(The flyer that Kalib picks up is freshly printed and it is announcing some sort of midsummer festival.)

*looks confused as Klib hugs him*
I'm sorry, were you people having the same strange dream as I did? Because I could have sworn I'd...

*finally notices the area they're in*
This is definitely not somewhere I'd fall asleep. That... Oh, dear. That actually happened. This is actually happening.

Don't worry Jack, we uh...kinda had to do the same thing...crazy what you do for love right?

*Laughs in embarrassment as he reads the flyer.*

A Midsummer festival huh? You guys find anything?

Ene

(As if sensing Kaz's look the screen suddenly turns on showing both Ene's. They look the same as usual save for the new addition of yellow serpentine eyes. Dancing together on the screen they appear to be in a state of pure happiness.)

(The two of them then speak at the same time.)

Ene: Welcome to the Heat Haze!

(They both throw some confetti and a cute cartoon snake appears on the screen.)

Ene: You date is August 14th and the time is 12:30! We hope you enjoy your stay here!

(The screen remains on with the two of them cuddling the snake. While being pet the snake gazes at the group with bright red eyes.)

Uh, actually Kalib, we got squished. Shinji and I.
I was planning on it though...

Emerson

*He picks himself up.*
Anyways, S-Saul! Scan!
*Saul appears around him, and they scan the area for energy signatures once more.*

Heat haze? August 14th...

August 14th. There is absolutely no holiday consistently celebrated that day. Must be some sort of local thing. Well, as long as we're here, we may as well check the festival out, no?

*He crosses his arms, smiling at the screen*

The snake, the two Enes...a festival...that date and time is important, I should write it down...

*He pulls out a piece of paper and writes down the information.*

Do we know where this "festival" is being held at? Perhaps we're close to it.

*Kalib looks for the location of the festival after prying his eyes away from the screen.*

(As Kalib once again scans the flyer he notices that it is apparently being held in the park.)

(The energy that was once gathered at the front of the screen now heads past the group towards a gathering of trees.)

Welp, there's our target.
*He points to the trees.*
What's say we check it out?

*He smiles and nods at Emerson.*

Yes, good work guys, let's go.

*He moves towards the trees in front of him.*

Pay attention to as much detail as you can, you never know what we might be able to use later on.

*Floats behind the group in Saul, continuing to scan the area's layout and energy.*

(The group walks onward into the park and the sound of cicadas only seems to grow more prominent. Once the trees begin to block out the sun overhead a wide variety of multicolored strings can be seen on the ground. They all appear to be leading in the same direction and yet there are a few that are noticeably cut or burned. The gathered energy continues to move forward heading toward the source of the strings.)

Emerson

I recommend we leave the strings alone. No idea what they are.
Let's walk around them.
*Begins to head towards their source.*

Guys....I have a String Theory.

*Kalib then shuts up and keeps walking towards the source of the strings.*

*upon hearing Kazuya, he pauses to give the others time to catch up*
What is it you need, young hero? I'm simply getting to the bottom of this tragedy, as I believe you all are too. Now then, there's villainy afoot.

*runs towards the source of the string*

Oh my fucking god, Jackman.
Does anyone have a leash? I need that right now.
Alternatively, I could freeze his foot to the ground. That sounds fun, and it's nice target practice.

Jackman, right now it's best if we stay together, the villains could be really powerful and...he could attack us while you leave us alone! We need you to protect us, so please stay close to us!

*He bows at Jackman for a moment with a smile. He then notices the strings.*

Strings...?
Could they represent those children...? It's probably not important, I might be overthinking it.

*He tries to study them as he walks towards the source of the strings*

Still...could they have some kind of relevance...?

*He says in a low voice*

*he frowns at Em's comment, but returns to the group after hearing Kaz*

You have a point, young friend. I couldn't bear to leave you people to fend for yourself if they attacked while I wasn't looking. Especially if they needed me out of the picture. Worry not, I'll be right here if you need me.
*walks just ahead of Kaz, wary for any potential danger*

(After minutes of navigating through a park the group finally arrives at a statue of a black snake. Around the snake lies the rest of the strings lying limply on the ground.)

(Tied around the snakes twin fangs are much stronger threads that are spread all around it's body. The threads are in the colors of purple, yellow, green, light blue, white, black, yellow, dark blue, and red. The gathered energy that the group has been following rises from the ground and coats the threads with a red light. As the threads begin to glow the snakes eyes also glow red as if reflecting the change.)

Ene: Congrats guests you have arrived at the trial of fate!

(Both Ene's suddenly appear top of the snake statue. Their mirth filled yellow eyes seem to piercing into the group.)

Ene: You must choose two threads from here that will decide your future!

(They both begin to laugh.)

Ene: Careful though these threads won't like being touched.

George_Jackman

Choosing our fate you say? Well, I believe I can help us with that choice. Or at least I can try.

*touches the snake statue, once again using his psychometry to look into its past*

*Kalib is unnerved by the eyes only for a moment.*

Well, let's figure this out guys.

*Kalib turns to the group to discuss.*

Akamoto_Shinji

That it? You're just gonna tell us, Pick a string!, No context?

Emerson

Saul, let's examine these for blood and other marks. Maybe it's a clue.
*Saul scans each thread for blemishes, whether it be blood, scars, or burn marks.*

Kazuya

*He closes his eyes and sits on the ground, thinking.*

Alright...

Ene

(By touching the statue Jackman is mentally transported into a pit of black snakes with red eyes. All the snakes are constantly biting at each other as if vying for dominance. A mix of voices can be heard among the pit but a calm, feminine voice appears to dominate among the rest of them. The voice manages to calm the others but Jackman is unable to hear what she says next as he is electrocuted.)

(Takane glares at him with furious yellow eyes.)

Takane: You bastard your not supposed to touch the statue! Try that again and you will get worse then a shock!

(Takane then looks at Shinji with her counterpart instantly putting on a smile.)

Ene: Yep that is about all your getting! So you will have to deal with it!

Ene

(Upon scanning all the threads Em is instantly able to see dried blood covering each and every one of them.)

*Kalib stares at the pair and smiles, before moving to sit with Kaz. He waits for an update from Em.*

Akamoto_Shinji

Yep... Nice trial, Real nice. You're sooo clever.

*Looks around the surrounding area for clues*

George_Jackman

*he flinches away from the statue, and turns to the group, feigning confidence*

Well, that was... Strange, even for me. I don't think the statue is going to be very helpful, though apparently there is more than one snake. And some sort of... Woman over them? I couldn't hear what was happening over the electrocution, but if the villain doesn't want me to touch the statue, well, that's almost reason enough to try again.

Emerson

They're all about the same. Not much to differentiate.
Hmm, well, if these aren't helpful, I'll check the other ones.
*Em walks back to the earlier strings, and scans them instead.*

Ene

(Both Ene's simply smile at Shinji.)

Ene: Well I did want to give you something special since your the one that made all this possible but ...

(They both point down at the statue.)

Ene: He said that you already did your part.

Akamoto_Shinji

And what, pray tell, was my part? Enlighten me.

Ene

(Upon scanning the strings Em is able to pick up burn marks on the sorter ones and cuts all over the longer ones. Each of the strings also lack the same energy and blood stains that the threads appear to carry.)

Kazuya

Well, depending on what we choose, the eyes will change its color, as of now, we've met different kids whose eye color was a completetely different color, those threads represent that.

*He stands up and smiles*

We have two Enes right now, but she can only be one, so the other thread must be someone else, it makes sense that the right answer is "Dark Blue" and "Red", because "Red" represents Shintaro. They are the ones we know after all, any other "kid" wouldn't make any sense.

But still...do you guys agree with my answer? If you do, then we go with it.

Ene

(They tilt their heads in confusion at Shinji's question.)

Ene: Well you brought him here of course Shinji.

(They motion to the strings.)

Ene: You made all this possible by first giving me that marvelous infection of yours.

George_Jackman

*clears throat*
Before we cause anything to happen I would like to bring up what I read from the statue. Apparently there are several snakes, they don't always agree, and there's some woman over them all. She is likely the main villain. I was interrupted before I could learn more.
Since I was interrupted, and they wanted to be rid of me earlier, that means they are scared of what I might learn. That makes it worth trying again, no?

Emerson

*Em examines which colors of string are long, and which colors are short.*

Akamoto_Shinji

Thought that was what you meant, just clarifying.

By the way, Are you the REAL Ene? or are you just something else?

(Upon examination Em is able to find a short light red string, a long grey string, and a particularly cut up short pink string.)

(Both Ene's hug each other and grin widely at Shinji.)

(They point at themselves.)

Ene: Yep I am the real deal!

(Their yellow eyes appear to glow brighter.)

Ene: After you split me up you made it easier for master to claim me!

George_Jackman

*whispering to himself*
While they're distracted with the villain, its the perfect time to make a move.
*quietly returns to the statue and attempts to read it again*

Akamoto_Shinji

Huh, So answer me this, Does Ene hate me?

Emerson

Alright, Kaz. I heard the suggestion. Go for it.
Nothin' better to do.

Ene

(Upon touching the strings Jackman is shown a scene in which a black haired woman is strangling a snake. The snake's red eyes gaze at the woman with hatred while the woman sporting her own red eyes attempts to choke the life out of it. The fight finally ends once the snake's eyes glow for a second leaving the woman gasping for breath. The woman's face has grown noticeably pale and she appears much weaker.)

Kazuya

*He shrugs and takes the "Dark Blue" and "Red" threads.*

It's my funeral.

Ene

(Both Ene's think for a second.)

Ene: Hmmm tough question.

(They suddenly break out with laughter.)

Ene: We can't hate you since you gave us this awesome power in the first place!

(They hug each other as they continues laughing.)

Ene: We love you right now Shinji!

*Em rejoins the group, and readies his Shortsword once more.*
Heh, not like we could do much better...

George_Jackman

*he backs away from the statue and heads back to Kaz*
I hope you know what you're doing, because at this point I'm not even sure what's happening anymore.

Ene

(Upon taking both threads in his hand Kaz is suddenly showered with foreign memories. All of Ene's memories and Shintaro's flood into Kaz as the strings glow brighter and brighter. Kaz is now able to feel the sensation of dying through poison, stabbing, and gun shot.)

(As Kaz deals with the memory flow the setting changes into that of a school rooftop. On top of the fence hangs a scarf flying in the wind and leaning against the fence is a boy wearing a red hoodie.)

(Both Ene's boo at this.)

Ene: Aww you didn't find our Master's location.

(They both stick out their toungue's.)

Ene: What a shame!

Ene

(They both pout at Shinji's response.)

Ene: We are both the real Ene you know! We can't you just accept that we love you for what you did!

Emerson

Well, this is... odd.
Did we win, or did we lose? We didn't get attacked, so thats a plus.

Kazuya

*Kazuya's face turns white as he lets go the threads. He falls to his kneed gasping for air desperately as he deals with the sudden experience.*

W...Wha...

*He does his best to stand up, but his body is still shaking.*

W-Where are...we...?

*He supports him with his arm.*

*gestures to the boy in the hoodie*

*Kazuya lets out a big sigh as he walks slowly towards the boy in the red hoodie. He has calmed down.*

Excuse me...but could you please help us out for a bit?

*Em summons Saul, and scans the area.*

Ene

(The boy puts on a passive expression as Jackman approaches him. His red eyes appear to be staring into Jackman as if searching for something.)

Boy: You don't belong here.

(He sighs.)

Boy: You need to leave before the snake claims you.

(He then glances at Kalib with boredom.)

Shinatro: My name is Shinatro and that is all you will need to know for now. Sad to say there is really nothing I can do for you at this point.

Ene

(Through scanning the area En is only able to pick up red energy coming from Shinatro and the two Ene's.)

*Kalib smiles.*

*he looks at the boy seriously*
Unfortunately, there are a few problems with that. First, I think I killed myself to get here. I don't think I can leave, even if I wanted to. Secondly, I'm not leaving without saving Ene, that is what I came here for, and a hero never leaves a job unfinished

Can you at least give us some direction? We kind of want to find that snake guy.

Emerson

Huh. Well, ain't that weird...
*Em looks off into the distance to see the surrounding area.*

Ene

(Shintaro looks down at his feet.)

Shinatro: Here is the Heat Haze didn't you know that.

(His hands nervously twitch.)

Shintaro: You people just need to leave before it's too late. At the current state your in you will be unable to stand against the snake.

(Upon hearing his words both Ene's laugh.)

Ene: He's right you know! Through your choice of threads you have put yourselves at a disadvantage!

Ene

(As Em look off to the surrounding area she is able to see a strange shifting of red in the sky. The red shift is slowly heading towards the groups location and a black dust cloud can be seen in the air.)

Emerson

Uh, guys? We... should do something.
Like, now!

George_Jackman

*he clears his throat, and speaks with a smile*

Leaving is not an option. We're here to save the day, and that is exactly what we shall do. We may be at a disadvantage, but that is no reason to despair. Indeed, as a hero I expect such challenges. Nevertheless, the forces of justice will always triumph in the end. Besides, we know that the snake has been beaten before, therefore it can be beaten again. All we have to do is keep fighting and sooner or later things are bound to go our way.

Please, anything you can tell us about the snake. About how to beat it, what it does. Anything! I need to save Ene, even if the odds are against me, I will fight to the bitter end. So please!

Ene

(Shintaro gazes intently at Kalib with his red eyes.)

Shintaro: The snake has the ability to cancel out one's powers.

*He sighs and looks up*

Shintaro: That is all that I can tell you since he is coming.

(Both the Ene's suddenly begin to laugh with joy*

Ene: Today is your luck day people! The master is coming!

(The sun slowly begins to turn red as the dust cloud draws near.)

Kazuya

Oh damn it...!

*He sighs with annoyance as he looks at his COMP for a moment.*

We can still do this, guys, no matter what happens, we will win!!

Emerson

*Em brandishes Crescent Rose.*
You've got my scythe!

George_Jackman

*laughs boisterously*

I can't really rely on my powers in a fight anyways, I'm still as ready as ever.

*unsheathes his katana and enters a fighting stance*

*Kalib runs over to the others and brandishes his trident. The fire in his eyes begins sparking to life. He smiles with renewed confidence and vigor.*

Alright guys. Drinks are on whoever gets knocked out first!

*Pulls out keyblade and gun*
I dunno what's going on, but I guess we're fighting.

Ene

(The sun fully turns red and the dust cloud finally nears the group.)

(However instead of taking a form the cloud simply surrounds the group.)

(A raspy voice can be heard from within the cloud.)

Voice: Don't any of you have a wish that you want granted? I have come to aid you after your passing from the mortal coil.

(As the voice speaks the group is instantly affected by a strong feeling of regret that is enough to bring some to their knees.)

Akamoto_Shinji

*warps on top of the rooftop door and pulls out Rifle*

Ene

(As the snakes speaks Shintaro fully dissapears with a sad look on his face.)

(Both the Ene's watch the group with interest.)

*He tries his best to stay on his foot, still, his body shakes slightly*

*Jackman looks away from the cloud with tears in his eyes, still on his feet*

*Em stands strong.*
I've been waiting all day to shoot you again! No way in hell I'm backing down now! This is nothing compared to how I felt the day I fell to the infection!

Voice: I can offer you an easy way out of all your trials.

(Waves of regret continue to roll off the voice.)

Voice: Just tell me your wish and you will never have to struggle again.

(The dust cloud becomes heavier around the group to the point where each of the group members can't see each other.)

(Both Ene's yell at the group.)

Ene: Just take the wish and you can be as free as me!

Emerson

*Em runs to the right side of the rooftop and readies CR with Fire Dust ammo. He gets into a position where he can snipe easily.* Shinji! Take the left! Also, I think Fire's a good idea, since he didn't like that smoke the other day! Kalib, that means you! And Shinji, we should focus the eyes, it'll make fighting it a breeze once it shows it's face!

*he looks back to where the cloud came from*
I've already told you, its no use. Nothing can fight against fate, they tried it before and failed. My friend was never wrong in his predictions. How am I supposed to believe you could help?

*The Spartan appears and stands next to Kalib waiting to find the location of the snake.*

(The snake's transparent body instantly forms from the dust and gazes hungrily at Shinji.)

Snake: Your wish is my command my new friend.

(It gazes at the two Ene's)

(Both Ene's instantly collapse on the ground.)

(It looks back at Shinji.)

Snake: Time for my prize!

(The snake turns back into dust and enters Shinji's body. It then attempts to take over Shinji through his wish.)

Snake: I will cease to exist if I am inside you!

George_Jackman

*initially confused, he then looks at Shinji with a smirk*
Well, that was unfortunate. But on the plus side we can get rid of two villains at once now. Come now, no need to hesitate any longer.
*runs at Shinji and attempts to cut them in two with his katana*

Emerson

*Shoots Jackman in the face with a Fire Dust bullet.*
Saul! Kougaon! Purify that motherfucker!
*Light focuses in on Shinji as the Snake is inside him.*

*A black shadow appears near him*

*He takes shinji's magical book withoit a name I remeber*

(He forces Shinji to point at Ene.)

*he flinches from the shot and turns to Em, a little sad*

*he runs at Em, holding his katana*

*He runs to where the Enes are and stand in front of Shinji gun, covering his body with Kusanagi*

*He then looks at Jackman*

JACKMAN, NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME, WE'RE ALL FRIENDS HERE, THE EVIL SNAKE INSIDE OF SHINJI IS MAKING THEM DO THIS EVIL THINGS, IT'S ALL ITS FAULT, SO HELP US FIND A WAY TO GET HIM OUT OF SHINJI SO HE CAN BE GOOD AGAIN!!!

*He sighs with annoyance once again, but keeps guarding.*

*He changes out CR's cartridge for a purple one, and readies himself.*

(The snake manages to feed off the hostility of the group and only grows more powerful.)

*he pauses and turns to Kaz*
Shinji has admitted to being a villain himself, the easiest way to defeat the snake is through fighting Shinji, and there's no great loss to be had there.

*he turns back to and walks towards Em*
Worry not, I never aimed to kill you. It would go against my code of honor to simply slay someone. After all, a hero's job is to save people, not end them.

Jackman, obviously the Snake made him say that, he was being possessed, after all, I was possessed by Wrath and Gamma was also taken by Envy...they had an effect on us, so please trust me and help us save an innocent person...unless you want to become a villain too.

*He looks at Jackman with a serious looks, with determined eyes*

If we all work together, then we'll find a solution, trust me Jackman, trust us!

*He smiles at him*

*Sigh* Thank you, Jackman.
Again, I'm sorry I shot you like I did. It was a reflex thing, I shoot to protect my comrades, and that blinded me for a moment.
However, whether you like him or not, ending Shinji's life isn't the heroic way here. He's still a human being of sorts, and should deserve the same respect as any other. Especially when he's been trying to redeem himself as he has.

*he looks at Kaz, unamused*

Shinji said that well before the snake was even a thing. And I saw the sort of things he did with my own eyes. Shinji is very obviously a villain. Heroes like I fight villains. Its really that simply.

Ene

(As the snake's power grows the area turns into a pit. There is dried blood all over the floor and red water drips from the walls. Around the room lie the bodies of several children all suffering different injuries and with their red eyes wide open. Black snakes gather around Shinji as Ene dissapears from the group only to rejoin the rest of the children. Ene appears once again but is now laying on the floor and noticeably pale as if she recently inhaled poison. Around the room there are also metallic spears covered in dry blood and a rock lying nearby.)

(The snake hisses in pain within Shinji.)

Voice: You have officially become an unsuitable host.

(A black cloud of dust exits Shinji and then it reforms into a giant transparent snake and occupies most of the cavern. The serpent's head reaches the ceiling and yet it is still able glare down at the group.)

Snake: It appears I must do you all a favor and destroy you.

*His head lunges forward toward Kalib.

Snake: Starting with your for getting near a former host!

*Draws Deagle and fires at the snakes left eye*

*She shifts in her sleep*

*Pulls out his shortsword in gun form and shoots the snake's right eye."

Oh Leo! It seems the snake is visible, fire away. INFERNO!

*Kalib braces for the incoming strike as the snake is swathed in flames.*

(Upon touching the ground Jackman is able to see a group of children that all have red eyes. Ene is among the group and they are all terribly injured with an assortment of bruises and bite marks. As they stand to look at the snake they all appear confident but that confidence is soon shattered as the snake kills half of their group. Within a few minutes all the children are dead and the snake begins to laugh.)

Ene

(The snake hisses in pain as both it's eyes get shot and it manages to pull it's head quickly back. Upon glowing red the eyes manage to recover. Fire then consumes the snake yet when once the fire dissapears the snake appears unscathed.)

Snake: Well that was pathetic even by human standards.

(The snake then moves to bite a white haired girl laying on the floor and it's eyes turn a bright red upon the group. Suddenly pure stone begins to crawl up among the legs of the group members.)

Kazuya

*He gulps as he looks at his COMP.*

I know what I have to do but...!
I can't command so many demons during battle, but with this...!

*He looks at his surrounding for a moment before hiding behind the rock. He keeps looking at his COMP as his eyes turn read, and his body loses its consciousness. Kazuya lays there without moving, but his COMP then acts in a weird way, as it summons Cerberus, Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Trumpeter and Metatron.*

*Cerberus lead the charge as it attacks the snake with God's Hand, Trumpeter with Debilitate, Lucifer with Blazing Hell, Satan with Diamond Dust and Metatron with Megidolaon*

T-the hell?!
*Em changed out the cartridge, and shoots one of the snake's eye with Ice.*

*Warps away from the snakes gaze, then begins burning every corpse he can find*

George_Jackman

*After seeing this, Jackman calmly turns to Ene and attempts to wake her. However, once the stone appears, his efforts are spent attempting to break the stone forming around him*

*The spartan rushes at the snakes other eye, as Kalib begins smashing the stone with his trident to try and free himself.*

(The snake is weakened by debilitate only for it to be hit by an onslaught of demonic attacks. The many strikes of Kaz's demons ends up slicing the snake all over creating many deep wounds. The snake does not even have any time to recover before one of it's eyes is frozen with ice. It's other eye is then slashed by brave blade. After having both it's eyes taken out the snake squirms with pain.)

Snake: You will pay for this mortals!

(The snake sweeps it's tail throughout the pit tossing anything along it's path.)

*Keeps warping around, making sure to stay out of sight of the snake, burning as many corpses as possible*

George_Jackman

*looking at the chaos, he simply nods*
I suppose I'll have to leave the fight to you, young heroes. In the meantime I'll do what I can.

*he grabs Ene and takes her well out of the snake's way*

*Em uses the tail swipe to escape the earth around his feet, and the fires Gravity Dust with Crescent Rose to fly up onto the Snake's head.*
Hey, I don't like what you did to my friends. How about we take a little time and BOND!
*Em begins to go ham on the top of the snake's head with Crescent Rose, carving up it's flesh like Thanksgiving Turkey.*

*Kalib is flung back from the hit of the colossal snake, landing far away. He struggles to stand and blood is dripping down his forehead.*

*Kalib wipes some blood from his lip and laughs, the flames in his eyes roaring to no end.*

Let's go! Spartan Fury! Can you feel it? My emotions?

*Leonidas appears and with a grunt, he launches a volley of spears at the snake.*

*Trumpeter quickly goes back to Kazuya's side to take anything that could've injured him. Of course, all his demons except for Cerberus recieve a good amount of damage. Cerberus then lets out a ferocious howl as the demons prepare themselves for another onslaught of demonic attacks.*

Now guys, give it everything you've got, destroy that bastard!!

*A pixelated Kazuya says from his COMP. Cerberus attacks Megaton Raid, Lucifer with Morning Star, Satan with Black Viper, Metatron with Divine Judgement and Beelzebub with Demonic Decree. They make sure not to hit Em or anyone else.*

Bet you didn't see it coming!!

(Shinji has managed to burn more then half of the corpses at this point.)

(Once the snake's eyes are healed it lets out a raspy laugh.)

Snake: Playtime is over fools now it is time to die.

(The snake winces as Em carves up the flesh on it's head but then it smashes it's head against a rock wall with Em on it. The snake then uses it temporary freezing ability and turns the spears to stone also hitting Kalib with the power again.)

(The snake has no time to respond before it is hit by a series of blasts. After a particularly strong demonic decree the snake lets out a hiss of pain as the wounds on it continue to bleed.In a moment of pure rage the snake swings it's tails directly at kaz hoping to deal lots of damage.)

*Still burning kids, still staying out of sight*

*Leonidas appears and let's out a war cry. Allied forces ATK/DEF/SPD up.*

*Kalib begins breaking the stone again.*

*Before hitting the wall, Em puts the bottom end of Crescent Rose towards the snake's head, which pushes deep into it's skull as the bladed end hits the ceiling. However, Em is still flung directly into the stone wall. The snake now has CR sticking out of it's head.
Em falls to the floor.*
S-Saul, prepare Healing.
*Saul is summoned, and it begins to charge Healing for the party.*

Kazuya

*Trumpeter barely even manages to stand between the incoming attack and Kazuya before they're launched into a wall. Kazuya immediately regains consciousness, but his Demons Metatron, Satan and Trumpeter are gone. Kazuya was greatly injured but he manages to stand up.*

That power was incredible...but it makes me a sitting duck...I see...!

*Kazuya point at that damn snake as Lucifer uses Heat Riser on Cerberus, Beelzebub keeps attacking with Demonic Decree, and Cerberus rushes at his opponent attacking with a powerful God's Hand. Kazuya's body begins to charge magic as he unshealts his two swords.*

Just die already!

(After being struck by crescent snow the left side of the snake's head begins to bleed profusely. The blood stains the ground as the snake hisses in pain. The snake's wounds then open up in full force as Kaz unleashes yet another onslaught upon it. By the time Demonic Decree and Gods Hand are finished the snake is quivering in pain.)

(In a fit of absolute rage the snake emits a roar that shakes the very ceiling of the pit. Under the intense shaking many of the iron poles stuck to the ceiling fall upon the group.)

(After it's brief fit the snake then calms down and begins to laugh.)

Snake: Good thing you got rid of those corpses. It's really only the souls that matter to me!

(As the snake speaks these words the ashes left behind from the child corpses flow into the snake. Upon receiving the ashes the snake gains a solid black form and lights in a variety of colors can be seen inside of it. The lights are purple, yellow, green, light blue, black, and yellow in color.)

Snake: You people will be my next soul meal!

(The snake gazes at the group with it's vibrant red eyes.)

Snake: Concealing eyes!

(The purple light inside of the snake grow brighter for a second and then the snake suddenly dissapears. It appears as if the snake has vanish completely from the room.)

(Unknown to the group the snake is invisibly circling around them.)

Anyone got a smoke bomb?

*he cautiously backs further away from the rest of the group, still carrying Ene*

It seems the fiend has gone invisible. Very well, I'll see what I can do.

*he kneels to touch the ground, focusing on recent memories in an attempt to locate all living things in the arena*

*Kalib thinks for a moment. "How did it disappear like that? Concealing eyes? What the hell does that mean? Wait..."*

Leo, toss spears around all around us, I have an idea.

*Leonidas begins chucking spears all around the perimeter of the party.*

Emerson

Kalib I can't scan! Healing!
Speaking of which... let's hit it!
*A green light sooths the party.*

Kazuya

*His body keeps charging magic as he and his remaining demons are back to back.*

Keep your eyes open, Pascal, try to find him with you nose.

*Cerberus looks for the Snake's smell.*

Ene

(Upon touching the ground Jackson is able to see the silhouette of the snake's body encircling the group. When he straightens his head he is able to see the snake's head above the group gazing down at them.)

(The thrown spears aim for the snake's encircled body but the snake's skin is simply too tough for them to sink in. The spears clatter to the ground as if hit by an invisible wall. Cerberus then attempts to track the snake through smell but he is unable to find anything since the pit itself is filled with overpowering smell of the snake.)

(The snake's voice fills the pit.)

Snake: You should all just accept your fate.

(The snake's body slowly presses in on the group in a tighter coil formation.)

(The snake suddenly reveals itself and smiles at the group.)

Snake: Drawing Eyes!

(Even if the group members are not looking at the snake they are still compelled to look up at his overarching head by a mysterious force.)

Emerson

"Em switches his Gun back to sword mode, glowing red, and punges it into the snakes body with Fire."
Get off!

George_Jackman

*he looks up at the snake, and announces proudly*

Aha! I found the villain it..... Its not invisible anymore. Fantastic. Well, it seems today is not your lucky day, villain. You will rue the day you caught the attention of George Jackman, hero extraordinaire.

*he lays Ene back down, and runs to the snake, slashing at its head*

Hey! Lookie here!
*pulls out deagle and unloads 7 rounds into the eyes, spreading the damage*

Kazuya

It's a good thing we can see you now!!

*Lucifer attacks the snake with Morning Star. Beelzebub with Megidolaon and Cerberus with God's Hand. Kazuya's body keeps charging the same, weird magic.*

*Kalib tosses his trident at the right one.*

Ene

(The snake attempts to hide a wince as Em plunges a fiery sword into his body. The fire is unable to spread due to the snake's wet scales but some burn damage is incurred at the area where Em stabbed. Jackman then leaps up and attempts to slash at the Snake's head but the snake hits him with his forehead. The snake then bring his head back up to continue staring at the group. This leaves it open for Shinji's direct eye rounds. The snake's eyes are temporarily disabled for the moment shutting off it's ability.)

Snake: In the end all of your actions will be worthless.

(Kaz's strikes manage to hit multiple point of the Snake's body causing those points to noticeably weaken. The trident that Kalib tosses directly hits the snakes right eye causing it to hiss in agony.)

Snake: You are only delaying the inevitable!

(It suddenly tightens up it's wrapped around coils in an attempt to crush the members of the group. While it does this it moves it's head even higher out of range of the group.)

Emerson

Kalib, I have an idea. Prep Leonidas for a shield jump! I need a boost!
(Em summons Saul around him, pushing hin above the people in the bind. He squats, waiting for Kalib's que.*

George_Jackman

*the wind is knocked out of him as the snake hits him to the ground, but he notices the new, weaker points in its scales*

HaHa, I told you things will always work out for the side of justice. Enjoy your last moments vile fiend!!!

*he runs to the nearest weakpoint and stabs it with his katana*

*The flames in Kalib's eyes roar again as Leonidas appears in position. Ready to boost Emerson into the air.*

You're right! We are delaying the inevitable, I should hit you harder!

*warps on the snakes forehead and places a hand on it, where Mana carves a magic circle that begins gathering fire Mana*

Kazuya

Beelzebub take me up there!

*Beelzebub takes Kazuya and flies towards the snake's head. Unfortunately Cerberus and Lucifer are not able to get away, Lucifer takes Cerberus and gets him out at the last moment. The demons is then crushed and takes a serious amount of damage, and Kazuya is forced to retire him. The magic that Kazuya was charging up begins to cover his entire body, almost as if his body wasn't able to take much more of it.*

This has to work!

Emerson

*Em hops onto Leonidas shield, and swaps his swords cartridge. It glows purple and black.*
I always know what I'm doing.
*Leonidas shoots Emerson up into the air, and he uses his Sword to give himself even more of a boost, and he flies directly into Crescent Rose, swinging around it to reduce his speed.*

Ene

(Different portions of the snake wince as Jackman stabs a weakened part of it with his katana. Upon sensing Shinji's presence on it the snake forces it's left eye to open even if this action causes his trident impaled right eye to throb in pain.)

Snake: Clearing eyes!

(Shinji's move is instantly cancelled by the snake's ability but the eye is not yet healed enough to block off Kaz's persona. The snake then attempts to shake it's head to get Shinji off. As the snake does this it fails to notice Em's actions.)

(Since Jackman and Kalib are still on the ground they slowly get crushed by the snakes tightening coils.)

Emerson

Man, this snake is dumb as hell...
*Em stabs his sword into the snake, giving himself a hand hold.*
Get ready. Hasta la vista, baby!
*He pulls the trigger of Crescent Rose, still loaded with Gravity Dust, and the 6 foot mechanical scythe is put fully into the snakes skull.*

Jackman! GET OUT OF HERE NOW! PHALANX OF THE KING!!

*The flames in Kalib's eyes grow brighter and brighter as he's cloaked in a protective light.*

*Kalib and Leonidas give their all to push back the snakes approach and attempts to give Jackman and himself some breathing room.*

Woah!
*Shinji is flung from the head, but uses wind magic to stabilize his fall*

Well drat, aren't you resourceful?

*As he falls, Shinji fires 3 lightning bolts at the snakes moist scales*

George_Jackman

*quickly Salutes Klib while coughing*

Will do citizen, you're doing fine work

*he stabs his sword into one of the snake's weakpoints, and uses it to climb over the coils, making sure to take the blade out once he's free*

Kazuya

Now!!

*Beelzebub then launches the young man against the head of the snake. Kazuya has both swords ready to strike, as he gets closer to it at high speeds. Blue flames engulf his body as Kusanagi takes the place of his right sword, and magic emanates from his body violently, almost like a volcano erupting.*

Lightspeed Slash!!

*Kazuya slashes at the Snake at such a tremendous speed that the human eye couldn't possibly see his attack, he uses both his gigantic sword and left blade, aiming for its entire head. Kazuya is now in the air, behind the snake, unsure if the attack worked. Cerberus quickly rushes at him and catches him in the air, as the young man looks back.*

Did I get it...!?

Ene

(The snake gives an unholy screech as it's skull gets impaled by a giant scythe. Blood instantly pours from the wound as the snake itself becomes dazed. The snake's eyes begin to take on a glassy appearance and it's body quivers. Feeling Kalib push his body the snake barely manages to breathe out it's next set of words.)

Snake: Stealing eyes.

(A green light shines within the snake and it's glassy eyes gaze at Kalib and Jackman. Upon gazing at them the snake instantly attempts to smash Jackman against a wall while putting all the force it has into crushing kalib.)

(Shinji's lightning bolts all manage to strike the snake causing erratic movements throughout it's entire body.)

(Without any control of it's muscle movement and already in a semi lucid state the snake is left with no defense. Kaz's lightspeed splash fulls opens out the wound that Em previously created and within a matter of minutes the snake's head can be found on the floor.)

(The rest of the snake's body simply collapses around the group in a puddle of blood.)

George_Jackman

*he is flung against the wall, but soon gets up, coughing a little blood*

Ha.. Take that evildoer, you're no match for a real ally of Justice. Now then, back to the person we're here to save

*he stumbles over to where he left the unconcious Ene, and attempts to wake her*

*Blood continues pouring out of Kalib's mouth as he just grins at the snake, the flames in his eyes strong as ever. He continues pushing against the snake, and the only thoughts going through his head are "Fuck you, you fuck".*

*Kalib struggles to climb out of the hold the snake had him in. However he eventually climbs out and smiles at his comrades.*

Did...we...do it?

*Kalib limps over to Jackman as the light fades from his body.*

She okay Jack?

*He smirks as Cerberus lands, Kazuya jumps from the back of his demonic dog like a show off*

You lost, yeah...but don't lose your head over it.

*Cerberus just stares at Kazuya with annoyance. Beelzebub goes back into the COMP.*

I'm...guessing that's it?

*He walks towards the unconscious Ene.*

H-holy shit...
That was amazing! We did it, I hope.
*He walks over to Jackman and Ene.*
How is she? She gonna be ok? Do we need some healing?

HAH! Bet you wished you stayed in me huh!?

Ene

(Among the remains of the large snake there is a small snake that is curled up into a ball. The small snake appears to be asleep and harmless. Around the small snake there also appears to be iron poles with something tinted yellow at the top of them.The massive body of the larger snake dissolves and the dark energy contained within moves out of the room through a wall that has turned blue in the pit.)

(Upon looking around the group is able to notice the apparent lack of any exits.)

Emerson

*Em grabs Crescent Rose from where the snakes head once was, and puts it aeay along with his sword.*
Probably need this... Saul! Begin charging!
*Saul forms around Em, and in a few seconds the party is healed.*

Ene

*Both Ene's let out a weak groan upon being bothered*

Akamoto_Shinji

*Sigh*
Great, we're stuck. Just another screw up for the pile Shinji.....

Ah! Man, thanks a lot Em! Remind me to take you to more missions in the future!

*He smiles at him as he stretches for a bit as he notices the iron pipes.*

*He checks the yellow thingy...yeah.*

*sighs in relief*

They're still alive, fortunately. However, if I saw correctly, that snake still might not be done. Apparently something happens if you strangle them? Its worth a shot.

*walks over to the small snake and picks it up*

*Kalib smiles at the sign of life in the two girls, tearing up slightly. The pain subsiding from the healing.*

Hey, Jackman, we shouldn't mess with the snake I don't think. We shoukd see what comes next. Plus, it looks harmless enough. Maybe it was misunderstood?

Ene

(When he checks the yellow stuff on the pipes Kaz is able to notice that they are corroding the metal. The metal itself is slowly being turned black and the yellow substance appears to be emitting some form of energy.)

(When Jackson picks up the snake it gazes into him with beady red eyes. He is then able to hear a small voice in his head.)

Tiny Snake: Do you accept me as your exit out of the heat haze?

Ene

*Takane continues to sleep*

*Ene slowly opens her eyes at gazes at Kalib*

Ene: What is going on ...?

George_Jackman

*breathes a sigh of relief*

Oh thank goodness, you can talk. I'd have felt really bad if I had to do something drastic. So.... Ummm.. I saw a vision earlier, where some lady choked a snake that was quite a bit like you to death. Do you know anything about that?

Ene

(The tiny snake gazes into Jackman's eyes.)

Tiny snake: So you were able to see the moment when the traitor was punished.

(The tiny snake then looks down.)

Tiny snake: That lady you saw was our queen.

Kazuya

Em, please check this yellow subbstance, analyze it to the best of your abilites.

*He walks towards Takane and attempts to wake her up.*

*Saul begins to scan the yellow substance in any way it can, and snall bursts of light appear around him every so often as he does it.*

*Takane slowly wakes up and gazes at Kaz*

*Takane then looks around*

*Ene suddenly rushes in front of Takane and glares at Kaz*

*Warps to Ene* Hey, remember me?

(The tiny snake gazes at the spot where the big snake used to be.)

Tiny snake: Indeed the snake you just fought was a traitor to our kind. He trespassed upon this world and tried to abuse his power.

(As Saul scans the substance he is able to detect vast amounts of dark energy coming it. The energy is the exact same type as the one surrounding the very world the group is in and what came from the giant snake. Even both Ene's appear to exude the exact same energy.)

(The tiny snake looks at the yellow substance with disgust.)

(The blue wall appears to be transparent and by looking closely at it Kaz is able to make out a monitor or two. However upon close glance the wall appears to be very solid and impermeable.)

(Ene laughs at Kalib's question.)

(Takane takes a step towards Shinji and glares at him.)

*Saul is summoned and scanning begins. During the scanning, bright flashes of light occur somewhat frequently.*

(Upon scanning Saul is able to detect that the wall can defend against even the most intense of explosions. In fact the wall is designed to repel any form of explosion or other magical ability.)

(The wall as if sensing Kaz's charge repels him.)

Oh lets count the ways, Well, there was the infection obviously, then there was when I ha.ked her systems, then I pissed her off and caused her to attack everyone, then I pushed her to take the card, and ever since then she's been falling apart.

(Upon touching the wall Jackman is transported to the day when Ene first got infected. He is able to see how she brings about a serpent through her madness. He watches as Shinji fights the serpent only to spread an infection among all present. Finally he watches as a black butterfly leaves the scene and Ene's world breaks.)

Ene

(They both yawn together.)

(Ene gives a thumbs up.)

Ene: I feel great as always!

(While Takane smirks.)

Takane: Decent enough.

(Both of them suddenly jump back as yelling is heard.)

*he continues to stare at the wall for a moment, stunned, but soon turns back to Shinji, obviously furious*

*Small ripples of air leave his body, and weak, red flames cover his body for a moment before disappearing. Kazuya now goes back to where he was initialy and crosses his arms, letting out a sigh*

(As of sensing the tension of the group the wall suddenly begins to vibrate with more energy. The yellow substance on the polls also begin to glow.)

(Both Ene's feel the rising energy and their eyes temporarily turn yellow then back to their respective colors.)

*he thinks for a moment, then grabs one of the yellow tinted rods, and tries poking it through the blue wall*

They said this had the same sort of energy as the snake. Perhaps it can be used as some sort of key?

(As the yellow substance passes through the wall it dissolves parts of it. The rod is able to pass through and now there is a gaping hole in the wall.)

(Both Ene's turn noticeably pale through the entire process and their eyes remain yellow after the rod passes through.)

*give a cry of triumph, as he fails to notice the Enes*

Of course, now then, I'll just need to open up a bigger hole and we should be able to pursue the fiend further.

*moves the rod through the wall, dissolving enough to make an easy entryway*

*He claps with enthusiasm*

(Upon the utterance of this yellow dust particles fly out of the just opened room and hit the group.)
