status. So if anyone is fearful, GUARD WITH YOUR LIFE. Use all out attacks as much as possible.

And that's how I beat Shadow Yukiko. Now, my strategy is kinda strange since I had to do this with little medicine and little time left, but I hope it helps!

Ah. Thanks, and yes, I am still struggling, but the problem with your strat is that for me, S. Yukiko summons the Prince TURN 1! So that gives me a lot to deal with, and I am only Lvl. 10. Also, Shivering Rondo is used nigh instantly, so there is no health "checkpoint." The only 1 I can think of is when you kill the Prince, and she uses Burn to Ashes. Thanks for your input!

Also, as far as I'm aware, S. Yukiko is NOT weak to Ice. Or at least, not when I hit her. I hit her Turn 1 on my first attempt, before even she had a turn, and no knock-down.

UPDATE: Still struggling. Using the strategies mentioned above, I'm getting around half-health, and then S. Yukiko starts spamming Burn to Ashes. That kills everyone. Hurray.

Another update: Nope. Still keeps kicking my ass with her bird feet. Maybe I should reset to the 27th and grind until the 29th? But in that case, Ayane does not get an S. Link rank up. Maybe I should go for Max S. Links in NG+?

What difficulty are you on?

Gox about equipment? Are you good on weapons and protection?

Are you playing Ps2 version or the Vita version. I know they made Shadow Yukiko weak to ice and a bit weaker in general on the Vita version because NicoB. I personally went in at level 12.

@Shiza_Salad Normal. I have played and beat 3 on Normal, and people say P4 is easier (LIES) so why not?

@Liam Using the best I can. I have imitation katana, yosuke and chie are on default weapons, and we all use chainmail.

@Sam PS2. Vitas are expensive :(

I've beaten the game all of my five times on normal. How're you stuck on Shadow Yukiko? Are you just Ill-prepared?

Yup. Chests give me nothing but Peach Seeds, I'm under leveled as all fuck, and S. Yukiko's AI is waaaayy too smart. Also, I generally just suck at Persona.

I suggest grinding until you feel you're ready for the dungeon. Kill every enemy until the final floor from the first one, leave the dungeon, then continue the cycle. As for equipment, you should have the best you can possibly have and I've found that I never really needed items.

FINAL UPDATE: Birdemic is defeated! Turns out the secret was to grind to level 14 and have Chie spam Mabufu. Thank you all for your invaluable support and patience in helping me. Once again, a heartfelt "THANK YOU!!" from me! <3
