Well, I heard that the core of the nexus is unstable. Maybe if we can find a way to neutralize it, we can save the nexus.

So basically, help out the core, stabilize the place? Sounds like it could work... the question is how we do it, nya...

Well, I guess the only thing we can do is ask around... or talk to those guys trying to destroy the place. They're our best bet at the moment, nya.

*The Cait Sith exits the alleyway, as he had done yesterday.* Still no news from Kabby... Although that rumor about someone getting hurt...

*Aitome notices the Cait and walks up, greeting him with a wave of his hand

Hey, you were opposing Muscly Guy right? Back at that meeting, whats up?

Yeah. I've been looking for a way to stop him by fixing this "Nexus core" I've heard about but... *He shakes his head* Just not enough info to go off of.

*Wanders on from the nonsense in the forest and sees Ai, ducking behind a tree and listening for a moment...*

*Aitome then pulls out a journal, detailing rift weapons, Nexite, and all the past resets

Have a quick read of that, it'll help you out, for now, I think we can work together, so let me explain anything that can come to mind, albeit it's only somewhat reliable but its the best we got for now.

I don't think you'll need that journal, it'll just make it seem like your only option is Reset or Destruction.

*Cait takes the journal, and begins flipping through* So Nexite is the Nexus's way of coping with large amounts of power... A reset thing... So they weren't making this up. *He closes the journal and hands it back* I just skimmed it, but this Nexite is worth looking into. It might help us find the core or fix it, if we can find out how. You know where we could find this stuff?

*Aitome notices the girl and turns to her, sighing before continuing

Your Kiwi Aururu right? Or something like that? Still, it details Nexite and its properties, information is key, even if it makes it seem like we have no choice, I doubt we will be swayed.

*Aitome rubs his head as he responds to Cat,

Apparently, it is supposed to be created at sites with mass destruction, such as the blown up Leblanc, or a big battle, unfortunately, I haven't been around for long so I have don't have a single clue yet, but I do know we can't let them gather anymore of it.

Stabilizing would be preferable, I'm fairly certain Black Mask wants to figure out a way to fix the core, I don't know how but even finding the core would be a good step forward.

This Nexite stuff is basically crystal destruction. From the looks of things, it has no positive applications at all.

And they've likely been harvesting this stuff for a while if they can waste it on weapons and rifts.

No, I have a better idea. If they want to destroy the Nexus, we'll just let them.

And then we'll replace the Nexus' core with something more stable, something with a heart, and something that can correct itself should things start going wrong. Right under their boss' big stupid nose, in fact.

Wait... so we're literally creating a new core? Ya really thing that'll work? *He thinks for a moment* Well, it's a better idea than trying to fix it, in a sense. It'll work in the long run, and we won't have to worry about those guys trying to destroy it while we do our thing. And trust me, it would be hard to win a full-on battle with Yu on their side...

Well that's the thing. We're gonna advertise it as a fight....

And I'll be waiting like it's a fight....

Either way, I doubt a new core will satisfy them. They seem the exact breed of crazy to try killing that one, too.

Though we have another problem, too. That evacuation. If everyone leaves, then it doesn't matter if we save the Nexus or not. So we need to try and disrupt the evacuation... without making it look like we're trying to kill everyone.

Disruption, eh? I can take care of that. All I need to do is call up some buddies and create havoc. Causing chaos is what demons do best, nya! ...although I'll make sure nobody gets killed in the process.

Well now, a new core? I like how you think... What will it be made of? Hell, we don't even know where it is, our first step should be to find the core, and I think I have an idea how to do that...

*Aitome then pulls out a Nexite crystal and places it on a table, then he begins to form a completely identical crystal, made of ice and nuclear energy, however side by side they seem almost identical

We can propose a trade, they take us to the core, as if they want to blow it up they must know where it is, and we offer them some "Nexite" in exchange.

*Aitome then shrugs at the prospect of stopping the evacuation

Is that really smart? I'm in this to save the Nexus primarily, wouldn't the best option be to trap them in this other dimension?

*Gamma walks out from behind a tree, and up to the group*

I take it you're talking about that issue with Yu and the others. I hope none of you mind my intrusion.

What will it be made of....?

It'll be made of a person.

Something that can course-correct, protect itself, all of that good stuff. No more weird automated defenses like Nexite, no more uncontrolled expansion.

*Aitome notices pinky and looks turns to him

Hm? Why do you want to listen in? I thought you just wanted mind your own business.

A.. person? What are you scheming... at any rate, I suppose I'll leave that to you, will attempt to find a path to the Core, I hope the decoy will suffice.

*Gamma sighs and shakes his head*

I still live here Ai. Anything that involves the Nexus involves me, whether I want it to or not.

And Cait has a point, I'm not up for sacrificing anybody, that's what im fighting against if they are willing I suppose it won't hurt though.

I mean.... the person in question is already as good as dead anyway...

They'd probably have a better life as the core, whatever that might entail, than as they are now.

You should explain who it is, why it's better, and if they are willing, keeping secrets from us is no better than what they are doing you know.

You do you, we've already settled things between us you know, stay outta our way we stay outta yours. Still curious about you though, but that's a personal matter, not something we need to concern other people about.

I'm afraid I can't really tell you who, because if that information got back to their group we'd likely be stopped at the door.

But you can rest assured that it's better. The person in question is kind of... dead, at the moment.

For now, I believe I'll try to find a route to the core if they start anything be there to confront them, don't let them gather any more Nexite if you can gather some for us as its better to have an option than to not.

Well, whenever they start the evacuations, I'll have a little surprise for them.

And, well, I guess just kinda disrupt the evacuation in a way that doesn't make us look like terrorists. While me and my friends take care of the actual replacing the core thing.
